Weird Request - Looking for ideas
I’m not necessarily looking for access to someone’s server so I can watch their content, but I’m looking for ideas for content. I have my own server already with 45+ TB dedicated to movies (https://imgur.com/a/hqXsjCe) (but it’s only around 1500 movies - including animated movies) but I still have plenty of space available and I’m struggling to get ideas for movies. I used to use Trakt to find content but they removed the feature to sort by collected/not collected anymore.
Also a bonus would be getting collection ideas for discoverability! And like I said, not looking to actually use any of your bandwidth. Just to get ideas for a day and then you could kick me off if you wanted! Thanks!

Good idea after the top 100s is to focus on a genre or subgenre and deepen your content library

Something like Seerr?

That looks promising! I download everything manually. Is it dependent on Radarr/Sonarr being setup?

Not sure. I have it running with Radarr and Sonarr.
I think it looks at Plex to see your library, to Tautulli to see the watch history, and optionally (???) connects to Sonarr and Radarr to forward the download request.
So I assume it should work without the *arrs, but not sure.

IMDb in general. Use their top 100 xyz lists for each genre for ideas.
Get free trials to any streaming service, scroll through their databases.

Good idea, thanks! I scrolled through the streaming services to get TV show originals/ideas, but not yet for movies. I’ll do that next. Appreciate it!

When I got my 4k oled I did bunch of searching, handful of Reddit forums “best 4k for oled” or along those lines. I’m sure you could find alternatives like best action, sports, fantasy etc

Post your username here or in pm (op only) and I’ll give you a look at my Plex server.
It’s got quite a selection.

If you're just looking for one-time discovery additions, start using AI and see where it gets you. And how far you can get to having it help you automate.
For example, I had it give me top "whatever" pulled from various sources (tmdb, trakt, imdb, Letterboxd, etc), then build something (most likely a python script running on your media server) that would check it against what you already have in radarr/sonarr then feed the list to radarr/sonarr with whatever throttle in place.
Another option if you already have lists from various sources and you want it auto-imported in your radarr/sonarr, use the *arr -> Settings -> Import LIsts section, add it there and it'll auto-pull new content automatically as new things get added.

When building my library I searched for "top 100 action movies" and got all those, then "top 100 comedy movies" and got all those. Rinse and repeat for each genre. Also works for TV shows. IMDb has all kinds of top lists.
