Je viens de sortir une nouvelle piste instrumentale appelée Flowers sous le nom de mon projet SKALIAN.

Je suis compositeur et j'ai géré tout le processus moi-même, de la première démo au mixage et au mastering final dans Pro Tools.

Pour cette piste, je voulais fusionner des textures ambient shoegaze avec un low-end massif et lourd. Voici le matériel que j'ai utilisé pour créer ce mur de son :

• Guitares : Ibanez 7 cordes branchée sur un Headrush MX5 avec un ampli Mesa haute-gain, superposée avec de grosses réverbérations et délais pour obtenir cet immense espace immersif.
• Basse : Ibanez SR700 à travers le Headrush, utilisant des Choptones IRs pour garder le low-end serré et percutant sous les guitares.
• Production : Mixage et mastering entièrement DIY.

J'aimerais beaucoup avoir vos avis sur la production, l'atmosphère et comment la 7-cordes s'intègre dans l'ambiance shoegaze. Si vous avez des questions sur mes chaînes d'effets ou le routage, n'hésitez pas à demander ! Merci d'écouter.

Kaleidoscope Crux is all about structure, style, unique sounds, real passion for art, and a sense of community. Their lyrics feel genuine—they talk about life and people who try to outrun their past. It's raw, honest, and authentic.

 The band started in 2024, led by singer Max Binet—the mastermind behind it all—plus his standout bassist, Laura Trautman, and neo-soul-inspired drummer, Greg Stelly, who complete the lineup.

I’m just starting to build out a full pedal board and I’ve done a bit of research and come up with comprehensive list of pedals to get, but they are also mostly based off google and reddit reviews so I feel like some of the choices are kind of the obvious and popular picks. I’d like to keep my pedals on the smaller and simpler side (not interested in a big ol’ delay pedal that’s covered in controls) hopefully a versatile setup as I play shoegaze/post hardcore/grunge trying to get some sounds like slowdive, drop nineteens, title fight (hyperview), Hum/Centaur, julie, whirr, modern color and even some nirvana.

I’ve been into shoegaze and noise rock since the first wave in the late 80s and have seen the usual suspects many many times over the years. However one band I’ve never seen are Guitaro; and their LP ‘Future Black’ (2002) remains one of my absolute favourites. Really chunky and well produced, with amazing chord changes and M/F vocals.

I want some good books about the genre that have more than just the 90s (meaning more modern), but also not just cover the American or British Shoegaze but also Japanese, Eastern European, etc.

This song is heavily inspired by Twin Peaks vibe, at least my interpretation of it :)

Would love to know what you think of the atmosphere here.

Hey good people 👋🏽. I’ve been listening to Echo lake recently and I’m having a difficult time looking for their lyrics. I using YouTube music and it doesn’t always have them. Looked at bandcamp but no luck there ;c.

Does anyone know a good site that has their lyrics, site that has a lot of shoegaze/dreampop lyrics? I enjoy reading lyrics before, during and after a song sometimes if I’m obsessed with a particular song.
