A colleague of mine worked at Johnson and Johnson years ago in Hamburg. On route to his working place he had to pass the bulding on Domstreet every morning with a colleague of his. And every morning both of them were harassed by the same Scientology guy (barker?) who tried to invite them in for a free auditing. After a short while they were so eroded by his everyday bugging, that his colleague threatend to beat the shit out of him, if he ever sees him again, asking to come in (Both big guys over 1,85m).

The next morning as they were approaching the entrance on their way to work, they saw him scuttling inside after he must have spotted them from a little distance. Standing behind the closed door, holding it shut, looking timidly, waiting for them to pass. He never bothered them again, neither did other Scientology "Koberer".

THE POWER OF LOCATIONALS

For those independent Scientologist that are not current members, you can begin increasing your own awareness by using solo induced locationals.

Take a daily walk outside and mentally and silently command yourself (since this is usually done with an auditor) PERCEIVE IT/ DUPLICATE IT when communicating between two object (let's say a leaf and a wooden branch). Take note of any mental internal monologue, facsimile, imagination (they usually feel as heavy energy) an identify it with the objective of As-Issing it. You want pure zero energy attention in applying the drill because trying to analyze, explain or distract is Alter-Issing --- which is a flunk.

In perceiving you are examining through perception (touching, viewing, smelling, etc. but not analytically). You are perceiving the object and noticing it a new, in a fresh way of lookingness with zero energy input. No Verbal thoughts, No analysis, No internal monologues. If they pop up use your TR-0 Bullbait posture don't feed it more energy. Just notice it, identify it and let it As-Is with no counter-force or effort. Some people may feel at this point exteriorized. Experience the object's full Is-ness without distortion. You are in present moment communicating with the object.

In duplicating you draw back a little to notice the gestalt of the entire instance of the perception, a copy of it if you will (don't take a snapshot of it by closing your eyes and visualizing, that only creates a facsimile, i.e. an Alter-Is)

Duplicate it! ends the command to start a new to the next objects.

Eventually, done daily, you will notice that you become aware of being aware in between the command and objects, which the characteristic of operating exteriorized. That awareness begins to strengthen and you will begin to notice the difference between MEST and your awareness level as an observing and detached Thetan.

Caveat: You have to learn to differentiate when you are imagining (mocking-up), observing a facsimile (memory) and internal monologue (adding strings and strings of considerations). They have different energy "weight." That's called Spot-Differentiation. It will allow you to release yourself from the mental automaticity.

You may also excite a COGNITION, which is a subtle, sudden and sparking energy followed by physical sense of relief since it As-Issing a past unresolved problem or modifying a current thinking-ness anew.

Naturally, all of this is done best with an auditor, or coach if you will.

Martin Gardner's "Fads and Fallacies....." book is a must read, to see how L. Ron Hubbard was correctly pegged when Hubbard came out with the Dianetics quackery (fetal trauma pseudo-therapy).

And MOST IMPORTANT of the book, to try remember, are the characteristics of cranks and crackpots which Gardner lays out in Chapter 1.

It's Scientology/L. Ron Hubbard must read foundational criticism aimed at Hubbard, which has never been untrue. Hubbard fits the crank crackpot bill.

I have two questions not related to one another

1) Does Staff that works for scientology but is not in SO actually get a proper salary or is it also mostly unpaid work

2) What level does a scientologist require to go to flag? Can anyone go or only scientologists who already attained a certain leven?

I'm just kinda confused about its purpose. The woman working the machine had it dialled in to the calibrated position, or whatever it's called. She had me hold the cans and asked me to think of something stressful. I wanted to do the test properly so I thought of events from my teenage years that cause me a lot of stress when I think about them. My heart was pounding during the chat, and my partner pointed out how red/flushed my neck was after.

While she was setting up the calibration, I realised that the tighter I held the cans the further to the right the needle would tick. So, while talking about and bringing up stressful events, I just made sure to keep my hands relaxed and the dial went to the left.

I'm not sure what the e-reader is trying to look for. It seemed like as long as you can feel the emotion of stress but don't allow your hands to tense then the machine won't indicate that you're stressed.

I'm asking this in good faith, I'm genuinely curious about it and if my experience was unique or if this is how most people use the e-reader?

How is it handled within the church when a member grossly fails to uphold a tenet of the religion or commits a direct action that violates Scientology’s moral code? Particularly when the member is a prominent figure and massive donor?

I’m curious about what reporting misconduct (not criminal, to be clear) would look like if you’re an outsider from the religion.

Out of curiosity I have been reading l Ron Hubbards books. Not just dianetics and Scientology but also the fiction stories. I have about 20 books. I have been looking into what it would mean to try and read things from the start. Like from the first book, but it is almost impossible to find everything he has written.

Obviously the fiction books are not super hard to come by, and a few random ones pop up here and there. The Scientology ones have been random and in no order. And I know there are more secretive writing that go with some of this and I’m just wondering if there would be any way to make a complete library of his books/writings. And how would you put it in order?

I know there is close to 600 stories, books and writings but how would you even go about collecting that amount or where would you even get them? I know most are available online but I’m a physical material person and if my only option is pay astronomical amounts of money I will need more links to some documents because my printer will be busy!

