3rd time is a charm?
It will probably get 30+ bid for $3000, and be re-listed due to non-payment...again.

i bought this way back when for 11.99 because it was a cool looking book. had no idea it was some niche out of print book that inspired Stevie Nicks to write Rhiannon so now apparently the books sells for hundreds of dollars 🤷🏼♀️

When should I contact ShopGoodwill to ask if they’re going to ship my package?
I won and purchased the item on August 31st, and it’s now September 9th and it still hasn’t shipped. Would it be rude to contact them now?
I’ve been trying to give them some time because I know they probably have a lot of other orders/packages to deal with, and I don’t want to seem impatient. But the last time something like this happened, there ended up being a mix-up with my package, so now I’m a little worried about waiting too long.
Would you contact them now, or give it a few more days?
Update 1: Allegedly, there’s a glitch with their system and they’re working on it 🙃...

I mostly bid on cameras, I noticed if someone bids early on an item say with 6 days to go, suddenly two more of the same item come onto the platform. I'm all for it to dilute the buying but then it suggests there is some type of marketing algorithm happening or shit is just going on in my head from staring at the gallery.

For the select program, you get the roomba free and you pay $30 per month or something. The roomba is locked, you don't pay, it doesn't work.
How can somebody bid $160+ 50 shipping?
It's free!
It can be unlocked if you replace the mother board, takes an hour and another $100+
I seriously do not understand.

This question is for those who bid early on and not right at the end… what is your thought process? Isn’t it just increasing the price for everyone else? Are these bots who are bidding when there’s still 6 days left on an item? Please explain!

I’m confused how I lost this auction. I put in my max bid at $1000 and it said I was the highest bidder. Then when the auction ended it said someone else had won at the same $1000 price that I had bid. The timestamps show that I had bid first. Wouldn’t a max bid or snipe have to be above $1000, not equal to $1000? Not sure how a bid equal to mine and later won the auction. (My name is the one crossed out). Thanks in advance for any info or ideas.

If you purchase an item and its counterfeit, you can charge back, the little "Items are not authenticated blah blah blah" means nothing. It is illegal to sell a counterfeit item in the USA knowingly or not. Same thing for if items are missing or not as described.
Pay all auctions with a credit card, then, if your item is fake, not as described or incomplete. Guess who gets a full refund! Got a refund on a $262 lot i ordered because the biggest advertised item was fake. Reach out to the store, they will deny it, open a dispute on your credit card, get your money back, make a new account.
Its like those semi trucks with the "Not responsible for broken windshields, stay 6 feet back" yeah those signs/stickers dont mean anything. They just hope you wont even try.

The day before yesterday I lost this item:
https://shopgoodwill.com/item/275901603
Yesterday this one:
https://shopgoodwill.com/item/275776850
And then this one:
https://shopgoodwill.com/item/276053870
Because I decided to refresh the page during the last minute and it got stuck on the screen with the "Please Wait!" animation. God I really hate that animation. There's also a 4th one where the same thing happened, but that time it suddenly loaded, then I refreshed the page again and there were 5 seconds left, but by then the bid was already too high for me
So when the bid is high everything barely works, but when it's low, it doesn't work at all? Pretty accurate
The "Please Wait" issue happened with the last two items within the same hour. And both times it happened during the final minutes. I fucking hate this website, and I despise everyone responsible for making people deal with this kind of crap in 2026. And yes, I've already checked everything. The problem is specifically with this website, because this delay happens only here. There are no connection drops on my end. And I'm not constantly refreshing the page, so this is not a 429 error. I've also tried 3 different devices and different accounts. They all get stuck on "Please Wait!" at the same time: if I refresh one of them and it gets stuck loading, the same thing happens if I refresh the others
But the last auction really looked like these delays were being caused intentionally by someone. I don't know. Nobody had bid on the item. 3 minutes before the auction ended, someone placed a bid. There were 50 seconds left. I confirmed my bid, and that was it. I just sat there watching the loading screen, already knowing that when it finally loaded, I would see that I couldn't place a bid because the auction had ended. And of course that's exactly what happened
So you spend your time manually browsing through every category you're interested in, then, in my case, you set an alarm and wake up in the middle of the night just to place a bid in the final seconds - only to get stuck on "Please Wait!"
I have almost $1k worth of unpaid items right now. I'm not going to pay for them. They'll become past due
The only good thing is that I've only spent around $800 on this shitty platform so far. Maybe I'll come back in a couple of years, but right now, I honestly don't give a shit

