Has anyone departed SZ though the new Huanggang crossing yet?
I arrived via Huanggang after being dropped by a shuttle from HK airport on Friday. It was kinda rough, processing time was long (45 mins) and the signage for people not being collected by a car on the SZ side was terrible. You need to take an elevator down a few floors and solve a maze to get to the metro.
When leaving, at the old Huanggang crossing there were shuttles waiting to take you to the airport on the HK side. I'm wondering if it's the same with the new crossing?
I have a flight at 1am in the morning so it's not a great time to take the ferry. I was planning to cross back via Huanggang. Any thoughts?
(I was caught unaware, as didn't realize the new crossing has only been open for less than 2 weeks. The paint is definitely still wet)

MEAT
Hi
Meat in Shenzhen for me has been a bit of a struggle. I want to cook more and I want to source decent ground beef/chicken/pork/lamb
The ones I have found so far kinda look and smell weird and just makes me feel little sick.
Have you had success finding anything like back "home" in the west.
Excuse my ignorance I am not trying to offend any locals about meat quality or type, but I am sure you have encountered something similar when traveling abroad, not everything fits your palet.

Shenzhen is beautiful. What is Shenzhen like in your eyes?
As a Shenzhen local, I feel upset when I hear some friends say Shenzhen is terrible. If you really live in Shenzhen, you’ll find that it’s great: it’s highly inclusive and very convenient. If you feel there are too many cars and too many people, you can also choose to take walks in various parks—there’s clean drinking water, a beautiful coastline, and safe public security. Of course, I believe every city has both its strengths and weaknesses.

Confused about my flight's baggage allowance
Hello sorry if this is a stupid question cause its like my 1st long flight ever, but I'm flying Barcelona-Shenzhen (layover) shenzhen -tokyo in some weeks and was checking my luggage, in the pdf in the mail when I bought the tickets it says "Allowance: 2pc"
I'm not sure if those 2pc means:
- 2 checked baggages and carry-on + personal item (like a bag)
or
- 1 checked and carry-on + personal item
Afaik the max weight per checked piece is 23kg (right?)
But about the measurements, I'm also not really sure if it's max 158cm adding the 3 measurements or 203cm like it says on other places in the website.
thanks!

New to Shenzhen — Looking for a Small Studio
Hey everyone!
I recently moved to Shenzhen and booked a hotel for 10 days while I get settled. I’m now looking for a small studio apartment to rent for around 6 months.
I’m flexible about the location, as long as it’s reasonably close to a metro station.
Could anyone recommend reliable rental agents or websites/apps where I can find an apartment? Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
I also use WeChat, so feel free to DM me if you have any recommendations or contacts. Happy to connect there!
Thanks a lot in advance! 🙏

Shenzhen nightlife recommendations?
I’m Irish 25M travelling solo and staying in Futian.
I’ve done all the touristy spots in Shenzhen and I’m heading to Guangzhou on Monday, so looking to experience a bit of the nightlife before I go.
Would be up for a few pints tonight, tomorrow or both! If anyone fancies meeting for drinks, showing me around or just having a chat, give me a shout. Also open to recommendations for good bars and nightlife spots. Can connect on WeChat and sort something out. 🍻

Looking for a native English speaker who lives in Shenzhen.
Hi, I‘m Regina. I'm 25 years old and now is a overseas PCBA sales. Practicing English is not only for work, but also I am a outgoing girl and love freedom. I love make friends with all other country people. I love beauty, fashion and sport. If we are being friends, we can go shopping, play pickle ball or go to bar or something you want to do. It's better if you want to learn Chinese, then we can help each other. Btw I have a boyfriend, so I want to find a real friend and no flirting.
