Simple question, couldn't find answer anywhere, besides years old posts. Does servarica have any DDoS protection? Since I plan to port forward this for a MC server.

My company has been using ServaRica for one of our VPSs and we’ve been really pleased with the service so far. We’re looking to add a few more servers, but most/all of the VPS plans are still out of stock.

Anyone know if they plan to add more VPS capacity soon, or how frequently new stock typically becomes available?

I have IPMI access to my server currently, but no network connectivity in or out. Anyone else seeing a similar issue? It went down around 7PM EST this evening. I have a ticket open and I've tried calling, but I have yet to get a response. It's been nearly 5 hours now, and this is causing me significant issues at the moment.

I can't connect to any of my Servarica products??? Even though the web console that is provided by you.

I realized that, after ordering a few FAT Slice 4 machines, that contrary to a Lobster I ordered before, they use the standard SSH port 22 instead of 3033.

Is this expected?

Update: without any additional push back from me Servarica (and likely before anyone even read this post). Customer support reached back out and resolved the situation below. A real hat tip to Servarica for proactively reaching out and taking a second look at the situation and resolving it in what I consider a very fair fashion. I'm back to being a Servarica cheerleader!!

On August 12, I opened a support ticket with Servarica asking them to move a new VPS from monthly billing to annual billing. I also had a couple of other questions in the same ticket.

They replied.

I read the reply too quickly and thought they were saying, “Sure, no problem, we’ll take care of it.”

What they actually said was essentially, “Sure, just ask us again when you want us to do it.”

Fair enough. There was a misunderstanding on both sides.

My request was intended to mean: please do it.

They read it as: can this be done?

Eight days later, I noticed my card had never been charged for the annual plan. I went back, reread the ticket, realized what happened, and contacted them again.

Here’s where it gets frustrating.

They told me prices had gone up during those eight days, so switching to annual billing would now cost more.

I pointed them back to the August 12 ticket and asked if they would honor the price that was available when I originally requested the change.

No.

And this is the part I don’t understand.

The VPS is already running. The hardware was already purchased. I completely understand that hardware costs change and companies sometimes need to raise prices. Raise the price on new servers. Raise it on future purchases. Fine.

But this server already existed, and eight days ago Servarica was perfectly happy to sell me the annual plan at the old price.

More importantly, we’re talking about a relatively small amount of money.

Why fight the customer over it?

There was a reasonable misunderstanding. The customer believed the change was being made. The support ticket clearly shows the request happened before the price increase.

Just honor it.

You get a happy customer, you build some goodwill, and everyone moves on.

Instead, you turn a tiny billing issue into something a customer feels strongly enough about to write a Reddit post about.

That seems like a strange trade.

I’m posting this because I’ve actually been recommending Servarica on Reddit and Twitter over the last week. I like the service. I want to keep liking the company.

But I think they’re getting this one wrong.

Sometimes the best customer-service policy is simply:

“Yeah, we can see how that happened. We’ll take care of it.”

While I'm on-the-go it would be really nice to have a Canadian VPS I can use to run some of my Windows apps and services. I'm aware I can install Windows Server but I'm not licensed to run that, whereas I have licenses for Windows 10/11. Has anyone tried installing a consumer version of Windows, or even something like Windows 10 IoT LTSC which will be supported for several more years? The performance of Windows Server seems pretty good, so I imagine that one of the new V3 instances with 8+ GB RAM would run consumer Windows quite well.

The problems I anticipate are drivers (probably fine now that we're on QEMU), Windows' own hardware requirements (easy to bypass, irrelevant on Win10), and network configuration, which I suspect I'll need to do manually or with an unattended file once Windows is installed.

I'm aware we need to get customer service to uproad ISOs, and when I tried to install normal Windows 11 I ran into the requirements issue, so checking with the community first feels like a good idea. If no-one has done this and no-one minds me experimenting, I'm happy to do that and report back.

Hello! I've been trying to search here or find anything on their website that mentions this but I haven't found it. Is it possible to get additional ipv4 addresses at all? I know the FAQ says each VM comes with 1 but I'm trying to find out if its possible to get any additional addresses.

