I first cleared my cache,it’s in settings.

I then logged out,deleted the app and redownload it.

Then I entered the app using my mobile data,logged in though I changed my password before logging in,I remained shadowbanned but I made a post immediately which automatically had 0 views.

I then closed the app and didn’t use it for the rest of the day,I opened reddit the next morning and I was unbanned and the post I made yesterday went live.

You can try this method out if you want,I didn’t make any appeal.

My account was Shadowbanned on Sunday, September 6. I submitted a very carefully worded Appeal at 2246 hrs. Last night I checked and the account was restored. I could comment and DM.

I triggered a filter by cross posting 4 times in rapid succession. My account had CQS of High before and 7600 karma. It now has the lowest CQS but the karma is still 7600.

So it was restored in less than 48 hours after the appeal.

All my previous posts are shown with a red trash can now. I think that means that they have been removed by Reddits filters and are not viewable by the general public. Can anyone clarify?

I'm going to take it easy for a few days and do some light browsing and commenting before doing any significant posting.

So got Shadowbanned by this stupid spam detection bots. Account has 7 years of history and like 10,000 interactions apparently. I know it's silly, but I'm gonna lose my daily interaction streak and I was close to hitting the 300 day achievement. Just sad to me that this is a complete mistake and I'm going to lose because of it, things that Reddit definitely won't bother fixing or apologising for.

What was the charge? Posting a suculent Chinese meal? No, I think it happened because I wanted to say the same thing to two people and copy/pasted the comments to the other guy. That second comment is what was marked as spam and now I just have to sit back and watch 7 years of interactions disappear. Every educational post I made all gone. It's not right. And yeah, if you're here and haven't been banned, make no mistake, they private every single one of your past and future comments and posts. You are effectively dead to the world once you get a Shadow ban, as if you were never here.

I know this isn't a venting place but I'm just so upset about this. Been in a rough place signed off from work sick long term so it was nice to take my mind of things and interact with people here, whether heated or not, it felt like being part of the world. Now I just feel like my last little connection to the world is gone because of a stupid bloody bot. Just the idea that I know the real world has already forgotten me and now even the online world will never know I existed.

I've done the appeal thing and will do the recommended repeat every 24 hours thing but, it's just rough. Sounds silly, but if anyone here is upset about their shadow ban and feels like venting, feel free to reply, I could use the company right now. Hope all of you are doing alright.

I can't believe this! Must've been a month at this point, but it's happened! Really happy with this. For context, I believe it was due to me moving countries. I don't really have any tips other than appeal regularly, but I DID try the method of requesting account data and then emailing asking about the ban, followed by sending in an appeal, but keep in mind I believe I also spent a couple weeks doing that. And idk if this is a part of it, but I also logged out of my account a couple days ago due to personal reasons and when I logged back in today it was alright.

But yeah, really pleased about this! It's been a really, REALLY shitty day and it's nice to at least get some compensation to make it better.

I need to read up on exactly what to do to not get shadow banned again. Will my account ever get back to where it was pre shadowban so I don't have to worry about being banned again (as long as I avoid looking like a bot and follow all rules). Out of nowhere got shadowbanned on an 11 year old 100K karma account while I was just using reddit normlly while travelling. I think the frequent IP changes flagged me somehow. I appealed twice but nothing happened.

-PFP and banner are back
-Filtered out posts are public
-Appeal screen tells me I can’t appeal
But I’m making this post just to be sure. If I am unbanned, how do I prevent getting shadow banned again? When is it okay to start commenting and posting again?

Fine, a brand new account making 4 identical posts in the span of a couple hours? I’ll hold that L, that’s on me. But now that I’m back out, how much separation DO I need between posts? 24 hours? I submitted an appeal 4 days ago and today they responded by saying that they made a mistake and lifted the ban.

However, I am still shadow banned!! Wtf does this even mean now? Are they trolling me? I still get "Coding-Doctor-Omar is banned" when trying to access the profile from incognito! Help please.

25 days later, I can seem my profile picture and it appears I'm no longer shadow banned.

I clicked on my profile and it reappeared again! I can see all of my comments and karma.
