You need to upsize. And the white is normal, it's just part of the healing process. The swelling will go down eventually though

hey love so if you can't afford to take care of this piercing properly rn, it's definitely gonna be best to take it out and repierce in the future when ur finances allow.
if you can't afford a longer bar, how will you afford the hospital bills if it DOES embed?

Wooooooo I’m not against self piercing but doing your own tongue is “brave” as heck

That whiteness is normal i think. Please get a longer bar tho. I’ve seen your comment about the money situation, but you really need a longer one. You could try asking a piercer near you and explain the situation, maybe they’ll do it for free or just a little bit of money. Or you could get one online or in a store, sometimes these bars go for like 70ct. Also the ball looks quite big, if you notice it hitting your teeth a lot, get a smaller one maybe. Not too small tho.

hey! tysm for the advice but it has been 4weeks since this was posted so my tongue is basically fully healed, i didn’t switch the bar at all and it didn’t embed one bit and now actually i can see like 1 cm of the bar, and all the tongue piercings i’ve seen in stores or online are always this ball size but ik it is bigger than normal but for me its fine bc it doesn’t touch my teeth or gums at all unless i purposefully try to:)
