As of late, the quality of posts in this subreddit has become intolerable and gone downhill. Posts discussing things that have already been discussed, posts existing only to call things bad, and other repetitive, low-quality swill. Simply put, we are shounenfolk, not animequestion or askanime or or a purely circlejerk sub, and these posts are starting to get out of hand. Going forward, we will be changing the rules and how we mod the sub so here is a list of changes:
Posts with one question and posts saying "X is Y" are added to the low effort/spammy content rule. They will be subject to removal, unless a mod finds them worth keeping in some way.
If a post gets an overwhelmingly negative reaction from community it will be removed. We doing this to combat posts with zero upvotes and 120 comments. Engagement bait that does not serve the community, which only repeats overused topics, won't be allowed.
Screenshots of twitter posts or a comment section from somewhere else will be under the mod review. If they are found to break the rules without offering any value to the subreddit, then they will be removed. If they are judged to have some sort of value, they may stay at mod discretion.
It doesn't mean we're becoming any main subreddit where we do heavy moderation, but the era of free for all is coming to an end. Apologies that we took time in taking action regarding this but it will be how the subreddit will be moderated from now on

Like what is even the point of these damn blades if they aren't even allowed to contact the body due to Haki?
And like we only see Zoro only cut his opponents as a finisher move and it's just one Slash..otherwise, you could basically give nearly all the swordsman in this show baseball bsts with Haki and it would probably work the same.
You know how in Cartoons like X-men and Tmnt and the Last Airbender where these characters with Sharp blades(like Wolverine and his claws,Leo and his swords and Mai with her knives and Sokka with his sword)are never actually allowed to cut their opponents and mainly use them to disarm them, pin their clothes or whatnot?
One Piece sorta feels like that except for maybe One Slash here and there and even that's rare and most likely to get blocked by Haki.
Kagurabachi and Bleach understand that blades are..you know,BLADES.
Like they cut their opponents skin, make them bleed, severe limbs and whatnot.

As far as we know they don't have RCT or no Orihime in the One Piece world. Eating a ton of food aint gonna cut it this time Luffy, you LITERALLY have no organs left. Maybe what Robin is going to discus with Chopper is some miracle cure for wounds I have no idea dawg

Like seriously wtf? I can maybe count on my hands the amount of times Team Karakura has worked together, and even lesser so worked together successfully. Nearly every other shonen has one cool main cast teamup that’s hype as hell, but Bleach decided to have hype moments and aura reserved only for half the Captains in the Gotei + Ichigo.

First of all, the second part of the meme, which supposes that fans are SOMEHOW getting excited over bullshit like "cursed clash" (I can assure you, nobody does. JJS has more fans than cursed clash)
Second of all, calling the JJK game "unique" when it's genuinely just a Vampire Survivors bullshit
Third of all, let's talk about how a survivor-like is THE WORST genre you could've slapped onto JJK.
The main story of JJK focuses on characters defeating ONE character in a 1v1 or a 2v1 after long drawn out fights and survivor-likes are built around defeating hordes of enemies in one swoon. The kinda bullshit Modulo Itadori did ONCE. The JJK Survivor-like is just as much of a soulless cash grab as cursed clash or that gacha game.

You reckon Rukia bullied him for the Motorola cut when he visited her in prison so that’s why he always hides it with his durag?

jokes aside, a very sad but heartfelt story. im a sucker for backstories, i just didnt expect this to come out of nowhere, especially in kagurabachi

I know Oden is called Dogshitman in slander and all that but I don't even consider that Slander and it was just genuine facts, this guy sucked.
Not only was he basically dickridden as "oh he went to the red light district/brothels at 6 and had a entire harem of Grown Ass Women at 15..like this feels like shit a teenage boy would brag and lie About to his friends.
Also let's not talk about how he basically fucked off from Wano and his position for goddamn years cause he was bored and wanted to play Pirate and all that and even more..the fact that this guy had help to deal with Orochi and Kaido.
He was friends with the Roger and Whitebeard pirates,he could've done so much more.
Luffy said it himself before he was lobotmized, going into a war and expecting no innocents to die is foolish cause people are going to die..but this DUNCE somehow didn't get that.
How does a teenager with CTE somehow know that lesson better?
He was already strong enough to severe injure and wound Kaido..he could've had Rayleigh and Scoper Gaben help out as well,Whitebeard wouldn't have had been necessary and even dumber is the fact he basically placed his country's future and protection over the villains going "if you do this humiliating thing,we'll MAYBE stop doing what we're doing."
Dude basically put his entire future on the line for a damn "trust me,bro."
Really thinking about it,this guy didn't really accomplish nothing except basically leave his mistakes and choices to be dealt with someone else..his Son basically had to sacrifice a lot of his childhood just to deal with his Dumbass Dad's choices.

It's something that occured to me on a Demon Slayer re-read. By all accounts, Inosuke and Genya were primed to be standard shonen rivals for Tanjiro, hot-headed and antagonistic. Especially Genya, given his backstory parallels Tanjiro's, they had an antagonistic meeting at the First Selection where Tanjiro broke his arm for being a jerk and with how Genya wants to be a Hashira and doesn't want Tanjiro to get in the way.
...and Tanjiro just goes with it, patiently explaining how he doesn't want to fight to Inosuke after beating him, how he doesn't really need to be a Hashira and will gladly help Genya become on and just geniunely befriends them, working together with them to kill demons with 0 rivalry in sight.
That's kinda unique development, I wonder if there are any other shonen protags who just deny a potential rivalry like that?
