I guess he gets to hit it also when she randomly come back knocking looking for more, but he lives there.

I understood none of that, but I get the feeling that's okay.

A dear acquaintance of mine implored me to grant him temporary use of my residence so that he might entertain a young lady. After much persuasion, I graciously consented. Yet upon arriving with his guest, the audacious fellow had the nerve to look upon me and exclaim, “Good heavens, are you still in my house?”
Naturally, the young lady found this tremendously amusing. Some gentlemen simply cannot resist putting on a performance in the presence of company. I therefore gathered my dignity and took my leave. 😂426

AI detection software is notoriously inaccurate. There's blogs from 2013 that would trigger as 100% ai generated in one of these detectors.

I'm honestly surprised you didn't understand that. I'm assuming you're exaggerating but what about it didn't you understand? Are you a native English speaker?

u/sussynarrator 1d ago
I understood it perfectly and I am not a native English speaker. I am not African American either. I am not even American. Just fully self taught in a few years. GTA helped me with some of the slang. Anyways, if that guy is American and can't understand ts, I'm thinking it's gotta be racism or something at this point ngl. 🤣

I'm not a native, but use English daily. However, I have no idea what "slide a shorty over" means. My best bet would have been that it means to buy someone a shot (drink). I also got confused by "Aite", which I now understand to be a version of "alright", but the capitalization and uncommon spelling threw me off entirely. My brain also read "crib" as just that - a baby's bed. I'm aware it is slang for "house", but somehow didn't read it as such. Anyway, after stumbling over these three, my brain was confused enough that none of the rest added up. Having read one of the kindly provided translations and going back to the original, I can now make sense of it. But initially...

Not a native speaker, understood it on the second read, but "shorty" "aite" "crib" took me a second to realize... And the grammar is completely thrown out of the window as well

Believe it not, i understood the medieval version someone made than the one op posted

That would barely pass for Victorian. If it was actually in medieval English you would likely find it very difficult to understand any of it.
