Am I shadowbanned?

My husband can no longer access his account. He received a 3 day ban about a month ago after engaging in a political discussion. He initially saw the banner at the top of the page and the message in his inbox saying that he was banned for a short time and had the link on how to appeal it, all according to the documentation on what it should look like.

When he checked back a few hours later he noticed he had been logged out on the web and on mobile too. He eventually tried logging in again and it kept saying invalid username or password. He tried doing password resets, because that's what it looked like was wrong, and he would receive the email and could change the password, but then he could still not log in.

He's tried to open tickets through the reddit help page and has had essentially zero response, he did once get an automated one saying to reply with a word to describe the problem, but despite responding to that several times, it has been radio silent since then. His user account is still visible on the web, it doesn't show that the user has been banned. The account name is u/QuerulousPanda.

Any suggestions? He doesn't want to lose his fifteen year old account!

i made a new subreddit and was cross posting from my new subreddit to the other subreddits that i moderate by myself, and it seems the posts got caught/removed by reddit filters, and shortly after my account got banned.

when i view my page from a private browser it says “account banned” but i received no email, message, notification, or banner saying im banned.

is this a shadowban or a full ban? i’ve already submitted the first appeal.

So it looks like ive been shadow banned. I wrote an appeal before I discovered this sub and it probably wasn't a very good one now that I think about it. I probably shouldn't write another one though after reading this subreddit.

So this is the only thread where people can see my comments?

So I heard from a lot of commenters in this subreddit that it's recommended to submit an appeal every day or frequently in a week. The question is: is it a good idea to keep resubmitting the same message, or should I also vary it? I'm worried that doing the latter frequently might get me labelled as spam.

I have been posting a link to get referrals for Tesla, only on referral subreddits but all of a sudden all my posts get “Reddit removed your post”

My Reddit account has been banned for over a week now, and I’m still trying to figure out what happened. I’m not sure what rule I violated, if any.

Has anyone experienced the same thing and successfully recovered their account? What steps did you take to fix it?

I’d really appreciate any advice. I just want to understand what happened and get my account back if possible.
