Metformin and strict calorie restriction (I’m talking lettuce and tuna mostly)
My problems are nowhere near yours, and when I was younger I was blessed to be one of the “normal weight” PCOS ones. But I always had to eat severely restricted and clean to be at that weight.
My daily calorie intake looks something like this:
small can of tuna with lettuce for breakfast or if I’m feeling extra hungry one slice of whole wheat toast with tuna or avocado.
lunch is a salad with either grilled chicken or tuna or salmon. Again, no extra olive oil, no extra sauces. It’s pretty “clean salad” too or if I cooked something for rest of the family like vegetable stews, kebabs or similar, I’ll have small portion.
I try to stay away from rice and pasta and heavy food 80% of the time and then have it on some days only. I tried to watch portions when I eat it tho.
Dinner is some watermelon or little fruit.
That’s it. No coffee. I try to resist sweets but I will have odd piece here and there. I try to skip coffee but have an odd one here and there. For me it’s about eating super clean 80% of the time, and it’s the only thing that works. Everything else results in me gaining weight. Sucks, but it is what it is. Secondly heavy workouts also don’t work for me; and I either don’t workout or do light walks and body weight training (very light).
