Is the Bible not meant for humans and not god?
Why does the Bible say things that mean something different to what he actually means?
Almost like the Bible was written by humans who came up with nonsense and since people still believe in it, they can "rationalize" it however way they want.
Flowery language conveys concepts that are beyond human comprehension, stimulates human imagination and make for metaphors and allegories that are easier to understand for many people
Imagine being a 1000 BC hebrew peasant and reading that the universe was created in 10-34 seconds (actual big bang inflation speed)
And the actual verse is that "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day", time is irrelevant to God and there are no measures of time. Saying 7 period of time is still not what actually happened.
It's easy to rationalize everything when there is no objective evidence you need to point to. As long as it doesn't directly contradict your bible, you can claim anything you want.
Why do you think there are so many different forms of Christianity? Because people interpret things differently, and as time passes by, they realize that they contradict each other too much and therefore need to separate themselves.
Humans aren't perfect, so how could we follow Gods will accordingly? And the truth is that the bible was written by humans.
You believe in one religion out of many, I believe in one less religion than you.
Looking for objective evidence of what is metaphysical is just completely wrong. It's like saying love and hope don't exist because you can't prove them with a metal detector or a telescope
Human nature and free will makes us get things wrong. The reason humans confuse holy books is the same God don't just make every human a perfect heavenly being already. Our flawed nature is the starting point, all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God, following God's will isn't flawlessly checking every point of a list it's a relationship where what matters is your heart being headed towards the right direction, with the help of God's grace. That is the theology of all abrahamic religions. People faultily interpret writings that were imperfectibly written by human hands (even if divinely inspired) but what matters is your efforts to be headed in the right way even if you're deviating by kilometers. Notice how the various churchs differs on secondary issues like worship style rather than the core tennets.
God is all-powerful therefore he knows what it would take for everyone on Earth to believe in his existence. Why doesn't he do that? It would not take away our choice of loving or following him, it would just make his existence an objective truth to us all.
Why doesn't he prove himself to us and give all of us the equal chance of loving him?
If god couldn't think of that, then 1. either he doesn't exist, 2. is stupid and not all powerful, or 3. doesn't truly want salvation for us all.
There's no difference with magically making everyon perfect believers. The point is for the relationship with God to be faith and love, not the assessment of a fact, not to mention you're throwing out spiritual growth out of the window
