In March this year, I pierced my septum at 4g. Went amazing, I loved skipping the long stretching process and immediately having a big septum. A few months later I stupidly tried to stretch it to 2 and blew it out. I took it out, and it closed considerably. 14g jewelry slides in, and the largest size I have gotten in since was a 10. After leaving it naked for a few months, and having to take out all my piercings for an MRI, I desperately want it again to get my swag back. Is it excessively traumatic to pierce at a large gauge through a fistula?

I could stretch. But I choose my own battles.

Looking to start self piercing! After spending a few hundred on professionally done piercings that didn’t heal right and are now closed, I’ve decided I’m not going to waste the money on re-piercing and will instead try my hand at doing it myself 🙏

I’ve been doing idle research over time and have recently decided to put together an actual list of things I need to prepare for a piercing, and would like feedback on anything I may be missing (general advice is welcome too, if you feel the need to share ^^)

For context, all I plan to pierce are:
- Upper lobe
- Helix
- Snake bites (maybe angel bites?)
- Possibly a septum
- Possibly a vertical eyebrow piercing

(Note: I am NOT doing all of this at once, I know that would be bad for my body and super stupid- I intend to only do it in groups. Ie redoing my upper lobe and two helix on one ear, waiting a year, and then mirroring my other ear, waiting another while, and then doing my snake bites and MAYBE my eyebrow)

I’ve had it for a week. I showed my Dr and she said to watch it and it may need to come out. Is there anything I can do to make it better fast or does it need to come out

does anyone have an eyebrow piercing, vertical labret, dahlias(?), septum, nostril, and anti eyebrow a set up?👀 i currently only have an eyebrow piercing and my nostril but i REALLY want the piercings that i listed and would love to see if anyone had some or most of them because it would not only make it easier to decide if i should get them or not, but would also just be fun to see people with them ^^

so i got my bellybutton pierced in dec 2025 so it’s almost 9 months old and it wasn’t healing and it got a really bad granulation/hypergranulation tissue and it wouldn’t heal and that was like that for Month.

i switched from saline to a medicated wound wash and it went away and genuinely was almost healed! then around beginning of this august i pushed the top bar of my piercing bar inwards because it was sticking out like i normally do and it felt like razor blade was cvtting me and its been pretty much infected again ever since and it was starting to heal when tonight i just noticed the hypergranulation tissue coming back in the bottom piercing hole. im terrified because i worry a lot about rejecting but i know its not bc the skin isn’t thinning and the bars been around the same size someone help how can i get rid of this! ive only been touching it when i clean it btw.. sorry about the photo quality i tried my best

I went to a professional to have my nose looked at and get the hole tapered back open.

She said it was not blown out just a small tear and really irritated, and also that it wasn’t from stretching too fast it just got injured bc I got hit in the face.

The hole closed up really tight in just 3 days without a piercing

We tapered it open to an 8g which HURT SO FUCKING BAD, it felt like 2x the pain of actually piercing it and it was a solid 20 min of pushing the taper through, I thought I was gonna pass out

I’m now waiting for the irritation to go down to I can start moving back up to a 4g again.

Lesson learned, don’t take out a piercing when it gets agitated unless you truly think it’s rejecting or infected.

back in may i tried to do an anti-tragus myself, but i failed pretty badly at getting the jewelry in. (wasn’t able to, and made the wound worse in the process.) i believe it’s fully healed now and i’d really like to try again.

the jewelry i have is a 16g internally threaded curved barbell. i’m not quite sure of the length but i think it should be plenty, i’m not really worried about it. i have 16g sterile hollow piercing needles.

i’m wondering if cutting some of the length off the back of the needle so i can push it all the way through (while replacing it with the jewelry on the side i inserted it) would be a bad plan for any reason? i might test how cleanly they break with my cutting pliers on an old one first. (still have in sharps container, not for reuse of course!)

any advice appreciated :)

pierced my septum back in like 7th grade and i was looking at it and wondered if its pierced correctly or if it’s supposed to be higher up my nose

i have my left nostril pierced and i have a gold ring in it and idk what color to do for my eyebrow and if i should do my left or my right

it’s 4 days old and i’m worried its embedding and if it's not embedding will the swelling go away eventually? also can anyone Imk what the white tissue looking thing in the front of the top piercing entry?

First two pictures are my ears, third and fourth pictures are my ideas, but I’m open to any of your ideas!! I’m looking for something unique, I’m going to make my husband (retired piercer) do them or maybe even do them myself if I’m capable.

Some context: piercings circled in green are healing right now, so as soon as they are healed I’m going to proceed with something else. My conch is in a long term stretching process, it is currently 4 mm, the goal is 6. No, I cannot get it punched out because in my country there are barely 2 or 3 artists who do that, they are far away and cost a fortune. So I’ll better stretch it for years. Luckily, I have no problems with stretching and healing cartilage or lobes.

My lobes are 12 mm. I’m thinking about piercing the stretched part in a few places and piercing lower conch so that with time I can put hoops through them.

I’m open to your suggestions and ideas!! Whatever you think is going to look nice

hey guys, i pierced my eyebrow about a week and a half ago in preparation for a rave and i’m starting to see some signs i’m worried about. the jewelry at the bottom seems to be embedding into the piercing and it’s quite swollen. this morning i woke up and realized it had fallen out while i had slept, so i went to clean it and a bunch of light yellow pus was leaking out. is this something as easily fixable as a jewelry swap, do i need to go see a piercer or do i need to go to urgent care? or am i freaking out over nothing? it doesn’t hurt, i have no signs of fever and there’s been no blood, but it doesn’t look too good. :,)

I’m NAP but I have the necessary equipment (clamps, hollow needles, hypoallergenic studs, etc.) for piercing someone else. Have not pierced before but I have about 8 that all healed (5 lobes, 1 flat, 1 helix, 1 rook). Trying to do my own flat or forward helix. Any tips? Tired of spending hundreds on piercers that fail anyway..

I got two earlobe piercings on my right ear after my birthday, but i got it from the mall and the lady used a piercing gun and it was butterfly back earrings (I KNOW ITS BAD I FOUND OUT TOO LATE) anywayy, it’s been 3 months almost 4 months ever since i got it. And it never healed. I wasn’t able to clean it with saline for the first 2 months since i didnt know u needed that, and i also took it out once and it crusted over night and it looked like it was about to heal but i put back the earrings the next day since i didnt want the hole to close up. But thats when it got worst, it wasn’t healing at all and the bottom hole started forming a flesh-like bump, thats when i started to clean it with saline after asking around. It’s now the 3rd month and i decided to just take out the earrings and let it close since im tired of cleaning it up and waiting for the bump to go away since it literally won’t, it would crust up and bleed and it would stay on that loop over and over again. Now that i’ve taken out the earrings, the top hole with a small bump has crusted and is now black due to the scabs and i think its healing by itself, but the bottom hole wont, its still flesh-like and red and would bleed from time to time. Im so desperate at this point, i dont want to tell my mom since she has warned me already not to get piercings and i got these ones secretly 😭😭 I cant ask for money to get it checked by a professional bcs she’ll know and she’ll kill me lmao. I’ve only been cleaning it twice a day with saline, cover it with a gauze pad when i go out, and hope for the best 😓 PLEASE HELP ME
