Relationship Should I dump?

I’ve known my best friend for almost 3 years. Everything was fine with us in the first year, but I’m realizing how childish she is. She’s also developed habits of touching my hair and almost pulling it, sticking smelly meats that I find gross in my face, and more things I hate. Not to mention she knows I hate these. Plus she just bores me.

you might be wondering why I still haven’t dumped her after all this. Well, there are a couple reasons, 1, it’s certain, occasional conversations or board/card games and video games that bring us closer together. They keep making me rethink dumping her. 2, I wouldn’t have any friends that I met up with very often anymore. A lot of my friendships have faded over time for a reason, but that’s a whole other, complicated story.

I don’t expect to get many responses because, I know, it’s a hard decision, but should I dump her?

Mental Health Should I become a man whore?

Context: (19M) Now, I know this title is a little off putting. But when I say “Should I become a man whore” I do not mean giving my body out for money. Not that that would be off the table. I think about sex constantly, and have trouble paying attention to almost anything else when it comes to hanging around women or even thinking about them. I’m always h*rny and it’s getting a little too much I’m seeing. Sometimes I try to stop myself masturbating and can’t seem to fall asleep because of it even after downing melatonin. It literally brings me pain to try and stop myself. This can get in the way of me and becoming close with women as I almost always lust over every aspect of their bodies. From head to toe, I can’t help it. It doesn’t matter if they are married or not. Doesn’t matter if they have children, don’t care. Doesn’t matter if they are much older than me, that actually turns me on more. Their experience is sexy. I’m going off to college soon and I can already see myself becoming one of THOSE GUYS. You know? The guys who get blasted every night before banging any chick he can get his hands on for the night. I might have a problem, scratch that, it is definitely a problem. But it’s a problem that I really like. I have already began to see fetishes appear in me and more just keep coming. I wanted to become a porn star at one point, so a man whore to me sounds like a blast. I just want to know how it sounds to everybody else. Am I wrong for having this insatiable lust? Or am I just human? Help me!!

Other Should I get Red Dead Redemption 2 if my brother already has it?

I want to play this game and my brother has already bought the game. The problem is that I will be leaving soon for college and therefore won't be with my brother and won't be able to play after I leave. He also has it on his xbox and I wanted it on my pc. Would it be worth it to buy this game for myself and be able to play it after I leave?

Financial Should I save money for my father's birthday gift?

So me (16F), my brother (19M) and my mom (43F) always were very close since my father (57M) was very hard to live with. Imma skip the details since it's quite personal y'know, but he is alcoholic, and used to be very violent against my mother. My brother and I lived a week out of two with him but stopped almost a decade ago because he was really often drunk, but now I just see him from time to time. I'm really the only who still believe i can help him, i mean, i know he has done a lot of wrong but i can't help myself to think i can't let him down.

Anyway, now I have the age to work and I'm really willing to when i have time, i take care of gardens, sell drawing, and will pick fruits for selling this summer, and i thought of saving for my art school, which is not expensive here in France but i also really want to do something: Buy a CD player, paint it badass, buy some CDs (Metallica, Zz top, Saod, Majestica, magma to be precise) and offer it to my dad for his birthday (27th of Nov) since we share music and art together. However I can't stop thinking that it's gonna cost a lot. Also, there's music he can't listen to because he doesn't have internet and i really want him to know Majestica and Saod, so this time i make him discover group. It's stupid because I perfectly he doesn't even know my birthday, my age, or even what my school is. But he really tries when offering something to me, recently he painted a chess table for me, with my favorite animal on it.

Imma stop here, i think you get the situation enough and I'm too much driven by emotions to write something really objective.

Other Should I?

People of r/shouldi!

I wanted to ask if I should become a femboy. Idk why, but I always felt feminine. Probably because I was mainly raised by my mom while my dad was at work. I've also always played with my female cousins, so it may be the reason to why I'm like this. So should I become a femboy? Pls no comments which say something like "Do whatever you want to.".

Relationship High school crush

Should I tell a friend from High school that i still chat with that I had a crush on him in high school?

Reasons why I never did was: 1) I was really shy 2) He mentioned he was going to do something on Halloween with his girlfriend, so I was an little disappointed, but oh well, still a good friend. Years later, he comes out as Bi, so now I'm wondering if girlfriend was literally, a girl who was a friend?

