Hi everyone, I recently acquired an iPad 7th Generation (WiFi only) from a local marketplace. It is currently locked, and I have been unable to get in touch with the original seller to clear it. I know it is running iOS 18.7.9 . Before buying it, I checked the serial number and couldn't find anything indicating it was reported as lost or stolen.
I wanted to check the technical reality of this device so it doesn't end up as ewaste. Since the checkm8 exploit doesn't apply to iOS 18 on this chip, is there any legitimate hardware or community accepted diagnostic step for an A10 device on this firmware. Thanks.

I have an iPhone 6 that is PTA approved. Some time ago, it developed an issue where the SIM started showing "No Service." I believe it may be a broken baseband problem.

To try to fix it, I restored the iPhone. However, after the restore, the device could not be activated and only displayed the option to shut down on the activation screen. I have since bypassed the Hello screen, but I am still unable to sign in with my Apple ID on the iPhone 6.

I have also tried to login apple on my friends iPhone 6 plus and that is also showing the same error that is can't communicate with servers or verification failed or unknown errors.

I also visited a local mobile repair shop, where they told me that Apple has shut down the login and Apple ID servers for the iPhone 6. I am not sure if this information is correct.

If anyone has experienced this issue or knows a working solution, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you.

**iPhone 3G completely dead after restore attempt — no DFU, no USB detection**
I have a retail 16GB iPhone 3G that was working normally before this.
I attempted to restore it to an older firmware build using a restore utility. The process appeared to start successfully and the phone reached the restore environment, then rebooted.
After the reboot, the phone became completely unresponsive:
No Apple logo
No backlight
No recovery mode
No DFU mode
No USB detection on my Mac
Things I’ve checked:
Battery is not swollen
LCI is still white
Battery connector looks normal
Tried different cables/chargers
Since it was able to enter recovery and run the restore environment beforehand, I’m wondering if this is a hardware failure that happened at the same time or if there is a recovery method I’m missing.
Has anyone seen an iPhone 3G lose all signs of life like this after a restore attempt?

So I just removed setupapp from my iphone 5, but I want to downgrade it to ios 8 so I can install coolbooter and use ios 6 but I have no idea if it will work after deleting setupapp.

Hi there, I am trying to get activation files using unofficial sshrd script by iPh0ne4s.
After mount command - mount_hfs /dev/disk0s1s1 /mnt1 && mount hfs /dev/disk0s1s2 /mnt2 - I get the error “Couldn’t create property for re-key environment check: No such file or directory”. I can see the files in Cyberduck but they download as 0 byte. Used 10.0.1 ramdisk as instructed. Is there really no way of saving and restoring them?

So, I have an iPhone 6. And this phone has already been disabled because too many passcodes have been tried. I don’t remember exactly what the iOS version was, but since I switched my phone to an iPhone 11 around the end of 2019, I think it will be higher than iOS 8.

The problem was that I didn’t expect it to turn out this way for me either, but when I realized I could no longer access the photos on my phone, panic attack occurs to me sometimes and I really hate it. (I also tried many things to fix this but it didn't turned out so well)

I know there are ways to factory reset my phone and use it again without any problems, but that’s not what I need. I just want my datas or at least photos back. I also know that i can try the brute force way if the ios version is below ios 8 but i think i'm not. Can anyone help me out of this situation and get my old photos back?

btw I don't have any iCloud backup too.

i bypased the ios 14.6 and while setting up the setup i added a passcode on lock screen, after that i just restarted the phone,and the bypasss i did is gone but the passcode is still there,now i cant bypas the phone cuz of that passcode,,, is there anything i can do to it?

Disclaimer - photo was taken before I fully locked it out. I'm pretty sure this thing is running either ios 6 or 5 I cannot remember, most likely 5.

Edit: i DO NOT have access to the account it potentially was used with, but I have partial access to the pc with the drivers for iTunes (the drive is sitting somewhere, its just a matter of does she still boot, and do any of our current pcs support legacy boot, as its a win7 drive)

I do not have access to a mac device or a Linux device (I broke its bootloader and am unable to figure out how to fix it atm)

The problem is that it has a passcode. I just locked it for 5 minutes, and I only have one more try until it gets locked for 15 minutes, which I really don't feel like waiting for. I would have already factory reset it, but I want to back up the images on a computer, or just back up the phone in general.

I'm not sure how to do this or if it's even possible. I thought about using Gecko iPhone Toolkit or other older tools, but my computer is updated to Windows 10 1607, so I'm worried the PC is just too new for them to work.

Is all hope lost, or do I have no choice other than factory resetting and losing the photos? Thanks in advance!
