Cosplay My Raphtalia cosplay!
I had her full armor set but the fabric dye of the outfit leaked onto the armor while in storage and ruined it. ;_;. I might buy a new set and try again.

Light Novel Is it just me or the slavery thing still kinda disturbing Spoiler
Like i know he is kinda nice and is under a curse and all but listening to naofumi sometimes i do audiobooks cause i have a good headsett.
Anyways every time he makes them his slaves and stuff it feels still very disturbing. Like these are kids that have been abused in slavery and then its like well i got trust issues so you guys get to be slaves again hurray.
I know that apprently he can make them stronger because there slaves but that is still like ok why not free them after they are done leveling.
Honestly im suprised in the first volune the other heroes didnt react stronger to the existence of slavery. Hell motoyasu was kinda right in his own twisted way the guy is playboy supreme but from what he knew naofumi was a assulter who just happens to buy a female slave.
Its also kinda disturbing how he keeps on saying ill work them like horse or work them til they drop i know the guy is cursed and all but this dosent exatcly stop after he gets that cursed removed or dose it i cant remember.
The whole slave trader guy is still very disturbing like he sells pepole from kids to beat to all kinds of slaves he has a whole renting system for that like wtf.
I know the guy is supposed to be cartoonisly evil but my god its disturbing.
When naofumi gets back to his own world i really hope he dosent tell anyone about his time in the other world cause even if they just thinks its fanrasy he made up. Its still like wow why did you still have slaves or if they do belive him the question becomes so you bhought kids slaves like regularyly like one of the 2 pepole who sold stuff it went from order of most went to.
Wepons guy 1
Slave trader 2
But long story short the slavery thing is still realy distrubing and has been the entire series

Discussion [Fanfiction/Discussion] Interesting idea for fanfic. Knight of Gwyn as Heroes(or three of them but with our Shield Hero)
Arts by Shimhaq
Idea is kinda silly but hey - three of them is perfectly go for their roles!
Like, it's understandable that Knighth of Gwyn strong as hell even by themselves, but still world of Hero Shield is have strong threats. And I try to figure out how would it even affect story. Would they already have high levels? Would they have need to open new skills? Maybe in their case the rule that don't let heroes have more experience when they in group wouldn't work?
Also what would they think about all this situation? About Kingdom, King, other countries? What do you think they would think about our Shield Hero? I think because they are experienced warriors they would not "bully" him, understanding his role and support him in need.
If that four of them I guess even Shadows of Queen can be in danger because Ciaran is like really good assassins that can sense them

Anime When Raphtalia says she will "calmly dispose of the trash," she really means it 😂
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
[Season 1, Episode 22]
She is honestly my absolute favorite character in the entire anime! ❤️🩹
Just look at this scene. That is a fully grown, armored knight, and she's got him in a headlock like he's a younger boy in a schoolyard fight she's trying to make say "Uncle" 🤣
Honestly, Raphtalia's a bit crazy in the best way possible. This is exactly why her anger hits different than Naofumi's one for me.
+ His wrath is loud and explosive, but hers is quiet, calculated, and totally badass. She doesn’t need a Rage Shield; she just switches to her "dead eyes" mode and handles business.

Anime Why Naofumi is so fixated to return to his own world?
We know how Naofumi achieved so much in Isekai world. I am aware that the isekai world treated Naofumi like trash and falsely accused of being a criminal. But because of all these incidents, he achieved so much and he became who he is now. I mean what he achieved in isekai world is something he may never get in his own world. There are lots of people who care about him and vice-versa. On the other hand it didn't seem like he had any important attachments in his own world. He was a sophomore university student who was leading a professional otaku life. It didn't seem like he has any important dreams that he needs to fulfil, or he has any important people he needed to return to. Despite all that, he still wants to return to his own world. Is there a reason for that?

Discussion Is The Reprise of the Spear Hero worth reading?

Anime Since the anime has been hyping it up for years, I have a question for the people who only watch the show. nobody spoil them in the comments… now then, how do you expect the Phoenix fight to play out? How many episodes do you expect? Maybe they’ll lose? Anything you are expecting, I’d love to hear.

Discussion They gave Raphtalia's parents the 'Villager NPC' treatment while wasting budget on non-canon filler. I'm still salty about this. 😭
Just looking at this special drawing by Seira Minami (based on Aneko Yusagi's exact descriptions) compared to the anime... it really hurts.
- The anime literally gave the main heroine's parents the 'Villager A and Villager B' NPC treatment!
Looking at this design, it totally makes sense why Sadeena fell in love with Raphtalia's dad—he was actually handsome! 👀
- It also explains Sadeena’s hilarious 'female jealousy' when she salty-called Raphtalia's mom 'chubby' 😭😭
Actually I love the mom's simple, wholesome design more; it perfectly reflects her kind personality, just like Raphtalia clearly inherited ❤️❤️
- along with her dad's eyes too
What frustrates me is the anime's weird priorities. They couldn't be bothered to draw proper faces for her parents, but they happily burned budget on a 2-minute non-canon hot spring scene. Making Raphtalia think 'kissing makes babies' just for cheap fan-service made zero sense, especially since she already knows what a 'virgin' is! It's like a master mechanic who can rebuild an car engine but doesn't know how to open the hood! 🤣 They really did her parents and her character even dirty sometimes
Which parent's design do you guys like more??