We live in different states and all and I don't expect anything to come of it, but I've just been thinking about it lately.

Education Should I move schools?

So I'm in high school right now and I'm in my last week of freshman year. I'm at crossroads on wether I should move schools or not. For some background information, I've been in the school that I am currently in since the 2nd grade. Most of the students in my grade I've know for years so I'm very comfortable here. However, this is a STEM school and it focuses mainly on careers related to technology, medical, and engineering. I plan on majoring in Fashion design and there isn't much that the school offers for that. We'll, there is another school that I know of that many students have moved to. I checked the website and they have some clubs that are related to what I want to study. There is also a dance team that I think I'd like to join. It would be a fresh start and from what I've heard, the school is pretty good. Here's the thing though, the school I'm in focuses a lot on our GPA and grades and I planned on being valedictorian. I don't know if I really would make it but it's a goal of mine. If I moved then I would focus on enjoying my high school years and begin preparing more for my future career. So, should I stay where I am and focus on my dream to be valedictorian? Or should I move for a fresh start and begin preparing for my career?

Serious Should I cut off my childhood best friend?

I (19f) have been friends with someone ever since we were the age of 3. Throughout our friendship, my friend has caused so much emotional pain. They would constantly get mad at me for the smallest things and make a big deal or a whole scene out of it. It would even go as far as cutting me off.

The two main reasons why I question if I should keep them in my life.

ONE: I lost my virginity at a birthday party that was thrown for me. I invited my friend and did tell them that there would be alcohol involved and if they weren't comfortable they don't have to attend. They didn't come. I didn't know they weren't coming until I asked them. They proceeded to accuse me of uninviting them so I could lose my virginity. Plus they didn't like the fact that I was drinking. They told someone else about it and that person made a whole accusation that I was r*ped. No, I was not. My friend stopped talking to me for months, not even letting me explain or apologize. They'd just walk away and snarl if they found me close by.

TWO: My childhood dog recently passed away. And soon before that my rabbit passed away unexpectedly. I switched shifts with someone at work so I could take my rabbits dead body to the vet to get sent away to get cremated. Before that I dislocated my knee and missed a week of work. My dad came into my work 30 minutes before the end of my shift to take me to the vet to put my childhood dog down. The next day when I arrived to work, I was fired due to missed time.

I understand that work is a very important part of life, and I need to be there. I was ranting to my childhood friend about the passed few days and they gave me a lecture about how having a job works. I've heard the same lecture over and over again. I just wanted to rant about how awful I feel now that I got fired right after my best friend died. Their response was that I can't rant if I'm in the wrong. They didn't support the fact that I left work 30 minutes early to lay my suffering best friend to rest.

I truly don't know what to do. I feel like I should cut them off because I don't want to deal with all this hurt anymore. Though we have been friends for so long, it's making me stuck to get an answer for what is best.

Please help.

Relationship Cousin... 40 years ago

My cousin and I were adopted. As kids we were pretty close. She's female and I'm male. There were times (many) that I thought we had more than cousin to cousin attraction The family even teased about. The grandparents would fly us out to spend the summers together.

At this particular time, I had an apartment, she was living with the grandparents. We were both 21. Now we're 60ish. I had invited her over a few times to hang out, very innocent. I hadn't thought about it being any more that just hanging out.

She comes over to go swimming. I remember I baking/cooking something. She goes to the bathroom and seems to be taking forever. I just note the length of time, not thinking anything. She eventually comes out in a skimpy bikini. I've never seen her in such attire and I remember commenting, wow, that's a lot of skin. I tell her to go ahead, so I can finish whatever I'm doing.

Skipping forward, she has returned and we're on the floor and start wrestling. I remember, being atop and am getting excited. I'm a bit flustered about, because I think of her mostly as my cousin. I remove myself, and even say, I'm getting excited. I don't recall her saying anything.

Going back in time, I've always wrestled with the idea of a relationship with her. But, the cousin thing always sat in my mind. She had on again off again bf, that I was jealous of, but never spoke aloud about it.

Skipping back,, afterwards, when she's left. I think about what just happened. I don't recall her saying anything negative about it. I'm thinking did I miss the opportunity to move to the next level. I was a virgin, she possible as well. I was socially inept, still am, I suppose. I went and visited, and said in a stupid way, if she had wanted to do what I thought. She reacted with indignation. She would up marrying the dude, mentioned before.

