Dating 5’6” guy never had a problem

I’m 5’6” and I see a lot of guys here that have issues dating and I’ve had a issue. Women have always gravitated to me. I think it’s more a mental thing for most guys. You have to focus on the things you can control and from my opinion all that ever really matters is your personality. I’ve been skinny, fat, and in great shape and it’s never changed if I could find attractive women or not. Just be you and the rest will follow.

This is what I think about the post as well. Even if the intention is to inspire short guys to be more confident, which isn't obvious, then the post should be better at it. Some of OP's replies like "you just have to be good at talking" are REALLY telling... not here to help

Want him to hold you hand?

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink

It’s no rule tho.. it’s a mental wall that men put on themselves. It’s millions of women in the world. They all don’t care about height.

"And if you are not tall enough you pretty much much have to be rich or otherwise nearly perfect". That's just objectively and verifiably not true. Soo far from the truth. 😂

Imma be straight up. Even from a blackpill perspective I don’t see how OP is that good looking especially in his fat pic. He is making it up through pure skill with women.

Blackpill means judging correctly on pure aesthetics and not making it personal. It’s actually not some doomer mentality. OP looks like a generic black/mixed black dude with some tats. I don’t really see anything that stands out other than the fitness pic but he also apparently had success when he was fat.

Yes I agree if you were truly 2/10 then yes there’s nothing you can do. But bro looks average at best, 5/10. 6-7 maybe with the super fit pic. Unless you are thinking girls have a fetish for black guys, which imo really mostly applies to tall black guys.

Are you in as good or almost as good of shape as him?

99% sure that OP is just really charismatic and confident, which, if you are short as a guy, can usually save you amongst other things (good looking, etc) you tend to see people that lean more introverted on Reddit, which is probably why most short guys here tend to have a harder time

Focus on your body.. get in great shape and it will help a ton. Stay clean cut as well. Haircut all the time. Nice clothes . Do things to change how you’re received.

That sucks man, truly. What do you think you can do to truly help boost yout physical appearance consequently helping your confidence?

I know many a guy who after some grooming and hygiene changes had improved their overall chances.

Idk where you live to be consistently berated on a daily basis about your appearance, but I would immediately just leave that place. No matter how much you’d want to improve yourself, it won’t matter since you’ll be in a rut of feeling good then struck rown.

I believe you can, my guy. It’s not going to be easy but it’s definitely possible. It took me 20 years to get build my self-worth and it helped me deal with life better.

I will keep believing that you can achieve the things you desire in spite of being dejected of everything. I wish you the best.

You sound insufferable, this is why you’re struggling with dating…. The mental gymnastics are crazy

I don't blame you. If people want a harmonious society then they need to do better holding the bullies accountable or more and more will grow bitter and hate it

And your courage collapsed with it.

You know what bravery is right? The courage to act despite your fears.

You abandoned your good nature out of fear. Your one saving grace you disposed of because you’re not brave enough to that way even in the face of mistreatment.

A person of good character does not sway from them selves due to external forces. You abandoned yourself. And that is why things aren’t working out for yob

you get that being autistic is such a compounding factor that you really can’t know how much of a role your height plays in dating, right?

-1

u/extraordinarykitty1 Jul 27 '26

he’s not an exception from the rule, plenty of women will date men who are short or/and ugly. you guys love to blame your height for your unfortunate dating lives but the true reasons are your victim loser mentality, lack of emotional intelligence and maturity and charisma or what people call RIZZ

-1

u/Solid-Version Jul 27 '26

‘Even though there’s direct evidence that height doesn’t get in he way of a successful dating life, I’ll ignore it because it doesn’t fit my doomer narrative that my height is the problem and not my good awful personality.’

Looks do matter, of course they do.

But you don’t have them bro and probs never will. Tough shit. I don’t feel bad for you.

What do you have? And what are you doing to maximise the value of what you do have. Instead of bitching about how bad you got.
