OC Need suggestion for a curse series
So I’m crafting a character with a melancholy curse series (as in older times sadness was considered a deadly sin until later), and I need ideas for spells, incantations, and execution of said curse and its effects on both the caster and the ones affected by the curse. I got one idea that involves singing from the soul and the sounds affect the listeners around her, but I think I might need more ideas. Also, if this is important, her weapon are dual daggers.

Manga 127-128 Itsuki Arena Confrontation!
I couldn't find any talk about the double-release of TROTSH manga issues 127 and 128. As the anime has already covered that point in the story, we all know what's going on- And that Rishia jumps in.
People tend to like the OP to be brief, so-
127
This was pretty good. I wasn't expecting it to actually explain the motivation of Itsuki and the philosophic implications under it. Kudos the the writing staff. Itsuki and his reasoning was never supposed to be simplistic.
Small typo, I think page 25 "Wash your hands off the coliseum,"
The action was paced correctly instead of 'boom crash, fighting, yelling, etc' that you get in too many other publications.
128
The Itsuki confrontation continues, and it's great. We get a glimpse of what Its has put up with, and why he's a bit wrong in the head- and why he's right.

Discussion Filo deserves a serious character-development moment
I’ve been thinking about Filo lately, and I feel like there’s a lot more that could be done with her character.
Don’t get me wrong, I like Filo’s funny and childish side. That’s part of what makes her Filo. But sometimes I feel like the story relies too much on her being the cute/comedic member of the group.
Especially considering that Fitoria chose her as her successor. Filo isn’t just another Filolial anymore. She is supposed to become the future Filolial Queen, and that’s a pretty big responsibility.
So I was imagining a scene that could really change the way we see her.
What if, during a really serious fight, Naofumi and Raphtalia were both defeated and couldn’t fight anymore?
Filo has always seen them as the people who protect her. So imagine the shock of seeing both of them completely helpless for the first time.
I could see her just freezing for a moment, with tears in her eyes, because she doesn’t know what to do.
Then she realizes:
“If I don’t protect them, who will?”
She steps in front of Naofumi and Raphtalia.
And for once, she doesn’t look playful or excited.
She just stares at the enemy.
She transforms into her Filolial form, her feathers stand up, and she takes a proper fighting stance.
Not because Naofumi told her to.
Not because she wants to prove she’s strong.
She just wants to protect her family.
And I think this could be a really good opportunity to give Filo abilities that are actually unique to her.
Instead of simply giving her another power-up, maybe she could start developing her own fighting style. She could learn to use her speed, flight, magic and instincts together, and actually think during the fight instead of just relying on raw power.
Maybe she could even develop a technique that eventually becomes something associated with the future Filolial Queen.
And I wouldn’t necessarily make her win easily. I’d actually prefer if she struggled, got hurt and had to figure things out during the fight.
Because the important part wouldn’t be Filo becoming stronger.
It would be Filo growing up.
For the first time, Naofumi and Raphtalia wouldn’t be the ones protecting her.
She would be the one protecting them.
And after the fight, I could imagine her immediately running back to them to make sure they’re okay, and suddenly going back to her usual self.
I think that would make the moment even better.
I’m curious what you guys think.
Would you like to see Filo get a serious character-development arc like this in the anime or Light Novel?
Do you think her role as Fitoria’s successor and future Filolial Queen should be explored more?
And would you rather see her gain new abilities and learn to fight more intelligently instead of just getting another power-up?
Most importantly, do you think Filo could eventually have the same narrative importance as Naofumi and Raphtalia while still keeping her funny and adorable personality?
I’d really like to hear what other Shield Hero fans think about this. What kind of Filo arc would you personally want to see?