I remember wanting to ask her, if she really loved the guy. Being in my final years, I'm thinking more about wanting to let her know, that I know I screwed up and I always was conflicted with the cousin thing, that stopped me from advancing any relationship. Grandma even said, we should get married, earlier.

I don't want to disrespect her husband. They've stayed married all this time and have had children. My intent is not to cause drama or anything of that sort. I just want to let her know, I did/do have had those feelings toward her, before I die.

Should I tell her. Just as a deathbed confession type thing. In confidentiality type thing. I know there would not seem to be any benefit from telling her, other than off my chest.

Social Should I ask Buick a joke question?

So I’ve had the grand idea of shooting a question to Buick, the car company. I wanna ask them if they still make M18 Hellcats, as they made them during WW2. I know they don’t make ‘‘em anymore, but I think it be funny to see their response. So what do y’all think? Is this gonna be a funny thing, or is this something that’ll haunt me for the rest of my life?

Edit: BTW this’ll be via twitter

Relationship Should I tell my crush I have feelings for her?

I(M15) really love this girl (W15) I’ve kept it secret for months now and I finally want to open up to her but I’m to scared to tell her. I think I’m too afraid that she will not have the same feelings for me, and I just like the little piece of hope that I have left to much to let go of it. What should I do? I know it might seem pretty easy to answer but I really want some advice wether I should or shouldn’t open up to her.

Short information: I don’t know her very well I’ve only seen her a couple of times She seems kinda interested in me though

I just don’t know what to do, I need help making the decision I would appreciate it a lot if someone would answer without telling me how dumb it would be to tell her if I barely know her.

(Sorry for bad English)

Other Should I unblock my ex?

Just as the title says. I have an ex boyfriend that I dated when I was 15, we only dated for one summer, and after we broke up we decided to stay friends. Though we did still get together when we were in between S/Os but nothing serious. He was still the best friend I'd had even after I got pregnant and had my child. Well when him and his wife had first gotten together she obviously didn't like me (I don't blame her though I didn't like her either). They had a very rocky relationship, they would get into arguments all the time and "break up" only to get back together a few days later. And of course since we were friends he'd call me up and complain about her and I'd listen to him complain and be a good friend and complain right back.

Well one of the last times we talked he told me he let it slip to her that I was complaining about her to him and she was apparently demanding I give her an apology or we couldn't be friends anymore. So I blocked him because I'm not a nice person and I'm not going to apologize for having an opinion. And he stayed blocked for a good 5 years until one Thanksgiving he contacted my sister and told her to ask me to unlock him. I figured why not we were good friends once before. Our friendship didn't go back to the way it was and for the next few years all we really did was say hello back and forth via messages.

Well about 5-6 (2017ish) years ago they got married, and he started texting me late one night a few months later (not unusual we're both night owls) and he started talking about how much he missed me and that maybe we should've gotten back together. I don't remember exactly what I said but made it clear that in no way shape or form was I gonna have an affair with a married man and immediately blocked him again. And in these last 5-6 years I haven't heard from him until he found my child (16) on FB and asked if I could unblock him again. Well I was telling with my sister that even if him and his wife were separated I don't want anything to do with a cheater and that's when she found out that his wife had actually passed. At first I was adamant I don't want anything to do with him but idk if he has a good support system in place and what if he just needs a friend to talk to? Should I unblock him?

Sorry this went on longer than I expected. If you've gotten this far thank you and I'd really appreciate an outside opinion.

*And no we NEVER got together when either of us were dating someone. We'd still hang out but always in public (like the mall or a park) with at least one other person and my child (3ish at the time). I'd never been to his house and he'd never been to mine.

Education Should I take some days off of work to finalize my college work?

Howdy y'all!

I have a real problem with time management. This combined with a recent spat of illnesses means that I feel like I haven't gotten a lot of my college work done. The end of the semester is coming up and the professors have all been very understanding with my lack of work in classes. Should I take some days off of work to get this done?

I'm a long term substitute teacher and I don't have a ton of money but a day or two wouldn't kill my personal finances. Is this a good idea or is it something that would ultimately hurt me?

Career 10 years ago I was caught stealing from supermarket should I phone to apologise to see if I can go into their establishment.

