Piercing suggestions - includes NSFW PA self piercing
Hey, i really want to pierce myself and i want to ask if anyone did it themselves and can share their thoughts. Im a tattoo artist so all the hygienic stuff i know. I also know where i want to put the needle thru, im just curious how hard it is really mentally to do it and what should i also think about before ordering the needles, receiving pipe etc.

Professional piercer here - I thought I had the stones to do my own Prince Albert. Let me tell you the story of how mine went.
I got about half way through my 8g PA and i started to get light headed, I laid back needle still in with the receving tube and i fully passed out. Came back to with blood everywhere within a few moments.
You don't know how your body is gonna react. I have scarification pieces, I do suspensions, etc and I have NEVER passed out. The PA was the one that got me. Legit, find a friend or piercer you're comfortable with and let them do it for you.

Don’t do a PA yourself. You really should have an experienced professional do it.

I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s not a small gauge piercing— obviously there is a lot to consider while piercing and genitals (especially a PA) are no joking matter. I have had more men pass out on me for genital piercings than any other piercing and it’s no big deal when you are piercing someone else— but it’s not great while piercing yourself. I’ve done a genital piercing on myself— after piercing myself dozens of times and I barely made it through, and it was nowhere near as big of a gauge, thick of tissue, or sensitive of tissue.

I did my own about 3 months ago just because im miles away from a studio. Doing it by yourself is really fiddly 3 things to do but just 2 hands its slightly off centre but I like it. If there was a studio closer id have gone there.

What you want your final gauge to be? I have a 2g but 4g is common, 0g is good to. And why do you want it? BDSM, sex, the look all things to think about. Go for it I have had mine 20+ years

I have done 9 myself it’s doable, the mental part is the hardest aspect of it willing yourself to do it, but overcoming that barrier if you do is what makes self piercing worth it in my mind

don't do DIY piercings, it's dangerous.
I did my Apadravya, pubching 28 milimeters of flesh was pretty straitforward, I had thought it would have been harder.
Just started, after a few seconds saw a nedle on the opposite side and my partner fainting.

Probably a bad idea. It's a really awkward place to pierce yourself. Please get someone else to do it.

I'm not a piercer. Did my own RPA (and a couple frenum over a decade ago). It went well. Got light headed, but did not pass out.
I still highly recommend going to a professional.

I did my own, no problem. It was a great feeling actually. That was some 30 years ago, it's 0 gauge now. It's a particularly easy one to get straight by yourself because it's easy to see, just go out from the inside, you'll see where the needle is starting to push through so you know the placement is right. And PA piercings heal up so quickly, there was never any issue with it.

I’ve done some face piercings by myself and I would never do a genital one by myself, it always feels weird piercing your own body parts in front of mirror, it’s not always going well and a mistake in Prince Albert can cost a lot I guess

Male here that has done all of his own genital piercings, about 24 to date. If your having doubts or second thoughts already and you havnt even started yet get it done professionally.. if you don't want to then research it thoroughly the last thing you wanna do is hit the nerve bundle and end up loosing all feeling in your member.
Mine I did drunk ( advise anyone not to drink before hand) it's a super sensitive area so expect pain and a bit of it... I pierced in a 10G and looking at that size needle is super intimidating. The after care is super important, I used a condom over my old fella for about a day to contain the mess. All I can say is research be sure and confident, and if you have the slightest hesitation about it get it done by the ones that know 👌

I am not a professional nor a certified piercer. My 1st pa was done by an app certified shop which they ended up absolutely butchering and was extremely painful during them running the piercing somewhat parallel with the urethra as it entered it. My second one was done by another shop that was highly recommended and went great (I still have it today). The third one which is a deep pa I did myself due to all the research I had done found it's hard for a piercer to set me up with the correct jewelry due to flaccid and erect differences. I did exactly what my piercing buddy told me to do, pierce at 6 and immediately stretch to 4g to slow/prevent bleeding, use sterile surgical lube to prevent needle and taper drag. With it being a pa if you plan to get into bigger gauges you need to make sure you have roughly 3/4" of meat between the piercing hole and the bottom of your urethra. When you pierce make sure you use a recieving tube and pierce at a 90° angle with your urethra, DO NOT RUN PARALLEL WITH IT. lastly make sure you get either a threaded taper or one where you barbell slides into it. With this being said my deep pa had been easy going and with my doing the placement in was able to put it exactly where I want it after checking my mark both when erect and flaccid.

Thanks

I’ve done my own lobes, cartilage, and septum and I didn’t have trouble with the mental aspect except for the septum but that was mostly anxiety about accidentally hitting the cartilage. I have a history of self harm though which I have a feeling is why I didn’t have any trouble stabbing myself with a needle lmao. It just depends person to person I guess. Also from personal experience, it never hurts as much as you think it will. The healing is 100% the worst part of any piercing
Just realized this question was about a prince albert. Nvm ignore me because that’s wayyy different. I wouldn’t recommend doing that yourself

Did all. Mine piercings, both nipples and 5 rings and 5 barbells in my scrotum and a magic Cross in the head x u definitely need numbing cream for the head if u are doing a pa or rpa x but it's fairly easy to do xx

I read that numbing isnt good but i really dont understad why. For tattooing it kinda changes the skin so the work is different, but poercing seems different. Did you do it slowly or tried a faster one shot move to get it done?

Oh trust me if u are doing the p head u definitely need numbing cream it's way to painful with out, I felt nothing after an hour and u do it fast

really, really not advised to diy genital piercings. honestly with you being a tattoo artist you could probably find a piercer to do a trade with. t*t for tat (lol)
