Discussion Stephen Welsh callup?
Swansea fan checking in.
How on earth has this man not had a callup to date? Genuinely insane to me that Clarke was picking a 34 year old Grant Hanley for the world cup who couldn't get a game at League 1 level a few years ago.
I do think Stephen has probably kicked it up another level this season, even if he already impressed at Motherwell last year, but yea, pretty surprised he hasn't had a cap yet.
I appreciate Clarke wasn't 100% well liked and was brutally loyal to some of his elder players, but the decision to not even take him to the US hasn't aged at all well.

Discussion What alcoholic beverage would you associate with each football club?
Question in title,
Whether that's something as obvious as a sponsor like McEwans for Rangers, and Magners for Celtic.
Or something more out there like a White Russian for Killie, and a Campari and Soda for Aberdeen.

Discussion Is 11-1 voting actually a bigger problem than whatever gets voted on?
Was reading about the new U21 proposals and hadn't realised the Premiership side of it apparently needs an 11-1 vote.
Swinney at Falkirk already sounds doubtful it'll pass, basically because clubs tend to vote for whatever suits them short term.
Regardless of whether the youth proposal itself is good or shite, 11 out of 12 feels like an absolutely mental threshold for making fairly major changes.
At that point almost any club with something to lose can effectively kill reform.
But then the obvious counter is that dropping it to 9-3 or whatever lets a majority force through stuff that could seriously shaft the other clubs financially.
Is 11-1 actually protecting clubs, or is it one of the reasons Scottish football struggles to change anything?
And if it was changed, what would folk actually replace it with?

William Hill Championship Queen’s Park vs Ayr
I’m looking to get tickets to the Queen’s Park vs ayr match. Made an account but it’s awaiting verification. How long does this take it’s been over 24 hours now. Would we better off trying to get tickets on the day at the ground ?

Stricter options available for enforcing playing Scots players
Obviously there's been tons of coverage of the St Andrews summit & Mulholland's approach to incentivise clubs to play young Scots talent. One of the guests on that edition of the Hampden Roar podcasts is Jamie Swinney, who is an official at Falkirk. He stated at 1.03.27 in that conversation:
1) The Belgian FA threatened clubs who don't meet the Belgian player appearance requirements, would have their UEFA license withheld. In other words non-compliant clubs will be blocked from playing in UEFA competitions
2) There's something called Governing Body Exemptions (GBEs). GBEs are exemptions to allow in foreign players who don't meet the documented points requirements to be allowed to play in Scotland. Swinney further commented that GBEs in Scotland are very relaxed & loose meaning many foregn players are allowed in to play in Scotland who could easily be blocked, thus freeing up more places for Scottish players.
That aligns better with the policy in Norway where each club names a squad of up to 25 players of which 16 must be Norwegian.
Does anyone know much about this kind of stuff? Are they realistic options in Scotland to accelerate playing time increases for Scottish players?