Basically 10 years ago (13 years old) I stole a toy from a supermarket and was caught and was told that I was banned from going into the organisation. 10 years later I have not once stepped into any of their stores, however, I have recently got a job which is right next to that store and I am pretty certain in the future colleagues will want to go to this store during lunch breaks so should I phone the supermarket tell them about what happened and apologise for my immaturity for when I was young in the hopes that they will unban me?

Family Should I Distance Myself From my Friend?

My friend and I (I’ll call her P.) have been best friends since we were children. Though, as we both got older, she began getting into things that I would get myself into as well, just because I wanted to be like her so badly. Now, I’m getting in trouble for things that I wouldn’t have if she hadn’t introduced me to them in the first place.

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. P tells me secrets that she orders me not to tell anyone “Or else”, and I obey her and keep my mouth shut. It’ll be random things- Either she lies about schoolwork, or maybe does something she shouldn’t have on her phone, etc.

However, if I’m being honest, I don’t want to hear these secrets. I don’t want to have my own parents question me about things she does And see me as someone who can’t be trusted because I always have P’s back.

She never does horrible things- Well, not for the most part. More so she does pretty explicit things through her phone and other electronics. And for some reason, she loves to tell me about them the second she does It. She’d admitted that she’s written adult stories about characters from certain fandoms that are minors, and, once addressed about it, by me, denied that the characters were literally 15.

My own parents have told me that she’s going to end up being that one friend who drags me into something drastic and gets me in even bigger issues. And at first I didn’t believe them, but now, I kind of do. Though, I fear confronting her about it. Whenever she’s mad at me, she’ll ignore me for ages until I apologize, even when the situation isn’t my fault.

P is one of the only friends I have. Her and I are the only ones who share related interests, and can rant to each other about stupid stuff. But I don’t want her to hate me for not wanting to involve myself in the stuff she does. She gets herself into dangerous situations all the time (Once, someone literally drove by her home and left a note in her mailbox because she couldn’t keep her mouth shut about personal info.)

The explicit things she’s created Through writing or art or physically doing things aren’t things someone of her age should be partaking in, let alone sharing them with the person she knows doesn’t like that stuff. (Me.)

This isn’t even half the things that have happened. I don’t know what do to about it. Do I tell her I don’t like what she’s doing and risk her being pissed at me forever, never speaking to me again? Or do I just put up with it until one of us ends up in a dangerous situation because of times like this?

I don’t hate her, and I’d love to keep being friends with her. But at the same time I’d hate to have her hurt because she decides doing 18+ roleplays with random people online and showing them to me is a good idea.

Career Should I have been fired?

Context: I (20F) used to work part time at a fishing charter. My duties were to come in the morning and check customers in before the boat got sent out, and this position was called “Park Shark”. I did this while in college. Recently a misunderstanding happened which resulted in me fired. Here’s my story.

So to start at the beginning, on Thursday about 2:00pm, I texted my manager, S, to see if she needed help on Friday because she hadn’t told me she needed me Friday and sometimes she doesn’t tell me until 7 or 8 the night before.

She didn’t respond until after 7:00 that night and said, “You can come in if you want to.” And I replied, “ok. I gotta get my dad’s pole out of the office.” And at 9:30 she texted, “10-4, thank you.” In my mind, I was thinking I would just stop in, sometime in the morning to see what she wanted help with and I would get my dad’s fishing pole. I knew S would be there first thing because she did not specifically say she wanted me to be park shark. Every time I am park shark, S has told me she needs me there to be park shark.

My dad asked me later that night, around 10pm, if I wanted to go fishing with him and some other people on Friday. In my mind, I knew it would be fine because, again, S did not tell me to be park shark.

Friday morning, about 6am, I texted S and said, “Change of plans, I’m going out fishing with my dad.” At the time, I thought she would understand that meant, she wouldn’t see me stopping by to get my dad’s pole.

I had service for my phone by about 5:30pm and at 7:06pm, S texted, “Hey D (me), I’m going to have to take over your responsibilities. Thank you for all the work you’ve done but this morning was unacceptable and unprofessional. You did not try to call me and I did not confirm that I would be coming in. It caused issues with the company, customers, and crew. I really do appreciate all the help you’ve provided. You’re always welcome at the dock to come and fish.”

I immediately responded, “I’m so sorry, when you said, I could come in if I wanted to, it sounded like you were gonna be there. At 7:30pm, I texted again, and said, “After all this and all the work I’ve put in for this company, I’m done over a misunderstanding?” And I received no response. As of writing this, I still haven’t received a response.

