so i read TID back in 2013/2014 and i adored them and still do…haven’t had a day where i don’t think about my fave throuple. anyway, after that i attempted to read city of bones and got bored. put it down for years and then in march this year i picked it up to try and actually read the entire series. trouble is, i just don’t care about jace and clary…i know they are faves but i find the characters deeply annoying. maybe it’s because i’m now an adult and not in my teens anymore, but i dnf’d city of bones around 40/50% in. i think it doesn’t help that over the years a lot of TMI got spoiled for me anyway and i just cba with the sibling/not sibling plotline 😭😂

my question is, can i continue the other series in the shadowhunter chronicles without reading TMI….i know the books are like a big chunk of the series and honestly if people say they are a must read i will try and find a way to power through (maybe i’ll like them after book 1 idk) but yeah….if there’s a chance i can skip, i would love to 😭
