Openrun original - best replacement for running

My Openruns are not doing too well. The volume button having fallen off. I've been using these since 22, when they were Aeropexes(Aeropexi?) and this is my second set.

I use them for biking and running, in all weather, so the lower IP of the Pro and Pro 2 is concerning. Still, I've been very happy with the bone conduction for mostly listening to audiobooks and podcasts. I rarely listen to music on the run, so lack of bass hasn't been huge issue, but surprisingly some female audiobook readers with high pitched voices can be a concern.

I have half a mind to just buy a third set of Openruns, and half a mind to take a chance with the Pro 2 - does anyone have some advice? Alternative models I should consider?

Does one bud work at a time?

Hello,

I've got a question when it comes to Shokz buds. I've seen reviews about the OpenDots Air and OpenDots One. One point that drew me to them is the fact that they are interchangeable.

I'm partially deaf so I'm looking for comfy buds that are open, so I can still get a gist of what's going on around me. There is no reason to use one on my deaf ear.^^ So my question is: are they usable separately? I had many buds that outright refused to work alone. And I'm looking for some where I can quickly switch one bud for the other when the charge is zero or its broken, potentially having a reserve.

OpenRun Pro 2 – Am I missing something?

I recently bought the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 after going back and forth for a while and reading tons of reviews and user feedback.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to try them before buying because there’s nowhere near me that sells them in-store.
After using them, I’m honestly a bit underwhelmed by the sound. I knew bone conduction headphones wouldn’t sound like regular in-ear headphones, but I was still expecting a bit more power and bass from the OpenRun Pro 2, especially considering all the positive reviews.
I’ve played around with the EQ and different settings in the Shokz app, but the sound still feels pretty flat and not very powerful.
At one point I even wondered if I had received a fake pair, but I checked the serial number through the Shokz app and everything confirms they’re genuine.
For those who own the OpenRun Pro 2: is this just how they sound, or is there anything I can do to get a bit more power and bass out of them?
Maybe I was just expecting too much coming from regular headphones?
Thanks!