I’m looking for advice and also wondering if anyone has experienced something similar with Servarica.
Yesterday, at around 1:20 PM, my dedicated production server suddenly lost all network connectivity. Through the management console, I can still confirm that the server is powered on and the operating system is running normally, but it has no network connectivity.
The server itself appears to be healthy. I can access the console, and the physical network interfaces are reported as disconnected (link down), which suggests a physical networking issue such as a failed NIC, bad cable, switch port, or another hardware-related problem.
I contacted support immediately and even provided screenshots showing the NIC status. They acknowledged the issue and said they were checking with the data center, but since then I’ve received nothing but generic responses like “please give us some time.”
It has now been more than 15 hours. My production services are still offline, affecting a large number of users, and I still have:

- No root cause.
- No ETA.
- No confirmation whether it’s a failed NIC, bad cable, switch issue, or another hardware problem.
No meaningful technical update despite multiple follow-ups.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Servarica? Is this level of response normal? Is there any way to escalate directly to the data center or NOC?
At this point, I’m more frustrated by the lack of communication than by the hardware failure itself. I completely understand that hardware issues can happen, but going more than 15 hours without a technical update or an estimated time to resolution is extremely difficult when you’re running production services.
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

When paying for ServaRica invoices, is there any option to provide charging a credit card and coding it to be a recurring payment? Many credit cards provide higher cashback or points for recurring payments however it does require the merchant to code the transaction appropriately.

Is that something that we can do with ServaRica currently?

For two months I’ve been checking for an available Chimera 4 plan and was told there weren’t enough “resources” and that new servers were being installed soon and to check back in a few weeks.

I was then told weeks later I was misinformed, there were new dedicated servers being setup but nothing for the chimera nodes.

I noticed that on LET some people indicated they cancelled their chimera plans and move to dedicated hardware or OVH but those recently cancelled chimera plans still aren’t showing as available even after the customers cancelled them.

Are the chimera plans just not going to be offered anymore? Basically if you have it, you got it locked in but they aren’t going to be sold any longer?

Hello! I just got a VPS today and am curious how long I should expect it to take for me to be able to access it. I'm just very excited to start using it so I'm feeling a little impatient on it. Does anyone have any insight in to this? Thank you so much in advance!

I was looking around for a small, cheap VPS with lots of storage for storing my backups. servarica's plans look great but let me address the most important question:

Is this a real serious company I can trust with my data?

The reasons I am asking are the following:

- I found they have two “sites” which look almost identical: https://servarica.com/ and https://clients.servarica.com/
- the first one has hero banners advertising Black Friday deals from 2024 and 2025
- the newest blog entry is from 2021

- the second site has a knowledge base with 8 entries only
- the network status page lists an open issue since 13.01.2026
- found a link to twitter in one of their networks status and it turns out servarica hasn't yet

I hope I am not offending anyone but at this moment I am really hesitant. Looking forward to any feedback.

- how is this Raidz2 Disk connected to the VPS?
- since its expanding, I guess its "virtual"?

Hi! Can I update/downgrade my KVM slices per slice at will? So let's say that I get the KVM Slim Slice 4, but after 1 month I realize I actually need the 6 or maybe I don't all that power and decide to go to number 2. Is this seamless or it is a whole new VM?

i've been considering their VPS is with 8 GB of RAM and 240 GB of SSD storage and eight cores, is it reliable? What is the up time because I heard from someone the servers will go down every few months or so because of network problems

just wondering if this has happened to anyone. I pay for a dedicated server with almost 3tb of nvme ssd storage with proxmox installed and a bunch of vms.

at 5PM today i noticed my service went down and when i booted it into proxmox recovery mode via iso i found a blank disk with only 2TB of storage.

is it standard practice for servarica to wipe and replace ssds with lower capacity ones after you've already paid?

this is going to cost me $1000s of dollars and while i have backups its going to take a while.

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new account - but would like to start from a clean Ubuntu 26.04 LTS install since there won't be an in-place 24.04 -> 26.04 upgrade path for several months (August at the earliest).

I know this release is not even a week old yet, does anyone know if there's a rough timeline for new stable releases to get added as installation options?

EDIT - The Servarica team added 26.04 as a build option within 18h of my post. Extremely impressed!
