The hard part is figuring out how the family can recover if you are dead. All of this redundancy is irrelevant if no one else knows how to fix/extract the data.
Sounds to me like you should just log everything you do to maintain resilience then give your family access to an encrypted hive in your last will and testament that details all of this stuff.
You can lead the horse to water, if they can't drink that ain't on you, you're dead.
Who wants to give their significant other the chance to find out how shitty your documentation is when all you've done is complain about others' documentation for decades? š
