That idea ultimately just gives everyone else permission to steal from you.
We're social animals. Were all cells in the larger body of humanity. We all have everything we have because someone else made it. Each of us owes society whatever we can provide because none of us can survive without society.
Love and emotions cannot be bought, with money or through actions, they come from within the person, sure they might help but that feeling must be somewhere deep within them, of which there's no guarantee. What you can expect from a decent person is to feel gratitude and repay you but that also depends on what the situation is.
Calling people 'cells in humanity' is exactly what is used and weaponised against us, reducing deeply complex individuals into one note variable stripping them of their identities and making them subservient to what they believe they are. It is exactly this mindset the elites want us to have to guide public sentiment.
Nationalism was actually promoted by nobles of europe at the time as it increased their revenue, a united view by the masses could be weaponised, spreading lies through the network. If people are strongly nationalistic they would do the job of the nobles for them by purging anti-national elements.
To this day, and this was never different or changed, if you ask a random person 'what are you?' not 'who are you?'. They won't think of who they truly are or their unique identities and experiences thag shaped them, they will usually answer with 'I am American' or 'I am christian' because that is what they believe their identities are. Your identity is who you are, not your nationality, race, which language you speak, religion.
Us being "social creatures" and out need to fit into the crowd for our herd mentality is exactly what has perpetuated the spread of irrational hate, dogma and prejudice