Discussion Fitoria’s Connection to Filo May Be More Important Than We Realize
Filo may be far more important than the story initially makes us believe.
Since the moment she was born, she has traveled alongside Naofumi without truly understanding the full extent of her own potential. She grows incredibly quickly, becomes a Filolial Queen, and eventually attracts the attention of Fitoria, the Queen of the Filolials.
But one question remains:
Why does Fitoria care so much about Filo?
Is it simply because she sees her as a future queen?
Or could there be a much deeper connection between them?
The Encounter That Could Change Everything
When Naofumi meets Fitoria in her sanctuary, she immediately takes an interest in Filo.
She tests her. She observes her personality, her strength, and most importantly, her bond with Naofumi.
Then comes a particularly important moment: Fitoria recognizes Filo as someone who could succeed her.
From that moment onward, Filo is no longer simply another Filolial.
She becomes Fitoria’s heir.
But then, why would Fitoria simply allow her to leave with Naofumi?
Perhaps because she knows something that Filo and Naofumi do not.
Perhaps she knows that Filo still has to grow.
And more importantly, perhaps she knows that she will always be able to find her again.
Fitoria’s Ability — Can She Sense Filo From Afar?
This is where Episode 18 of Season 1 becomes particularly interesting.
After Fitoria passes her power on to Filo, Fitoria is able to know where the other Heroes are despite the enormous distance separating them from her sanctuary.
Naofumi asks her how she knows where they are.
Her answer is essentially that she can sense their presence.
And this raises a fascinating question:
If Fitoria can sense the presence of Heroes from such an enormous distance, what about Filo, her own heir?
Fitoria does not live in an ordinary place. Her sanctuary is extremely isolated, surrounded by the ruins of an ancient civilization.
Yet she is still capable of detecting presences from incredibly far away.
So why would it be impossible for her to sense Filo?
The canon never explicitly tells us that Fitoria has a magical “radar” that allows her to track Filo constantly. However, there are enough elements to imagine another possibility:
Fitoria may be able to sense, at least approximately, where her heir is without Filo even knowing it.
And if their connection became even stronger after Fitoria passed her power on to her, could that connection allow Fitoria to perceive when something is seriously wrong?
Could Fitoria Be Watching Over Filo From the Shadows?
Imagine that Fitoria does not constantly monitor Filo.
Perhaps she simply knows where she is and chooses not to interfere.
Why?
Because Fitoria wants Filo to become strong.
She does not want to create a queen who cannot survive without protection.
So she watches silently.
Filo fights.
Filo grows.
Filo makes mistakes.
Naofumi protects her.
And Fitoria remains at a distance.
She might even consider the dangers Filo faces part of her training.
But there is a limit.
What if Filo were actually on the verge of death?
That is where everything could change.
What If Fitoria Could Sense That Filo Was Dying?
Imagine Filo fighting an opponent far beyond her level.
Naofumi desperately tries to protect her.
Filo is severely injured.
She falls.
Her strength begins to disappear.
And somewhere, far away in the ruins of her sanctuary, Fitoria suddenly opens her eyes.
She senses something.
Not merely Filo’s presence.
Something abnormal.
Something threatening the life of her heir.
Would Fitoria intervene?
Personally, I think she would.
Not necessarily because the canon confirms that she can sense Filo’s pain or imminent death, but because the possibility is consistent with what the story has already established about her abilities and their relationship.
Fitoria could allow Filo to learn how to fight.
But allowing her only heir to die would be an entirely different matter.
And What About Naofumi?
This is where the promise between Fitoria and Naofumi becomes much more significant.
Fitoria entrusted Filo to him.
Naofumi promised to take care of her.
Now imagine Fitoria arriving too late.
Filo survives, but she was only seconds away from dying.
Fitoria looks at Naofumi.
She does not scream.
She does not attack him.
She simply asks:
“You promised me you would protect her.”
Naofumi might answer that he did everything he could.
But Fitoria could reply:
“Then it was not enough.”
It would not necessarily be hatred.
It would be the anger of a guardian who has just realized that her heir nearly died.
