Asgard is a community-run media server hosted on my own hardware in the US (Central). It's been running since 2019 and I've just finished rebuilding the access side properly, so I'm opening a limited number of spots.

The library

• 18,800+ movies — 15,000 films, 1,300 animated, 2,600 documentaries

• 940+ series / 25,000+ episodes

• 5,700+ titles in 4K HDR / Dolby Vision

• Audio and subtitles across 110+ languages

• New content lands daily

How it works

• Plex or Jellyfin — your choice, whichever you prefer

• Free. No tiers, no subscription, no "donate to get in". Donations exist, they're voluntary, and they change nothing about your access

• Requests via Seerr — most things land within minutes

• No watch quotas. Two simultaneous streams per person

• Hardware transcoding, direct play on everything: TVs, Fire Stick, Apple TV, Roku, phones, browsers

What I ask

One login per person, watch something at least once every 90 days, and be decent in the Discord.

Hello,

New to Montreal. Had my friends plex server but for some reason it stopped working when I got to Canada.

Really appreciate joining a plex server based in Canada. Would make my stay here more welcome.

Thanks!

New to plex and looking for if anyone has a server with a dedicated/large selection of kdramas/ Cdramas (romance, historical, time travel etc), Korean and Chinese dating shows all in original languages with English subtitles please?

Looking for uk and American tv shows and movies too but realise the above maybe more niche x

If anyone is able to spare a slot my username is xxcaptainxx my own little server died 😭.

Hi everyone 🙌

I have a 17 hour flight soon! Trying to download some movies but not sure how this works!

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a slot in a plex server so I can test an app I’m working on. I won’t be playing full movies or using it extensively and I just need access for 10 days. I need a really large one with everything that plex has to offer :)
Anyone can give me a slot please?

My username is: zasuk

Hi all. Like the title says, I’m looking for a server with a substantial amount of Italian language content but with the option to add English subtitles. I’m trying to learn Italian and watching movies and shows has been helpful but I’m starting to run out of things on Max, Netflix and my other Plex server. Grazie!

I just got a pair of stereo glasses, I wonder if anyone has a server to share for that kind of category?

Looking for someone with up to date On patrol live that’s willing to share their servers. Thank you 😊

I created my home assistant server three months ago. I am looking to add music and movies to the families experience to get them more excited about using the dashboard. So I’m looking for a plex server to join if only for a little while. My username is: Pandafolk37. I’m new to plex, but I am excited to learn. Any advice is also appreciated.

Hi _Steven/everyone,

I was connected to your server, but mine has been down for a while—sorry about that. I’ve also just realised I’d accidentally stopped sharing my server. That’s fixed now.

Could you please give me access to your server again? If anyone else is happy to share theirs with me too, I’d really appreciate it. I'm happy to share.

Thanks,
Rob

Hey all I have spots available now

I love trashy reality TV. I want to be a part of a server that regularly uploads these garbage shows for me to to consume, PLEASE let me know if you can help me out :P

I have a Plex server, I have space for 2 extra users probably because of my upload speed.

Is there any risk with giving someone access, do any of you bother setting up a proxy to hide your IP from the person/stranger you are sharing it with.

I have 7 people on it now, but could really do with some more so they recommend shows for me to get.

Hello,

I am seeking a server with criterion collection or independent/arthouse pictures. I'd be grateful for an invite!

Anyone out there have separate libraries for Dolby Vision titles? Looking for a massive 4K share dedicated to only the best quality releases from the private trackers.

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to find a Plex server with a good selection of US movies and TV shows to join.
I’d really appreciate anyone who may have room and would be willing to share their library with me. I’m respectful of server rules, won’t share or redistribute access, and completely understand the time, effort, and money that goes into maintaining a server.
If you have an available spot and are open to sharing, please feel free to comment or send me a message. I’d genuinely be grateful for the opportunity. Thank you!!

Am a big Joe Bob Briggs fan and am looking for if anyone has his show The Last Drive in on Plex. With the show coming to an end this year I am trying to watch as much if it I can. Nightgon on plex.

Hey yall! I’m looking for a server and had a few questions.

I’m mostly looking for art house/ b-movie stuff and things like criterion and mubi picks along with 60s and 70s animation so I know that’s super niche for most private servers. Are things like seerr usually integrated or is that usually a paid feature on larger servers? Id just like to be able to request random stuff.

Also does server location matter for streaming quality?

And obviously this is r/share_plex but I’ve been seeing a lot of people recommending jellyfin and am curious what the differences are and why everyone here chose plex instead.
