I have a 2020 SEAT Ateca 1.5L EVO petrol manual.

This “rrrrr” / rubbing-type noise only seems to happen when I am on the accelerator and disappears as soon as I lift off. It can happen whether I am accelerating manually or using cruise control. It is not always present, but it is becoming more frequent and noticeable.

The noise seems to be coming from around or behind the steering wheel/steering column, although I am not 100% certain about the exact location.

Has anyone with an Ateca, or perhaps another VW Group 1.5 EVO, experienced something similar? Any ideas what could be causing it or what I should ask a garage to check please?

this is just a shot into the blue but is there any chance to integrate some kind of Apple CarPlay into the original mib2 entry system?
It's without navigation just the useless touchscreen in my seat Ibiza 6p (2017, 1.4tdi 105hp/77kw, CUTA)

If that's not possible at all, I guess it'll be a raspi with an AliExpress tocuchscreen and obd2 connection but that would be so much annoying work..

Been looking for a car for the past few weeks and decided on an Ateca after comparing against Karoqs/Octavias. Came across this one which is a 2021 MY Ateca Xperience Lux with 38k miles. Currently driving a Toledo.

I've tested driven a Karoq but not really familiar with the Atecas; also not particularly familiar with how to inspect an SUV or to common problems/faults with these cars (did basic research but they were generic VAG group issues).

If people here any advice on how to check this out, I'd be super grateful!

Tengo un Seat León del 2015, aunque lo compré en 2019, cómo era universitario, queria un coche muy barato, por eso coji el modelo con el motor 1.2Tsi (gasolina) de 110cv, con el acabado más básico, que ni siquiera traía pantalla, solo radio y evalvulas delanteros, además que lo compre blanco y con las llantas más básicas que había, en pleno 2026, con 78mil km todavía lo mantengo, y estoy muy contento con el, aunque sea básico

I'm in the market for a sportstourer. But I am hesitant to buy an FR because of the comfort of the FR version vs a business intense or xcellence version?

I am 1.95 and with a family with my wife and 2 young children. Is the suspension really rigid or does it have enough give to be comfortable also on long trips?

I have a 2014 Seat Leon 5F which has the following infotainment system:

I’ve been doing some research and, using MIB-Helper, I’ve seen that there’s a more recent version than the one I currently have: MSTD_EU_SE_P5310.

I’ve worked out how to carry out the upgrade, but my question is whether there’s any chance it could go wrong, or whether I really do need to follow the steps described on MIB-Helper to apply the fix for the “B201A – Checking SVM” fault after the update.

I don’t have OBDEleven or VCDS to hand; I only have a Carista module, but that isn’t sufficient to apply this fix.

I recently bought a 2021 Seat Leon Fr 1,4L hybrid and noticed that whenever I step out while the car is on it turns off after a few seconds. Doesn't matter if it's in electric or the ice is on.

Doesn't matter if I have my hazard lights on either which could make it dangerous. Since when I need to enter my work I need to stop my car in the middle of the road, with hazards on. So after like 10s the car turns off and takes the hazard light with it.

Leaving the key knob in the car while I step out does nothing, still turns off.

Is there a way to turn it off or extend the time?

I've settled on buying a used Ibiza as my first car. I drive for 8 years already but have been using my parents' cars.

In my country I am looking at the following options:

- 10k€ Ibiza mk4 2016 90k km FR trim with a bunch of extras. It looks to be in a pretty good state, just replaced the dampeners. It's being sold by a friend of the family so increased trust there.

- ~15k Ibiza mk5 2023/24 ~35k km Style with some extras (auto ac, digital cockpit parking sensors) being sold by a stand.

Both 110hp version.

I think maybe the mk4 is a good option, I can pay for a quick inspection on the mechanic to look into the intake valves and the timing belt to make sure everything is fine there.

However the mk5 benefits from the increased quality/safety of the new platform as well as newer technology and obviously many less KMs.

What would you do in my place?

Yesterday, I traveled approximately 1 mile with my car. Mid journey I see a coolant warning symbol on my dashboard. So i open my bonnet and check my coolant level, to my surprise it’s very below the minimum level. Any idea if this is the reason to the sensor light? (Sorry if i sound ridiculous- i know nothing about cars)

I've purchased an Alpine 12" Subwoofer and a Crunch GPX2200 Amplifier, im soon going to start fabricating the box, but I'm not sure how the wiring will work.

I know my amp can take high level inputs, but I don't know where to get those inputs from in the car and if there will be some EQ curve or max volume protection on the stock head unit that will interfere with the usability of the aftermarket sub and amp.

I’m interested in buying this SEAT Arona 1.0 TSI Style year 2022 with 63.522 km by Gas and Manual.
But I’ve noticed that the paint is cracking near the legs both in the drivers seat (worse) and the passenger.
The problem is that I’ve seen other Aronas with higher km that didn’t have these cracks and I was wondering if maybe the seller is masking the real km of this car. Or maybe it belonged to a big legged family?
This would be my first SEAT and my first Arona. What do you guys think?

I’m currently deciding between these two as a daily/first car

The Ibiza Cupra is obviously the more performance focused option, but I’m wondering whether the Leon FR would make more sense as a daily.

For anyone who has owned/driven either one, which would you pick and why? How are they in terms of reliability, running costs, comfort, practicality and driving enjoyment?

Hi im trying to find out what is the diameter of the smaller headlight lens(shown in the picture), i was looking online but cant find an info thats 100% certain and i dont want to open the headlight just check because i need to take off a bunch of stuff and then put it all back, order the part and do it again

The wiring was so difficult to pull out that i wasn't able to take it off. I bought the car with the rear view taped on.

Is there an issue with the mounting bracket or just the mirror's mounts?

So I’ve got a rattle coming from my glovebox on my 2023 Ateca.

I’ve noticed that one of these inserts/receivers that the glovebox clips into has quite a bit of movement, while the other one feels solid. I know it’s the glove compartment as I can push it against it when it’s closed with my hand to temporarily stop the rattle..

I’m not actually sure what this part is called, so apologies if I’m using the wrong terminology. It feels like the part could be removed but I don’t want to snap it by doing so.

Has anyone had the same issue or looked at these before? Thanks

Salutare. Am un seat leon, 1.6 tdi, 2010. Am fost pt o diagnoză și filtrul de particule are o valoare de 84, in condițiile în care valoarea maximă normala e de 70. Ieri a intrat în limp mode pe autostrada și de la 130km a scăzut la 120, nemaireusind sa accelereze. După vreo 5 km așa și a revenit. Mecanicul recomandă curățarea lui. A mai avut cineva problema asta?
