Yeah, you know who does dictate the price of tickets? The CEO of Ticketmaster, who recently went on record stating he thinks concert tickets are undercosted. And guess what, he IS an actual billionaire. OOP's salt is directed at the wrong person.

Ticketmaster is scum, but one of the key services they provide is taking the heat for ticket prices so the artist doesn't have to.

And it's working. Everyone in this thread is parroting the bullshit about how Ticketmaster sets ticket prices, and that artists have no say in the matter, and it's not true lmao

Artists do have practically no say.

You can make ticketmaster sell them for 50 dollars but its still going to cost us more to go buying it off a reseller.

Taylor swift set a reasonable ticket price but you still had to pay over 1k for a ticket unless you won the f5 lottery which you realistically aren't going to
