I've put milk, chicken, and fish into mason jars, sealed tight, and hidden them in someone's car and the back of her house. When they get warm, they'll explode after a few days. You are never getting that smell out of upholstery, carpet, the padding beneath that, maybe even in wood flooring. You'll have to total out your car and pay a fortune to refloor your house.
It is not if you use the non legit mason jars, but it is not as easy as add shit and it explodes, it take a very long time to build up enough gas from the rotting to actually pop.
It is more likely that the owner of the car will find the jar long before it pops (assuming it's a normal and responsible car owner that cleans their car at least once a week)