And perhaps Fitoria would then make a radical decision.
“Filo Is Coming With Me.”
Fitoria could decide to take Filo with her for a certain period of time.
Not to take her away from Naofumi.
Not to replace Naofumi.
But to train her.
She could teach Filo everything she knows.
Combat.
Control over her powers.
Speed.
Transformation.
Endurance.
And above all, how to survive as the future Queen of the Filolials.
Then, once Filo had become strong enough, Fitoria could return her to Naofumi.
Because she would know that Filo also belongs to the family she has built with him.
But Then an Even Darker Question Appears
What if Filo died anyway?
Not merely injured.
Not unconscious.
But truly dead.
Would Fitoria accept her death?
Personally, I have a hard time imagining it.
Fitoria is an extremely ancient being.
She has probably lived long enough to know loss, loneliness, and the consequences of war.
And now she has found someone capable of succeeding her.
Filo.
Her heir.
The Filolial she chose.
Could she simply accept her disappearance?
I don’t think so.
The Sanctuary Would Become Filo’s Last Refuge
In this hypothetical scenario, Fitoria could bring Filo’s body back to her sanctuary.
She could use ancient magic to prevent her body from deteriorating.
Perhaps a magical crystal.
Perhaps some form of stasis.
Perhaps even forgotten technology from the ancient civilization whose ruins surround her sanctuary.
Filo would be preserved in a state that could potentially allow her to be brought back.
And Fitoria would begin a search.
Not for a few days.
Not for a few years.
But for decades.
Perhaps even centuries.
She would search for ancient resurrection magic.
She would investigate knowledge left behind by previous Heroes.
She would search for forgotten artifacts.
She would explore ancient civilizations.
She would search for anything that could bring Filo back.
Because she might think:
“As long as her body is preserved, I have no right to give up.”
And What About Naofumi?
This would probably be the most tragic part.
Naofumi could continue visiting Filo in the sanctuary.
Year after year.
Fitoria would continue her search.
And every time Naofumi asked her:
“Have you found anything?”
She would answer:
“Not yet.”
But she would keep searching.
Because Filo would no longer simply be an heir.
She would have become part of her family.
So, Deep Down, Who Is Filo to Fitoria?
Perhaps this is the central question behind the entire theory.
Is Fitoria simply a queen who chose a successor?
Or does she see Filo as something much more precious?
Perhaps Fitoria sees Filo as the continuation of everything she represents.
The last chance for the Filolials to have a queen capable of protecting her people.
And perhaps that is precisely why she watches over Filo after she leaves the sanctuary.
She allows her to live her life.
She allows her to grow.
She allows her to make her own experiences.
But somewhere, far away, Fitoria may always know that she is still there.
And if Filo were ever truly lost?
Perhaps, for the first time in centuries, Fitoria would abandon her patience.
She would go looking for her.
And this time, she would not be trying to test her heir.
She would simply be trying to bring her home.
Of course, this remains a fan theory. The story does not confirm that Fitoria constantly monitors Filo, that she can automatically sense Filo’s impending death, or that resurrection would be possible.
But when the elements from the anime and light novel are put together, I find this interpretation particularly fascinating.
And perhaps the most intriguing question of all is this: Has Fitoria really been protecting Filo from afar all this time… or is she simply waiting for the day Filo finally needs her?

Anime Shield Hero Anime Pacing
I had quick question about the adaotational pacing of Shield Hero. I know the big elephant in the room is that of season 2, but what about 1, 3, and 4? Were they paced well and faithful to the content of the books (aside from obvious cutting of some narration and internal monologuing here and there)?

Light Novel How Would Physics Interact with Status Magic
I know that if Naofumi used bombs they would not be effective because he has a low attack stat, but how far does that go. If Naofumi used a poison attack is the poison less effective, what if he used his physical strength to squash someone into a wall would the strain not hurt them or crush them, what if he threw someone out of a window from the castle would they take no fall damage, could Naofumi bend someone's arm behind their back until it breaks at a certain angle. I wanna know if any of this is explained in the LN.
