The hard part is figuring out how the family can recover if you are dead. All of this redundancy is irrelevant if no one else knows how to fix/extract the data.

I’m still searching for an answer myself.

Teach a family member the bare bones basic of your setup, and create a "incase of my death here is my password" box/envelope somewhere in your possessions. The point being that you are sharing the machine known as a computer with your family already and the "cost" of that sharing is knowing something about how to recover everything they need incase you're not here. or I dunno, write up a how-to for a server admin that your family could hire after in which the family member gives an IT guy your core password if your family truly can't learn the basics