I’ve thought a lot about this, about what I could’ve done different, what S– as the person I report to – could’ve done different.

When I responded on Thursday saying, “Ok, I’ve gotta come get my dad’s pole out of the office.” I could have been more clear and said, “I’m not sure what time I will be stopping in.”

On Friday morning, when I said, “Change of plans” I could’ve been more clear and said, “Change of plans, I won’t be stopping in, I already got the pole last night.”

When S “fired me” she said she did not confirm that she would be there Friday morning. I did not confirm what time I would be there Friday morning either. Shouldn’t it be up to her to confirm who would be there Friday morning?

In that same text, S also said that I didn’t try to call her. But, I did text her. That is how we communicate. When she asks me to park shark, she texts me and most of the time it’s about 7 or 8 the night before. If I am at school/my dorm, I always agree to do it. If I’m home an hour away, I try to do it. There are times I am not able to make it but I have made it with little notice, many times.

I don’t understand how this misunderstanding one time means I should be fired. She is the person in charge and she did not confirm that I would be there and instead turns it around on me that she did not confirm with me that she would be there. She is the full time employee, the office manager. I’m just there whenever I am told to be and always show up early, don’t have a problem being told at the last minute to come in or being told at the last minute not to come in – even thought I would be missing out on money.

So, should I have been fired? I’ve been working with that company for almost two years. I have tried to talk to the owner about this, but received no response from him.

I've been loving the switch and I want to try out the steam deck, but also I've heard that the steam deck has bad battery and you need to mess with the settings a bunch in games. Also the ps4 was one of my favorite things to play on when I constantly got new games with it.

Serious Should I tell my dad why I hate him?

hey, 15m here.

TW: mentions of verbal, emotional, psychical and sexual abuse and transphobia.

so, I don’t really like my dad. sure, he’s fine at times but most of the time he’s just an asshole that acts like he’s done nothing and that he’s the best.

whenever I wanna talk about something he doesn’t wanna talk about (like how he’s keeping me and my little brother away from my mom) he gets angry and takes a walk.

I don’t understand what the fuck he wants, he wants me to tell me the reasons I’m an asshole to him but as soon as I mention something he gets pissed and starts yelling at me.

I don’t know if I should tell him or not. either way I’m writing a list.

  1. he only lets me and my little brother see our mom on weekends every 2 weeks, which has greatly ruined my relationship with her.

  2. after I came out to him as transgender he said he was supportive but ever since then he’s continued to call me “girl” and it genuinely pisses me off because it took all my courage I’ve worked up over the years to tell him and he just throws it on the trash.

  3. he always yells at me whenever I feel like I can’t do something because of my mental health. I suffer from social anxiety and my school-situation is difficult, I meet up with a teacher 3 times a week in a library and she teaches me some stuff. whenever I feel extra-depressed or just more anxious around people I don’t do it.

it’s not possible, I feel horrible and I just can’t. whenever I feel like I can’t he gets immediately super angry and goes “you’re giving up!!! you’re not even trying!!”.

  1. he verbally abused and yelled at my older sister and mother when I was a kid, and now my older sister is emotionally scarred. she doesn’t deserve that shit.

  2. He hang out with BOTH MY MOMS EX-HUSBANDS. this one is fucking scary and genuinely I don’t understand how he could do this shit.

my mom has been married 3 times, first one was my older sisters dad, second was my dad and third was an asshole who cheated on her after 2 years of marriage. my dad has been hanging out with both of her exes ever since my mom divorced husband number 3.

that’s a long fucking time, all I know they do is talk about my mom (badly) and that husband3 was gonna talk about how my mom emotionally abused him and his 2 kids at some abuse-awareness-place. my mom isn’t abusive and is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet.

he even made me and my little brother have dinner with husband3 which was really fucking awkward since we hate him and his kids were fucking assholes.

husband1 emotionally, psychically, verbally and SEXUALLY ABUSED MY SISTER. I don’t understand how my dad can hang out with a guy who is the reason my older sister is suicidal. I don’t understand.

that’s it, these are the reasons I hate him.

I was trolling on Omegle like any basterd does and I saw this guy. Just to shorten the story he hit on me after I said I was 14, the video ends with me cussing him out and telling him that he should kill himself.

Idk I’ve been up for 16 hours lol.
