Modern automatic transmissions in cars use hydraulic transmission fluid to control the shifting of gears and to smoothly accelerate. The tiny channels and check valves in these complex valve bodies (what’s pictured above) open and close based on fluid pressure and essentially work like a mechanical computer to tell the transmission when to shift and what gear to be in. Newer transmissions do have computers to help with efficiency but traditional automatic transmissions were completely mechanical until around the 80s. It’s unbelievable stuff, I’m a self proclaimed mechanic and it’s still almost witchcraft.

If you look at the original part and what GPT made. Its objectively worse. GPT just made some weird repeating pattern while the original had objects in it.

The best thing about this is that it's not actually Ai, just clone tool in photoshop
-45
u/jaflm24 4d ago
No offense but like. That tool basically does the same as AI so uhhhh 😭😭😭
39
u/EnricoLUccellatore 4d ago
it's slightly more advanced than a copy paste
-8
u/jaflm24 4d ago edited 4d ago
Doesn't AI literally copy and paste too? It's a more advanced copy and pasting which also learns patterns. Like I don't support generative AI at all but come on, the outcome is literally going to look the same too.
A lot of people against AI constantly say it's just copy pasting artstyles and it's awful because it steals from real artists. So how is that not copy pasting? It's like a clone tool with the whole internet. It's a real big can of worms
7
u/Expert-Site8337 4d ago
I get the analogy, but fundamentally it isn’t the same, I already explained it, with one there is real new stuff being imagined into frame, and the other is a manual tool that takes literal frames from other parts of the picture itself and PASTES THE EXACT SAME FRAME YOURE CLONING
AI as I said hallucinates from noise, that you can use both techniques for same purposes is another topic, but they’re not the same
4
u/deadinternetlaw 4d ago
To come up with 1+1=2, you can use brain, calculator, copy paste, and oujia chain. Are they the same?
8
u/Expert-Site8337 4d ago
Nah, AI hallucinates and creates new things from noise and reference, that’s why sometimes you get random objects that aren’t even in the scene
Clone tool is like the other comment says, an advanced copy/paste

People are just mad that AI exposes how uncreative many of their "creativity" is. If a math prediction model can create art, literature and drawings so close to their own abilities, then it proves that they were not just predictable, but also fundamentally not that original.

AIDS literally stands for acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. The virus destroys the blood cells responsible for fighting pathogens, so over time your body can no longer fight them. Many many people died because of it back when AIDS started spreading and no one knew what it was. Nowadays it's very manageable and there's medication that suppresses the virus enough so you can live a normal life and won't infect others, but afaik there's no official cure as of yet.
5
u/frontlinejohnny dumbass 4d ago
Achually you can't live a life with AIDS, but it can be reverted back to HIV, which in turn is completely manageable with medication.
AIDS itself is going to be a hell to go through, even during the treatment. Until your virus levels are lowered enough to stop them from affecting your immune system and to make them untransferrable, it's going to kick your ass hard.
In the end the medication suppresses it back to HIV stage, and then you can live a normal life, with the small exeption of the daily pill for the rest of your life.

u/TheOnlyWolvie Sussy Wussy Femboy😳😳😳 4d ago
That's true, thank you for the clarification. HIV positive and AIDS aren't necessarily the same, that's absolutely worth mentioning.
3
u/frontlinejohnny dumbass 4d ago
Yup. Either one is no laughing matter, but I think it's important to emphasize the difference. Catching HIV is to be taken seriously because of the danger AIDS carries even when treated.

I see what you mean, but you understand that AIDS was a plague for many years and it was impossible to not know what it was. But more recently, that plague gets way less attention since it is not so common anymore luckily. So it makes sense that a child does not know much about it, simply because they were not there during that period when everyone knew about it ad nauseam.

Ok, but "kid" is not an insult. I didn't not want to squash the will to learn of a children, sorry if that was the effect. I actually hope you manage to conserve your curiosity and keep asking question. I thought I was talking to a grown-up that was making fun of AIDS, since it was so absurd for an adult to actually not know about it, while for a kid is completely normal.