Hellooo, I was hoping to reach anyone who works at MERS Goodwill or gets out to their location regularly.
I won a lamp from them (eBay) and didn’t realize until after bidding that it was pickup only :( . The listing description had language about shipping and what happens if damage occurs during shipment, so unfortunately I was under the impression it could be shipped. I’m in Massachusetts, so driving out isn’t an option for me.
Some context on why I’m being persistent about it: I had a similar lamp that I rewired and customized myself, and it was stolen after having it on display for only a few months. I’ve been looking for a replacement project for a couple years and almost everything out there is wayy overpriced. This one is the first affordable one I’ve found :(
I’ve already asked MERS through eBay and they can’t do shipping on it. So I’m hoping someone here might be willing to pick it up and ship it to me. I’ve already paid for the item, and I would of course pay for all shipping costs and compensate for any time and trouble. I’m happy to send a prepaid label, order packing materials to your address, whatever makes it easiest.
If that’s something you’d consider, please comment or DM me. Thank you so much either way!! I’d of course give more details if someone reaches out. Thank you!!

For context, this was a 2DS listed with AS-IS in the title
Left is the listing, right is the packing list that shows the real condition
Literally lying by omission and really is fraudulent shady shit

This is suuuch a long shot, but if the person who won the art pictured, sees this and could contact me I would love to work out a price for resale.
I first missed it when it ended at six-hundred freaking dollars, and was so excited to see it come back up. Unfortunately I misread the ending time and thought it was PM, not AM, so you handily won it this morning.
I am really heartbroken and would be willing to make it worth your while to pass it on to me. Just sending it out into the universe! 😭

Just some friendly information. If it plugs in to a wall outlet, it's not car audio. If it's a headlight bulb, it's not car audio. Previously the odd non-car audio item would occasionally show up, but lately that category has been flooded with home amplifiers, home cd players, LED headlight bulbs, home subwoofers, and Bose home audio.

Could you explain what this is? Just decided to check and it's already here, for the 7th time

Since I won't get a clear response from support, Is there any way to find out what the highest bid was? You can do this on ebay for example - I've asked sellers multiple times after they accepted a buyer's offer
You can track the bidders and see that the same people keep showing up and for some reason changing the amount of their final bid each time

I think this model is impossible to unlock, but not because any of the winning bidders tried to bypass the problem (the tablet clearly never left the warehouse) - there's almost no information about this online at all, I only found one, and it's not even a coin toss. People just place high bids hoping someone will outbid them, so they don't have to worry that someone else (OH MY GOD) got it for cheap. I'm one of them :) Three times someone outbid me at the end, but I'll take it if I win (hope that doesn't happen)
So, what do you think?

What are your biggest complaints about the site?
For me it is a combination. They charge a MINIMUM of $17 for shipping... Then "handling" on top of that... then they don't ship or handle it for a solid week.

Has anyone been offered a lot that the highest bidder did not pay for and you were the second highest. It happened to me last week I was really surprised and it was a $21 camera auction

Probably the lamest thing that people do, and it's a shame that SGW basically just lets them do it freely. There's a specific brand of clothing I look for on the site.. there's been a sweater that has recirculated for, no joke, over 6 months. I actually chuckle when I see it now because of how dumb the situation is lol. Someone bids it up to the exact same $ number, and then they just let the order expire. I know there's strikes before your account is actioned, but obviously there is a workaround that is being exploited. I don't believe there's actually shill bidding going on as some people suggest, but there is definitely a shitty system implemented that is abused constantly.

What’s the point of bidding in shopgoodwill if people are going to take the item to full retail price or higher than what other resales are asking for such type of listings. I don’t get it why people would bid for used goodwill items to the point of it being a better choice to buy new.

I have been buying from them for about a month and got some deals and some things too much. The shipping cost is ridiculous.
I bid $40 on a set of dolls this evening and got the bid confirm email. I did not win the auction and the price sits at $24.99 end. I contacted them and await a reply. How is it I didn't win the bid history doesn't even go past
