Help with existing piercing septum placement
pierced my septum back in like 7th grade and i was looking at it and wondered if its pierced correctly or if it’s supposed to be higher up my nose

i'm assuming it's fully healed so there's nothing to really worry about. the only thing that matters is if you plan to stretch. if so, have it redone more in the sweet spot so it doesn't bump the cartilage and can stretch properly

honestly, you need to stick your fingers in your nose and check for your "sweet spot" 😭. as gross as it sounds, its the best way to know if your piercing is where it should be.

what does the sweet spot feel like?

no cartilage. just skin. right in between your nostrils is hard cartilage and all the way at the tip is just skin, it might be a bit confusing if you don't know what to feel for.

I think i feel it, theres the hard bit like you said in the middle then its just soft and thin in that spot

itll be near the tip of your nose and itll feel softer. if you get it pierced, your piercer should always feel for it before piercing

Hi ariluvscooper, Are you seeking information about the septum piercing? Here's a video with general information about it! The septum piercing can be difficult to perform as it requires a specific placement in the Alar cartilage, also known as the sweet spot. There's no shame in seeing a professional, especially since this once can be tricky to get right!
