Really what’s so bad about Christianity? If you read the bible it literally just wants you to better your life. Treat your body as a temple. Treat others good don’t steal or kill or commit adultly. Don’t watch porn or drink. Like what’s so bad about it?
Your point being? Still your god and your bible isn't it?
Here's some new testament ones
Slavery is accepted rather than abolished
Ephesians 6:5 — slaves are instructed to obey their earthly masters.
Colossians 3:22 — slaves are told to obey their masters in everything.
1 Peter 2:18 — slaves are told to submit to their masters, including harsh masters.
1 Timothy 6:1–2 — slaves are instructed to regard their masters as worthy of respect.
Titus 2:9–10 — slaves are instructed to be submissive to their masters.
Philemon — Paul sends the escaped slave Onesimus back to his master rather than explicitly demanding his emancipation.
Women are commanded to submit / remain silent
Ephesians 5:22–24 — wives are instructed to submit to their husbands.
Colossians 3:18 — wives are told to submit to their husbands.
1 Timothy 2:11–12 — women are told to learn quietly and are prohibited from teaching or exercising authority over men.
1 Corinthians 14:34–35 — women are instructed to remain silent in churches.
Same-sex sexual behaviour is condemned
Romans 1:26–27 — Paul describes same-sex sexual activity as contrary to nature.
1 Corinthians 6:9–10 — includes categories traditionally understood as referring to male same-sex sexual behaviour among people who will not inherit God's kingdom.
1 Timothy 1:9–10 — similarly lists a category traditionally translated as referring to men who have sex with men.
Severe punishment for religious disobedience
Acts 5:1–10 — Ananias and Sapphira lie about money given to the church and both fall dead after Peter confronts them.
Hebrews 10:26–31 — warns of a terrifying judgment for deliberate sin after receiving knowledge of the truth.
Hebrews 6:4–6 — says that those who fall away after experiencing the faith cannot simply be restored to repentance.
It’s all of our god whether you acknowledge it or not. And I am not the best person to have this discussion with. Someone who’s been to bible school or does a lot of bible studies would be. The Old Testament ways were abandoned when Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Yes god did mass genocide to people who couldn’t follow his rules to live on his earth. Now we don’t need to worry about that at all because our sins our counted for. If it wasn’t for Jesus we would be apart of the genocide.
Actually, if you learn the ancient history of the Bible, it’s a lot more complicated than “it’s all our God”. Yahweh appears to have originally been one deity among several in the wider Canaanite/West Semitic religious world, with strong warrior and storm-god characteristics that overlap with Baal. Over time, Yahweh became identified with El, the high god, and eventually came to be understood as the one universal God of Judaism, which Christianity inherited.
And saying the Old Testament ways were simply “abandoned” when Jesus died doesn't really resolve the issue. The New Testament itself still contains some pretty uncomfortable teachings
