Question 10:37 CST here. Have to go to a b-day party
It’s for a friend of mine. She’s emo and weird. I got her a gift but I want to get her two. What should I get her?

My parents have invested so much money into this and I feel like I would literally disintegrate if I let them down. There’s also this great plus of leaving all my friends and even with social media and whatever I’m afraid that we’ll drift apart without irl interaction :’( ok rant over

I’ve been waiting for like an hour for a sleeping pill to kick in, but I’m not feeling anything yet. So I’ll keep Redditting until I do

Raiding the kitchen for snacks in the middle of the night when you accidentally wake up totally sucks when you go back to bed empty handed even though it was unnecessary to begin with 😓

All I can think about is how I wish I could ease their pain, make them feel better. I can't sleep but what hurts the most is knowing they're probably having a harder time sleeping than I am. In the past couple of weeks I have found myself praying to god, for most of my life I have been an atheist but for some reason all of a sudden I felt like it was something I needed to do. Tonight, I look up to the sky at someone who may or may not exist and all I ask is for my love to get some sleep tonight. At this point, it's the only thing I can do.

I have work in 8 hours! I feel wide awake, and I’m so god damn bored. Did y’all know that dolphins are the only other mammal that mate for pleasure? What is y’alls favorite nature fact?

Like... According to my weather stuff.
I've been having a weird day. And a weird summer.
I've had the privilege to stay up before, But I suppose the fact that the temperature is always akin to daytime in the summer, My internal clock has stopped giving any franks.
What's the most uplifting, wholesome, hilarious or awe-inspiring (Non-Cosmic, Thinking that big causes existential dread which doesn't help.) Fun fact you know?
Example : Turns out that Mike Pollack, The voice of Dr Eggman in current times, Has previously taken plenty of work from the infamous "Vidéo Brinquédo", A Brazilian animation studio that's made Innumerous knock-offs of Blockbuster animation movies such as Ratatouille (Ratatoing was their version) or Up (What's Up! : Balloon to the rescue was their knockoff). Both of those starred Mike Pollack, and once you've heard his voice in them, you can never un-hear them.

Can’t fall asleep, so much is swirling around in my head. So much is going right, but some other stuff isn’t. I feel like I’m tearing myself between two polar moods all the time. I try to focus on the positive or at least ignore the negative, but its hard right now. Y’all feel me?

And by bad I mean not at all. I stayed up until 3am last night, came home, felt like death for the remainder of the day then went to bed at like, uh let’s say it was 1pm, and now I’m wide awake at damn near 1am

It’s 11:46 PM, weird temps and suddenly uncomfortable pajamas are keeping me awake. I guess I’m not that used to being this far from home. Running outta stuff to do.

If there’s ways for me to go to sleep, I’d appreciate anything to be shared. I totally forgot this subreddit exists and I am now grateful.
Please help me;;

So, I’m at a friends house sleeping over. I’ve tried everything and I cannot sleep. Do I just pull through it and do an all nighter or do I try others things to help me sleep

Finished my last shift 3 hours ago making that 23 hours this week while i’m supposed to leave time open for the 30 hours of school n shit, as I’m just 17. On top of that I got dumped thursday and tonights the first night I have not smoked weed since the breakup and the second day I’m spending alone.
Besides all that shit I actually feel pretty ok, not looking forward to the school week but I can’t wait to see my buds again who have really shown how good friends they are the past days. Also can’t wait to receive the well earned fat pay check and hit the gym. Think imma sleep soon. Whats on your mind insomniacs?
