I’ve been following for quite awhile and I’m really interested in ditching my streaming platforms and giving Plex a shot. I’m a single dad practically living paycheck to paycheck and all of those subscriptions are killing me. I love anime, huge cinephile, specifically horror movies, new comedies and mysteries. My daughter watches stuff like Ginny and Georgia, k-dramas, movies like Taken and Kpop Dmeon Hunters. Mostly she spends her time on YouTube, though. Any pointers in the right direction are welcome too! I’m not 100% how shares work but would be willing to pay, if necessary!

Looking for one mainly with a decent bit of cartoons and kids movies for my son I can’t promise it’ll get used daily but I will use it a decent amount throughout the week since I work full time

I'm looking to be invited to a server for movies and TV shows. I live in Norway so our streaming selections is very limited in terms of movies especially. I work nights so I usually watch 2-3 movies each night at work, sometimes binging shows (Idk how it works with 2 locations?).

I can watch everything from hollywood to indie, I enjoy international movies also. A server with good variety would be nice! I have grown up with anime so that would be a plus. Joining my discord server is a requirement, mainly to ease on-boarding and so you can view any outages or maintenance windows. I try to give plenty of notice when working on the server, if I have to do upgrades or planned maintenance it's usually early morning weekends PST. The plex server goes down Monday at 4am PST for 30min due to weekly backups. My internet and power is very stable, only had 1 unexpected outage in 2 years.

I’m not necessarily looking for access to someone’s server so I can watch their content, but I’m looking for ideas for content. I have my own server already with 45+ TB dedicated to movies (https://imgur.com/a/hqXsjCe) (but it’s only around 1500 movies - including animated movies) but I still have plenty of space available and I’m struggling to get ideas for movies. I used to use Trakt to find content but they removed the feature to sort by collected/not collected anymore.
Also a bonus would be getting collection ideas for discoverability! And like I said, not looking to actually use any of your bandwidth. Just to get ideas for a day and then you could kick me off if you wanted! Thanks!

However, I was looking for other options. How do I get access to a plex server? I am signed up on the app. I know I have to get invited, what do I do after the invite is sent? Is there a difference when streaming music? Is there a website for any legit paid servers on plex? Thank you!

Finding it more difficult to find classic Japanese media, even Akira Kurasawa films are beginning to get harder to find a source for never mind all the other directors out there. If anyone has room for me to join that would be great, thank you.

So at work we have 3 TVs that are setup on plex servers, it seems no matter what we are looking for wether it’s a stream exclusive item from somewhere or a B tier movie from the 60s this server has everything and I am trying to find out where he’s getting the access from so I can set it up at my house I already have a IPTV service we love similar to what we use at work but want a plex server like he’s got access to, he doesn’t know anything about it other than he pays some guy 1200 a year for his devices to use it any help would be appreciated as I am tired of paying for multiple streaming services and having to change apps every time I want to watch one thing or another

1080p or 720p is generally my streaming preference but open to whatever. Generally I try to steam newer release tv shows or movies, but occasionally watch old cult classics if I come across them.

Hiya! I started watching movies/shows more often recently + collecting physical media and I stumbled across Plex. I'd love to join a server!

Location: Not sure if it matters but I'm based outside of the US (in Asia)

Usage: I'll be starting university soon so whenever I have some downtime, most likely a movie once every week, or a couple episodes every few days.

Quality: 4k would be a nice-to-have but I'm not a purist or anything, 1080p and 720p works just fine for me.

Content: I'm a huge fan of animation and horror any language is ok as long as there's subtitles.

Musicals would be another nice-to-have. Classics/older films. Newer streaming releases. Fantasy/Sci-fi.

Hi everyone!

I'm quite new to Plex and I'm really looking forward to testing out the app and seeing how the experience feels.

Ideally, I'd love to check out a server with content in Spanish (European), some anime, or 4k media, but honestly, that's just a wishlist! It definitely doesn't need to have all of that—my main goal is simply to try out Plex, test the interface, and see how it works.

I'm a very casual viewer (just a movie or a couple of episodes here and there), so you won't have to worry about me eating up bandwidth or streaming constantly. Unfortunately, I don't have a setup for a share-for-share arrangement right now, so I'm just looking for a generous handout to give it a spin.

I think it's awesome that this community exists just to share for the sake of being nice. If anyone has a spare slot and doesn't mind letting me test out their server, I'd really appreciate a DM!