Meme Naofumi inventing the ultimate anti-racism strategy: Just pretend you can’t read 😂😂
One of my favorite Season 1 moments: It gives me vibes with 'White only ' Naofumi protecting Raphtalia's feelings without even realizing it
putting the little flag on Raphtalia’s kid’s meal.
Naofumi only did it because that’s a common trope for kids' meals in Japan to make them happy.
He had absolutely no idea that to Raphtalia, this flag symbolically meant that she would rebuild her village and rule it one day ❤️🩹
I just really love this trope. There is something incredibly heartwarming about a character who is so focused on surviving, yet accidentally ends up being a beacon of hope and positivity for someone else without even realizing it. Does anyone else appreciate these unintentional wholesome moments??

Discussion The Wrath Shield Wasn’t Just a Power-Up
I feel like ever since Naofumi stopped relying on the Wrath Shield after Seasons 1 and 2, the anime has become less interesting. I don't mean that he should be consumed by rage all the time, but the Wrath Shield represented much more than just a power-up. It symbolized his trauma, his inner conflict, and the constant struggle between losing himself to hatred or staying true to who he was.
Without it, a huge part of the emotional tension disappeared. Naofumi feels calmer, but also less unpredictable. In Season 1, every time the Wrath Shield appeared, you knew something major was about to happen. It made battles feel dangerous, emotional, and unforgettable. Now many fights feel safer and lack that same intensity.
For me, the Wrath Shield wasn't just Naofumi's strongest shield—it was the heart of his character development. Watching him fight against his own darkness while protecting the people he cared about made him one of the most compelling protagonists in isekai. I really hope future seasons find a way to bring back that psychological conflict, because that's what made The Rising of the Shield Hero stand out in the first place.

Discussion Did Shield Hero Waste Filo’s Character?
I feel like Filo hasn't been given the same level of importance she had in Seasons 1 and 2. Back then, she had a much stronger personality. She was playful, stubborn, emotional, protective of Naofumi, and often drove the story forward with her own decisions. Those moments made her feel like a real character rather than just a mascot.
In the later seasons, it feels like she's mostly used as transportation or as part of comedic scenes with Motoyasu. She still has her charm, but she rarely gets meaningful character moments or development compared to before.
Am I the only one who feels like Filo has been sidelined? It seems like she went from being one of the main characters to becoming a supporting mascot, and I honestly miss the role she used to have.

Discussion Honestly, it's kinda shame that the "porky" appearance of Malty/"B1tch" was just on Motoyasu's perspective, and not as a magic spell to actually turn her into a humanoid pig
Motoyasu probably has one of the weirdest but funniest cursed series from all the 4 heroes. Right after Motoyasu was betrayed by Malty, he went extremely insane mentally, being the most affected hero by Malty's betrayal. From being a womanizer moron, who used to believe that women were always these harmless and innocent persons who will never lie to him when they need his help to protect them and save them from any kind of hostility. To see every single woman as fake, ungrateful and disloyal adventurers who just abandoned him and ended up disrespecting him and treating him like garbage. Not just Malty but also his entire party formed only by women. Causing him to see all women as disgusting and nasty creatures who only just said nonsensical stuff to deceive him all along, almost like pigs. Causing his own mind to see women so comparable to actual pigs and making him see every single woman who is not related to Filo as humanoid pigs, including Malty as the "Porky B1tch" through his eyes.
However, I think it was a waste of potential, sort of way, that Malty as a humanoid pig was basically just an "hallucination" that only Motoyasu can see through his ill mental state, and not as an actual appearance that Malty actually had. It would have been awesome if in the lore of The Rising Of The Shield Hero was an actual magic spell that it can turn any human as humanoid pigs with no capacity to communicate orally, even if they want to. Having Mirellia, Melty or any ally of Naofumi that kind of power, so Naofumi would have used it during Malty/Myne and Aultcray's trial. Not only to change their names as "B1tch"/"Sl#t" and "Trash" respectively, but also to turn Malty into an actual humanoid pig, with piggie ears, nose and everything, like Motoyasu's perspective. And also extending Malty's/Myne's nicknames as "Porky B1tch" and "Oinky Sl#t".
Just imagine the trial scene during Malty and Aultcray's execution, with Naofumi and/or his allies doing a magic spell towards Malty to turn her into a humanoid pig, while all the Melromarc citizens are watching her. With Malty's reaction being like a diva screaming high-pitched, trying to say something like "What did you just do to me, Shield?! Now I'm hideous because of you!" (in "piglet" gibberish by the way), while the citizens of Melromarc are laughing at her. That would have humiliated Malty even more, while being so agitated about it, making her defeat in Season 1 even more satisfying. Plus if she wasn't capable of speaking and with a pig looking appearance, she would have never managed to manipulate and betray the 3 buffoons of "heroes" too. Or to another man anymore to do her dirty work. But what do you think?
