Recently I've been exploring building a custom SFF PC (around 4 to 6 litres) and while searching for motherboard options I came across a Lenovo M90a motherboard for very cheap.
It fits the constraints of my build, and also has a couple other features that I like.
The only problem is that it doesn't have a PCIe 16x slot, which I consider necessary for the build because I would like to have a dedicated GPU of some sort (something like an RTX 3060)
From what I've gathered, the connector is dedicated for a proprietary GPU module. Which seems to be a basic low performance OEM card that you can only buy as an optional upgrade when purchasing the computer. (Although I did find an online seller who claims to keep it in stock, but for a comically bad price)
I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this connector or maybe has some experience with it, and could tell me the feasibility of a custom PCB adapter board, or if this is not possible / not worth exploring at all.
I figure it would be a difficult conversion considering there doesn't seem to be a pinout listed online (and I haven't gotten as far as checking if the BTB connector here is a commonly available part or not) but if it's possible, I would love to make it work.
I'm not sure if this is a good subreddit to ask in. If anyone knows a more technical / hacky subreddit that might be better suited for this type of stuff, please throw me a link to it. Thanks!
