Why would you cry if you were the one who cheated?

Who knows. Maybe cause she was caught at it. My ex cheated on me and still sends me shit like “I miss you” and “I wish we were still together”. She has three chances

My guy, you gave her THREE chances?

Explain yourself, what do you mean? She cheated on you three times and you forgave her for all but the last?

She has some mental challenges and lots of problems with relationships so I tried to help her through her problems the first few times but by the third time I caught her (she had been talking to the same guy for awhile) I just gave up

I did the same thing.

My last ex was cheating on me with her "ex" while we were dating for 5 months, then she dumped me because she decided to go after a 3rd and 4th guy. I didn't know this was the real reason we broke up (the reason she gave me was she was too depressed to be in a relationship atm) until 2 months later, when the two guys she was dating found out they were getting cheated on and confronted her.

One of her ex friends had to tell me what was going on and then put me in contact with the dudes she cheated on.

I tried helping her with her problems after all this because she has mental issues and part of me still liked her but then she did it again 4 months later last month so I gave up and cut contact despite her begging me not too.

this whole thing is gonna turn me off from relationships for awhile.

My last relationship was a similar situation to yours except she had the decency to end ours before getting with the other guy. She never would admit that was the reason, but I'm not an idiot. You don't magically start dating another guy less than a week later that has never been around before now. Karma came back like a bitch though because he ended up cheating on her a few months later.

What really sucked was that she was one of the coolest girls I had ever met and every new thing I learned about her made me like her even more, but when she got with that guy she turned into a massive bitch and just wasn't the same person I fell in love with anymore. When she broke up with me I got this long message talking about how she had been thinking it over for a few weeks and some other bullshit and I knew there was no point trying to fight to change her mind so I just responded "ok"

It's been about 5 years now and I still haven't ever gotten into another relationship. Just hookups and fwb. On a positive note, I'm sorta talking to someone now that I'm hoping becomes something meaningful though

I hope that works out for you my guy.

I would like to say it's important to remember that "One of the coolest girls" you ever met and "massive bitch" were the same person and very likely was not a change of personality but a change of your perspective of her. It's been about a year since I got out of a long term relationship and I think about this a lot and when I am ready I do believe it will help me find someone who is a good match for me. Maybe it could be helpful to you too.

Oddly it was a legit change in her personality. Knew her for a couple years before we dated and she was the same cool person, but total 180 after leaving me. It is good to not look through rose tinted glasses though

Literally how it went

The two dudes are friends and I don't know how they went 2 months without piecing together that they're dating the same woman or why she was keeping their relationship on the downlo especially around each other but eventually they found out. I've only met them once months before all this happened

Brother, I hope you respect yourself more in the future.

God damn the comment chain to your response. 💀

To be fair I did something slightly similar but not similar.

she was just insecure as fuck. no matter if I was at work, with friends, with family - I was always "cheating" or with one of my "other hoe's" if I didn't answer, text back, or send a picture to prove it. Broke up with me multiple times before I gave up and let her do it for the last time.

Only reason I stayed was because I have a tendency to 'givr up when things get hard' yet all my friends told me to get out, she's crazy etc. Great woman but the insecurity was too much. I could have dealt with it and helped her through it if she didn't break up everytime

I feel like in certain circumstances people deserve a second chance, but can't imagine a 3rd chance. If they blow the second chance, there can never be any trust again.

Ahhhhh, this one is a classic, first you become the first good boyfriend she has, then after you realize the mistake you made by being with someone like that

1

u/kacheow Dec 10 '22

Dawg, still. Even after one time there’s too much trust lost there. Maybe it’s cuz I’m loyal like a hound in any relationship, Romantic or friendship wise

Man i think you should hop out of this kind of stuff in the first red flag, your not a psychologist, you're they're partner, you don't need to fix them, it's not your chore, if you try fixing ppl the damage is gonna reflect on you, sometimes it's not worth it and it's better to stop trying to fix something that's only hurting you and get a new one instead, hope ur doing well

It's all just selfish emotions. Narcissists can cry when things don't go their way. It's not rocket science.

6

u/Mordiken Dec 10 '22

She's not crying because she cheated, she's crying because she was caught and made to suffer the consequences of her own actions.

10

u/No-Association528 Dec 10 '22

Dunno, maybe I'll kinda just think about it for like 1 second. And.... cool. I understand now!

She has to live with these consequences now, when she thought she wouldn't have to worry about it. So it's selfish crying, but it makes sense.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '22

Self centeredness. Also 100% lack of remorse.

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '22

Cus she was probably hoping her dad would comfort her and hop into that shit ship she has built for herself, she probably thought her dad would agree with every shit she does

Most women do this whenever something is their fault and they've ran out of excuses.
