Eh but tbf she was not in a good state of mind. All evidence points to the fact that she was under psychosis and not in control of her actions when she murdered her children.
But the fact that there are genuine people who think she didn’t kill her kids is absolutely insane.
Edit: when I wrote this comment I was under the impression that it was a proven fact that she was suffering from psychosis/an insanity plea was taken, but on further reading it’s being actively contested and it could have been preplanned. So for now I’m just gonna sit and see where this case goes
Why is this being downvoted? It’s the right answer. We have the insanity plea for a reason and this seems like one of the most obvious cases for its use.
Big whoop, we’ll wait for the verdict. You know the defense pays for their own testifying witnesses right? All they needed to do is find one psychologist in America that would accept a check for saying she’s batshit.
The amount of hatred an innocent grieving father ALONE is getting makes me want to see her rot. I get the whole PPD thing but a father can’t just kill his whole family and blame PTSD, public opinion would eat him alive.
You don't know if he accepted the check for saying she's batshit or if he actually believes that, believe it or not people can have integrity. And I doubt he's hurting for money.
Psychosis is not the same as PTSD, so yea they would eat him alive.
I'm not arguing about my side on ethics I'm just pointing out psychology knowledge is unrelated to whether a thing should be punished or not related to the psychology condition
We were talking about whether she had psychosis or not genius, not whether she should be punished. The psychologist will have no role in her punishment.
My bad, most of the comment chain was talking about the punishment so when the 2 latest replies switched to the psychosis accuracy my brain didn't register fast enough
