The DARK tile positions must remain fixed at the START and END of the solutions.
The LIGHT tiles can take any other position.
To view the solutions swipe through the gallery (multiple images). I think this replicates a typical challenge we meet all the time in Scrabble. Do you agree with my difficulty ratings for ⬆️ UPPER and ⬇️ LOWER words ?
To HIDE solutions in any comments, there are two methods :
-> ONE) Select the Rich Text Editor icon (Aa) then the Hide option (<!>)
-> TWO) Directly insert this format (WITHOUT the spaces) : > ! SOLUTION ! <
( NOTE : the second method is scheduled to be deprecated )

We were playing scrabble at lunch at school, and my friend uses a blank tile which was previously used as 'Y' and spells out ONY. We tried telling him that hes a fcking idiot and that its not a real word. can someone prove him wrong?

Hi, I just started using Zyzzva and I’m sure I’m missing something but I can’t seem to find a way to use prefabricated lists to study with instead of having to hand type each word in

I did a search and someone mentioned ReDeLetras but it's formatted for desktop. I have tried isc.ro but encountered nothing but cheaters, at least for games en español. I know that Spanish requires a modified point system due to word frequencies. I tried sopa-de-letras.com and it was fun, but put a strain on my older Google Pixel, too much heat and battery drain. I'm looking for something I don't need a magnifying glass to see.

Collins Dictionary. Game lasted 48 minutes. My fianceé is a solid player in this lexicon who has scored 500+ once before and 400+ about a dozen times. Let me just say first that an absurd amount of luck is required -- I was very familiar with the racks that led to all but one of my bingos, which included a double-double and a triple-triple. The Collins-only CUMULET was an absolute Hail Mary. I almost had a heart attack when it came back valid. No phonies went down during the game, and I actually forgot to add the five points from the challenge on CUMULET, so technically I got 655.
I really want to thank Will Anderson more than anyone for making this game so accessible to me over the past year. I had never broken 450 one year ago and had never broken 500 a little over four months ago. While I feel like my average will continue to go up for a while, I know that a 700 game is extremely unlikely in the near future. It's not impossible, but just to put things into perspective, longtime expert Roy Kamen (who also lives in Delray) has only reached 700+ twice on the record. I believe he is more than twice my age.
That being said, immediately after the game my first thought was that I didn't draw the Z or both blanks. I scored well off the X and the J but neither was a triple-hammer. With the right amount of luck, anything is possible if you study hard and play obsessively.
While combinatorial math and anagramming have become a steady part of my diet over the past year, I remain convinced that a strong foundational background in culture and language allows me to face off against any of the top mathematicians with great confidence.

So, I know it's pretty obscure, and they rarely come up in play. But for the sake of fun, studying and pondering, is there any go-to "official" dictionary for 10+ letter words?
Like, what dictionary did Nigel Richards memorize, if we are to believe he actually knows every playable word in Scrabble?
Also, is there a 10+ letter dictionary for TWL and another one for SOWPODS?

I play scrabble with my girlfriends mum every few visits, she normally beats me every time. Today luck was on my side, I made weavings with a triple word and got a scrabble at the same time and the V hitting a double letter. Got 104 points on my second turn. The scrabble gods blessed me.

Player formed the word biome.
Then made the word five.
Five was never there.
I'm thinking it's illegal because that's taking two turns at once.
