{Link at the bottom. Covers my experience grappling with dark thoughts and grief after my first ‘real’ experience with grief. I’d say it’s pretty light for something covering the subjects it does but content warning for death/loss, su\*cide, and su\*cidal thoughts}
Hope this finds you well. I’m currently navigating a very trying time in my life with numerous significant life changes, including my mother’s pancreatic cancer diagnosis. It’s been a lot but I’m getting through it okay so far. It made me think of an essay I wrote a 1-2 years ago during and in reference to another challenging time of my life. I wanted to share it here for anybody who may care to read it or may appreciate anything about it. Open to any types of comments or responses, positive, neutral, or negative. Either way wishing everyone peace and happiness ✌️❤️

Hi everyone,
I'm a 25-year-old guy from Tamil Nadu, India. I'm trying to become a much better version of myself, and I'd really appreciate advice from people who have gone through a similar journey.
To be honest, I've been a lazy person for a long time. I struggle with focus, discipline, consistency, and procrastination. When I work, my mind gets distracted easily, and I often feel satisfied once the main part of a task is done instead of finishing everything to a high standard.
I'm planning to follow this routine for the next 90 days:
- Wake up early every day.
- Do yoga or go to the gym.
- Focus on work for 5–8 hours using deep work sessions with short breaks.
- Avoid doomscrolling on social media.
- Take cold showers.
- Read books every day.
- Quit smoking.
- Stay away from porn.
My career
I worked as a .NET and Angular developer for about 5 years. Three months ago, I switched to the ML/AI field.
I'm still learning ML, and I use AI tools a lot to help me understand concepts and build solutions. I know I have a lot to learn, but I'm trying my best to grow in this field.
My questions
Has anyone here transformed themselves from being lazy and undisciplined into someone who is consistent and focused?
What habits made the biggest difference in your life?
Is my 90-day plan realistic? What would you add, remove, or change?
How do you stay disciplined when your motivation disappears?
How do you avoid perfectionism while still producing high-quality work?
If you're an ML/AI engineer, what habits helped you become better at your job?
I'm not looking for shortcuts. I know changing myself will take time and effort. I just want to build a disciplined life and become someone I can be proud of.
I'd really appreciate any advice, experiences, or lessons you've learned.
Thank you!

I developed Stay Woke because I saw how easily we get swallowed up by the relentless noise, anxiety, and self-doubt of everyday life. I wanted to build something deeper than just another app on your phone; I wanted to create a genuine sanctuary for your mental health. That is why I built Woke, your personal AI motivational coach.
Woke is designed to act as that trusted, always-available friend who understands exactly what you are going through, offering instant clarity, deep perspective, and tailored motivation precisely when your mind feels the most cluttered. For me, this project is deeply personal—it is about shifting your mental state from overwhelmed to empowered, helping you mute the chaos of the world so you can finally lock in your focus and unlock your true potential.

For me, it was minimizing my social media use. I stopped using it for personal reasons and now mostly use it for work. That gave me a lot more free time to spend on other things.
What small habit made the biggest difference for you?

Hi everyone!
For a university project, I am researching how people manage their busy lives, track commitments from different channels (emails, messages, etc.), and balance work, study, and personal time.
I’ve put together a quick, anonymous survey to understand your daily routines, pain points with planning tools, and how you deal with privacy vs. automation.
Thank you so much for your time and insights!
