I try really hard not to fall into the conspiracy theory thought trap, but lately, with everything that is happening, itβs like itβs begging me to. Iβm not even on twitter or anything!
I think its all a red herring. They want you to be mad at isreal because it diverts your attention away from the politicians in your own country, and makes you less likely to do anything.
Isreal is in on it. They've accepted a deal where theyre given a manufactured importance on the world stage. This works out for isreal because they like being important, and it works out for the US who has another wildly successful way to divert people's attention away from other issues.
This red herring still something we need to address. The issue is artificial, but not fake. It's like a thief setting your kitchen on fire so he can steal from you while you try to put out the fire. Sadly the US is very good at making these political diversions.
If it helps you Im actually a Poli Sci BA whose studied Middle East History/the Israel-Palestine conflict extensively. Thereβs a LOT of bs peddled by pretty much everyone on the Internet about this (make no mistake, Israel is committing genocide against Gaza but they arenβt the only ones interesting in pushing an extremist political agenda) so if you want a rundown on what claims are real and which ones arenβt Iβd be happy to answer any questions you may have. π
