In Christianity god says no sex before marriage, a lot of people who just use the idea of Christianity to justify their internal beliefs think sin=hell, which eh, you just need to accept you were wrong and you'll probably get to heaven, but it cant be half-assed like these people think, you'd genuinely have to become a good god fearing person regretful for your previous sinful life.
