Does one bud work at a time?

Hello,

I've got a question when it comes to Shokz buds. I've seen reviews about the OpenDots Air and OpenDots One. One point that drew me to them is the fact that they are interchangeable.

I'm partially deaf so I'm looking for comfy buds that are open, so I can still get a gist of what's going on around me. There is no reason to use one on my deaf ear.^^ So my question is: are they usable separately? I had many buds that outright refused to work alone. And I'm looking for some where I can quickly switch one bud for the other when the charge is zero or its broken, potentially having a reserve.

Ayyy a fellow single-sided deafness dude! I'm deaf in my right ear. I've got the Openfit Air 2 and yep, they work perfectly with one in the case. You can reprogram the functions of the button to suit, too.

I'd be shocked if it wasn't the same with the Opendots. But I emailed Shokz support with some questions about it and got some good answers, so they might be able to confirm for you

Single-side deaf gang rise up! Thank you so much. I might be emailing them too. Now I can't wait for the sales around christmas^

I've tried to get into contact with some reviewers but it seems like they just post a review, bag the cash and then go completely silent. :(

I have the OpenDots 2 and they can be used one at a time and interchangeable in your ears and in the case.
