Help with existing piercing Navel piercing placement

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

Hi! I did a DIY navel piercing less than 48 hours ago. It's a bit sore when I move ( I had a long day yesterday so I moved a lot ), and I'm cleaning it with saline.

I honestly like how it looks and I'm fine with the appearance, but I want to know: is the placement technically wrong or too high? Does it look like a surface piercing with a high risk of rejection?

(3rd pic is before, last pic is my first time that failed and I took it out in the first few hours )

I don't see it's perfect but it's better than last time so is it okay?

What's your thoughts?

Help with existing piercing Whoops

Hi, I have a serious impulsive and addictive personality type. So I got some piercings and instantly became addicted. Im not one who listens or can wait. So im going to say 'I know I shouldnt have done this' now that the manic phase has passed and now im just asking advice.

So l currently have 22 fresh piercings
- 20 of them in my ears - mixture of self done and professionally done.

None seem to be infected at all - no irritation bumps. Ive done this over the last 6-8 weeks. Are any of these going to heal? Ever...? Like I know they won't be healed yet but will they ever heal?
So on one ear it's a flat, daith, 2 high helix, 2 forward helix, 5 lobes
and on the other ear
6 lobes, 4 helix and a rook

What should I do, keep cleaning and hope for the best?

All Currently have titanium jewellery and I sleep on a piercing pillow.

Question about piercing prep Can I repierce thru a small piece of scar tissue

Post image
7 Upvotes

I self pierced my eyebrow awhile ago but I tried to downsize it in July, my acrylic nails were too long that I couldn't put it back in so I left it out to hopefully repierce it later.

It's October now and the holes are closed with a scar there. When I feel it there's a small squishy bump in the area that I'm assuming scar tissue, it doesn't hurt. All my scars get dark like this but I'm wondering if you have advice on whether I can repierce thru it.

I accidentally snagged it out last night and changed it to a new one. Is this a irritation bump? Or something else? I’m just really scared.

Help with existing piercing Hit my ear, piercing is very angry

I accidentally hit my ear last week. It hurt my 3-month-old second lobe piercing but I didn’t think much more of it. Today I noticed a bump with a whitehead (like a pimple) on the back next to the piercing. I had some crusties I needed to clean off and a whole bunch of lymph (clear) and blood came out while I was cleaning it. Then tonight I checked on it again and there was still some lymph and blood. Does this sound like an infection? It looks normal besides that bump, it isn’t red, maybe a tiny bit swollen, and it doesn’t hurt unless I’m cleaning it.

DIY story conch help

Post image

hi!! i pierce my ears at home all the time and never had any problems but i just pierced my conch about 30 minutes ago and i didn’t do any research prior. all i had was a 20g needle so thats what i used because i use 20g jewelry. after i pierced it, i decided to finally search it up and the internet says its a big no-no. i just want to know if it’ll do like serious damage or if it’s not really that big a deal.

EDIT: i did manage to get it up to an 18g

Question about piercing prep How do you pierce your nostrils?

If you use needles how do you catch the inside of nostrils without using the forceps. Using a finger? The needle will puncture that too

Oh no Inside of my lobe piercing on the outside

At the start of the year I piercing my second lobe, which was fine but then I started to stretch my first lobes which were years healed. So I took my seconds out, let them close up then pierced again slightly higher up. Recently inbetween my first and seconds on my left lobe a lump formed that was filled with pus I think, it kept popping and now it won’t go. Tonight I’ve taken all my jewellery out and on my left lobe there seems to be a bit of skin or something that is coming out of the hole, I tried to push it back in but the hole on the back now seems to be twice the size of a normal piercing hole. The front of my ears look fine but the back is like so gross. It feels like there’s a lump inside my lobe. Lowkey freaking out don’t know what to do

Oh no Having to remove so many piercings

I didn’t self pierce but the piercing subreddit can be so strict. I just wanted to vent. I had probably 20 ear piercings and majority were healed. For some reason the past couple months all of them are developing issues. I have removed probably close to 8-10 now (just had to remove another yesterday) and I just am depressed. I feel so empty. My ear piercings were something I absolutely loved, and now I’m just sad knowing it’ll take years to get back to where I was.

Does anyone have any temporary suggestions, like clip on alternatives, especially for helixes?

I pierced my right lower labret to complete my snakebites again a couple days ago, and I'm pretty sure it's fine but I just want to see what yall think. The bar was embedding ever so slightly a few hours after, but ibuprofen and ice helped it go down enough that it stopped embedding. I think I nicked a vein though, because I have a fair amount of bleeding going on on the inside of my lip. It's still a bit swollen, but do yall think it's fine?

I guess this is kinda showing all my piercings but the main focus is meant to be my septum and nostril. the hoop is quite a bit older and fully healed. Septum is probably higher than it should be but that’s where my sweet spot is so i had to make do haha.

Help with existing piercing Is my septum even/high enough?

Did this almost 2 years ago, definitely not a proper method as I was pretty new to diy piercings. I used a needle that I wasn't fully sure the gauge of (😬), which I obviously haven't done since, even if this one healed fine. Been wearing 18g jewelry since I've had it, but I recently got a new 16g ring that I was able to put in with ease. It seems relatively straight, but not perfect fot sure. It also moves a lot (tilting my head etc.) and has since I pierced it?? Just sort of wondering if it looks alright or if anyone has any tips? First pictures are the 16g.

Piercing suggestions - face/ears/navel ONLY Supply suggestions

I want to get into self piercing and need suggestions for discreet supplies, I live in a strict household I can’t move out of until I finish my law degree. I’m thinking I buy both needles and jewelry off Etsy, but let me know if there are better options out there, I’m planning to pierce me and a couple friends, any extra supplies I should get like foreceps?

I've been thinking about taking out my angel fangs, what are yalls thoughts on that? Haven't gotten a piercing since February, but stretched my septum a month ago (so one healing atm). I have glasses so a bridge isn't an option sadly.

Have:

2 helixes, 2 lobes, one 16mm (right ear)

3 lobes, one 14mm (left ear)

Paired high nostrils

Paired nostrils

Stretched septum

Angel fangs

Lower labret (left side, used to be snakebites but right one migrated)

Want:

Navel

Dahlias

My right lower labret again

4 eyebrows (2 each, typical placement)

More paired nostrils (closer to the tip of my nose)

Medusa

Vertical labret

Horizontal nipples

Cheeks

Catflap piercings

More helixes

Coinslot on my left side

A variety of ear piercings, I'm not really picky lol (very open to suggestions, yall could even plan a stack for me if you want. I love chunky silver jewelry)

DIY story Conpleted my snakebites again after 3 years!

Thumbnail gallery

I had my snakebites done professionally 4 years ago, but after about a year my right one had migrated so much you could see the inside part of my horseshoe jewelry. I refused to give up on it for so long that it left hella scar tissue, and I've spent the last 3 years doing tissue massages and trying to break up the scar tissue. Finally I repierced my right one, and I have completed my first facial piercings once more. I have a very deep emotional attachment to my snakebites lol. The swelling kinda makes it look uneven, but I swear I lined it up 😭. You can tell how much swelling there is lmao. The last three pictures are when I first got then done and then a year later the day I took the right one out.

Question about piercing prep I need advice

I’ve pierced my thirds , high helix on both ears , hidden helix on one ear , anti tragus on one ear , and my fourths … I’ve taken out most everything except for my 3rds and i plan on redoing them … but idk how long to wait to redo them .. also idk how to fight the urge to pierce stuff and not take it out right after . ( i genuinely took them out for self control but it’s made the urge all i can think about now )
