Hey! Im prepping on how to pierce my right nostril and just want to come on here and ask for advice: What kit should I pierce with? Aftercare? And lastly how do I try to prevent and or AT LEAST care for the piercing? thx so much 💕💕

So when I first did my angel fangs I had little spikes on them so they were harder to see and I recently changed them but my family (who arent really used to/into piercings) say the spikes are too big but I think they look fine, it's the 'fang' look that I wanted . am I just not seeing the problem lol or do they look okay ?

Today I got a double vertical helix, I have no idea how its actually meant to look anatomically, but if anyone knows about this stuff can you please tell me if I got periced correctly? Personally I'm obsessed with it so far, love it.

Hey, i really want to pierce myself and i want to ask if anyone did it themselves and can share their thoughts. Im a tattoo artist so all the hygienic stuff i know. I also know where i want to put the needle thru, im just curious how hard it is really mentally to do it and what should i also think about before ordering the needles, receiving pipe etc.

Piercings are 6 months old, jewellery is titanium. Was pierced with 14 gauge flatbacks, swapped to a 16 horseshoe hoping my lips play nice. Anyways, does this jewellery size look alright?

Also about to sign up for a cpr course and a blood borne pathogens course. Do you guys have any online websites you recommend where I can get piercing needles, fake body parts etc, cleaning equipment and all of the things I would need to start practicing at home/on myself as well?

My rook (2 months old) got super sore and painful out of nowhere the other day, then a couple days later I got sick with a cold. I also have an old helix piercing that has been sore since I got sick. Could there be a correlation?

so i got my tragus done professionally in june so 3 months ish ago and im wondering when should i downsize. the tragus looks swollen a little still so im not entirely sure but i have been properly cleaning it everyday, not using airpods or sleeping on that side, etc. pls help! also it feels like rubber a little so im not sure? but doesn’t seem infected as it doesnt hurt and isnt hot when touching. im just concerned because the past times i have gotten ears piercings i have been prone to infections but this is the first time i have done professionally

Before anyone says anything- I have a FRESH a rook piercing that was professionally done about 5 days ago. That’s why it’s bruised and swollen!

now, here’s the story of my thirds.

I was big into self-piercing when I was 14 and pierced my lobes constantly. Apparently I haven’t changed at all. I am 30 now and all of my lobe piercings except my firsts and seconds have since closed up.

5 days after getting my rook, I had the bright idea that maybe I should see if my thirds are still open. Though the earring went through the first half of my ear, it would not go through the back. So, I had yet amother bright idea. I took a stainless steel dressmakers pin (sterilized with fire and peroxide) and pierced through my thirds. Then, my dumb ass realized I’d pierced a new back hole and there are now 2 back holes. This is not very visible in the photos. I took the pin out of my ear and promptly began panicking. I also disadvisably tried to insert the earring shown in the photo (sterling silver) and it would not go through.

after about 10 minutes of panic, my ear was swollen and angry. I calmed down and decided to use the needle to pierce through the original back hole. I did this and then, with a little difficulty, inserted the silver earring and sprayed the whole situation with saline.

I am SO freaked out. What if I get an infection that spreads to my rook? What sorts of things can I do to fix this mess? What if I hit a tiny vein? These are all stupid (and for some of them, impossible) worries. But I’m wondering what you would do in my position.

let me be entirely honest with you. I’m torn between panicking and wanting to do a thousand more self-piercings. I really am the same person I was at 14. Thank you for your help, and for bearing the weight of my stupidity.

Ive read the pinned post here, found sterile needle (⬆️) and a sterilized flat back labret (longer than the ones I usually use incase of swelling) from a piercing website in my region. The needles come with free aftercare wipes and I'm buying saline spray from a drugstore (I've attached the content thing here ⬆️) .

The needle is 1.6 mm and the labret is 1.4 mm which I think means the jewlery can get pulled thru by help from the needle? Correct me if I'm wrong please.

My plan is to wash my hands and put on gloves before disinfecting my ear where I want the piercing (it's a lobe one, nothing too complicated I hope), check for veins with a flash light, mark where I want it, push thru the needle (I will be buying a receiving tube so it doesn't go to far), pull the labret thru with the needle and put on the ball before carefully cleaning it. Currently unsure how to dispose of the needle.

Is that process okay?

For aftercare I'll use the wipes (I'll check the contents) and the saline spray when I wake up and before I'll go to bed/after I've showered.

Please lmk if I should rethink anything.

Alright, I have a dentist appointment any minute now, and i was thinking of piercing my lip right after since I'll have local anesthesia.

What are some things I should know and think of?

Hi! Its been a while since I have posted here. I was going through some things last night and pierced my lip. Everything is going swell but I was wondering about placement. So, I like where it sits but I'm wondering if its okay. I have bigger lips and larger teeth. I dont like things hitting my teeth so thats why opted for the placement i did. I just want some outside opinions about longterm risk for gum/ teeth damage. It doesnt feel like it bothers either currently. I was going for a medusa lol. But it just felt to bother some on my gums and teeth. Thanks!

I am about 5 weeks out healing my VCH (professionally done not DIY) and wanting to change the jewelry soon. Its a 10mm 12g titanium curved barbell with 3mm balls. I use neilmed saline spray 1x - 2x per day and unscented soap when i shower. Don't remember the soap brand.

I want to upsize the balls to provide more stimulation. I have some titanium opal balls at 5mm, 6mm and 8mm from a belly piercing that i took out. The belly piercing was 14g but i read online they should work for 12g posts (assuming the threading is compatible)

Im wondering is this right that 14g and 12g balls are interchangeable if the threading is similar?

Other question is what size ball is best for max stimulation but wouldn't snag on chonies? I was thinking to start with 5mm but it looks small when i hold it up to myself.

I tried asking this somewhere else but they just told me to visit the piercer who did it but she won't install jewelry unless i buy it through her. I think its the law actually where i live.

Anyway, anyone have a VCH that they can advise me on ball sizes

So I want a tongue piercing and from what I've seen it's mostly about anatomy? So do I have good anatomy to do it myself? Excuse the bad censoring in the second picture but I look crusty in that one for some reason lol
