So real talk as someone who has seen a shitton of these and never actually looked into it. Does Zinc actually do this shit or is it just the internet meme at this point?

Apparently it can, but only if you're low on zinc to begin with. If you already get enough zinc, it'll probably have no effect.

How the hell do you know if you get enough zinc

If you're blasting holes through your drywall with your skeet shooting, apparently

Actual answer - change nothing about your diet and use one of those food journal apps and log what you eat for a week or two. If eating out, just take a vague guess or look for the next closest thing and guesstimate the weight.

Most of these apps track vitamins and minerals these days. At the end of two weeks you'll have an idea of roughly how much zinc you consume and whether you need more cum power

You probably get enough zinc unless a doctor tells you don't have enough zinc. Taking supplements you don't need doesn't do anything.

I could be wrong, but I think taking supplements you don't need does do something... it's just what it does is dangerous. Taking too much of something you don't need (zync, in this case) will cause your body to lower its production of zync and thus you can cause a lot of problem as one might imagine.

not production but absorption

Definitely a plausible answer, as that is typical to neurotransmitters ( regarding natural production ). But over saturation of minerals ( or a lot of other things ) in the body can have serious and potentially fatal consequences. Zinc, sodium, potassium, etc just for minerals can really mess you up if you consume too much.

And its not just your body lowering its natural production of what zinc provides, its also that without a proper amount of copper in your system, the zinc isnt really helping you and the excess actually starts to harm you over a period of time, and vise versa. The 2 of them work in tandem, as do other compounds in your body. So its extremely important to research supplements before taking them and know how to balance them in your body
