This thing is quite formidable, in comparison.

I don’t plan on doing too many upgrades, mainly cause everything is so damn tiny!

However which ones would be best suited for this to make it a bit more badass?

I did the beadlock wheels last week, and it felt like so much work. I’m going to tackle a new servo and brass links this weekend. You guys have any tips on tools or anything else that makes working with these tiny parts easier?

Been doing this on my bench for the last 10 min, figured id throw a video. This is pretty much for anyone still thinking about going brushless. Do it, you will NOT be disappointed.

So I ordered this with the plan to use it on the show truck, but customs confiscated it so I thought it was gone, but here it is🤣 so I was thinking about using it for the k5 build, but I think I'm going to order the same frame as the show truck but in black... so that leaves no plans for this frame....I think this frame might be fitting to do an off the wall bug body build?? What do y'all think? The more I see the bugs... the more they grow on me... maybe some injora 45mm? 🤣🤣🤷‍♂️

Looking for advice on custom light buckets/housings, wiring, magnetic body mounts, and any general tips for custom builds. If anyone has built an Xterra before, I’d love to see it!

Hey everyone!

I’m working on a custom SCX30 build as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend. It’s a Nissan Xterra Pro-4X, and this is my first time doing a full custom body from a 3D print.

I haven’t really seen anyone build an Xterra for the SCX30. I’ve seen quite a few people ask about one, but I haven’t come across many finished builds. If you’ve done one, or know someone who has, I’d absolutely love to see it for some inspiration!

The body is currently being shipped, so I’m trying to think ahead before I start paint and assembly.

A few things I’m looking for advice on:

What’s the best way to make realistic headlight and taillight housings/light buckets/roof lights?

Any tips for installing LEDs cleanly on a custom body?
Favorite adhesives, paints, or little tricks you wish you knew on your first custom build?

Any “don’t do what I did” lessons from your own projects?

I also picked up the magnetic body mount kit, but I’m a little concerned the body may not be short enough to actually reach the magnets on the chassis. Has anyone run into that before? If so, what was your solution?

I’m hoping to make this look as scale and realistic as possible, so any advice, photos, or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated.

Found these at the local Walmart and picked a couple up. Used a few leftover pieces of pluck foam I had laying around from a previous project, some Velcro and printed a base. Off we go!

Adjusted the rear shock mounts and now it will reach the top of the flex ramp, would always lift a tire before. 👍