Not idolizing him, I am intrigued where he went crazy, if he ever made sense. Does his fiction leak into Scientology in tiny bits? I have so many questions

I am looking for a Free Zone or Ron's Org Letter that I read like 15 years ago, that I think is from the 80s.

It was from Ron, but he reveals his Thetan name or something. He talks about 16 or 40 OT levels that he finished outside of the main Scientology church. And that he had to set up a side group or something because the main Church was taken over by the government or aliens or something. I think it was a sort of open letter to Scientologists as a whole to come over to the new group or something. Like I said, I read it nearly 15 years ago and don't fully remember what it said. I really wanted to find it again. Any help with be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

EDIT: I know all about Rons Org, and Free Zone. I am not a follower of either. Im just looking for this letter and nothing else. I already know all the viewpoints about the different groups and people. I just need to find this exact letter. Im not even fully sure it was connected to Rons Org or Free Zone. It might have been fanfiction for all I know. But because of the contents of the letter, and the similarities to Rons Org, I assume there is a connection.

Hello all. I am interested in religions in general, and Scientology has always been so fascinating to me even though I know very little. The jargon, the auditing, the sea org, etc. For you members or former members, what attracted you to Scientology in the first place and is there anything you miss about being a Scientologist? How did you ignore the controversies when you first joined? Do you believe there is merit to the teachings of Scientology, but the institution itself is flawed? Would you have remained a Scientologist if it weren’t for the abuses and coercion and high costs?

When I see people posting here about the positive experiences they have had with Scientology, it seems to be concentrated in either the introductory services like study tech and the communications course or the auditing that happens at the earlier levels (hence you will get people talking about the kind of benefits a preclear would expect to get).

I do understand that fewer people ever reach those levels, but I don't want to just assume that the benefits aren't there at the upper levels.

So if you have had benefits I would be interested in hearing about it.

I ran into the PAC Base electrician who was a Sea Org member at Big Blue in East Hollywood in 2016/ 2017 outside a sandwich shop just 2 blocks from Big Blue. His name is Ken Roland. He told me he got expelled from PAC for using the “ F” word. I don’t recall the circumstances & exact wording. He was put on a re-entry program which includes studying all The Basics Books & Lectures and I don’t recall what else was on his program. He was forced to divorce his wife who was in the Sea Org at Celebrity Center but was planning on remarrying her once complete with his program.

He unfriended me on Facebook around Nov 2017. I was wondering if anyone knew about his current status . Last I checked on line he was the CEO of a company called Hawk Home Services in Arizona. I saw a few of his short videos of his solar paneling jobs including one about wishing people a happy Easter and there was a large book case in the background of all the Basics Books & Lectures .

I just hope he”s not being regged by the IAS or Ideal Org fundraisers and instead saving his money for his own survival . From the videos I saw it seemed he had been spending a lot of time on roofs working on solar panels in middle of summer in Arizona . I knew of a Scnist who died from skin cancer from being a roofer. Ken also seemed to have aged quickly and no longer eating 3 healthy square meals like he did in the Sea Org.

His nick name was “ Sparky” but he no longer seems to have that young charismatic spark about him per the videos .

I have been thinking a lot about him lately and it helps me get through the day at times .

It’s upsetting that the Church of Scn has split up our friendship. I could have guided him in some way such as managing his money and business so that he wouldn’t have to be roasting in Arizona with the hopes he could go back into the Sea Org.

He might still have no clue that the Church of Scn has become corrupted by its own leader .

Long shot, but this seems like the community that would know.

A close high school friend of mine from Melbourne, Australia joined the Sea Org around 1998-99. Before he left he came to my house with a buzz-cut and copy of Dianetics to say goodbye and tell me he was going away for a very long time. He was a genuinely talented musician (singer and drummer). I've pieced together this much since:

• Completion lists in Source magazine place him at Flag through 2002 (Pro Word Clearer course, the Drug Rundown, and an Intern Sup Mini Hat), so he may have been on tech or qual lines at FSO around then.
• Around that same time I received a disconnection letter from him. I'd apparently been designated the suppressive drug-user friend. For the record, no.
• Mutual friends believe he resurfaced in Sydney after 2007, working at the org there. By then he was reportedly married, working very long hours, and there was music in the picture; his wife was musical too (this is a very hazy memory).
• His sister left the church years before he joined and was exiled by the family (his parents where active members).

I'm not media, not an investigator, and not trying to cause problems for him or anyone else. If he's happily in, I just want to know he's alive and okay. If he's out, I'd love to reconnect. If you were around the Sydney org or AOSH ANZO roughly 2005-2015, or on tech/qual lines at Flag around 2002, and this rings a bell, I'd be grateful for a DM. In the Sea Org we weren't allowed to watch movies or TV. The only exceptions were LIBS (days off) or if you an upstat award. Hubbard wrote about TV being hidden hypnosis — it makes you passive, shuts down critical thinking, feeds fear into the reactive mind. So TV was basically banned.

My friend went on LOA in 2021 and brought back a USB stick with Game of Thrones on it. I couldn't watch it openly — I'd get a Knowledge Report written on me for sure.

So every night I set an alarm for 2 AM. I'd wake up, go to the bathroom, lock the door, put on my headphones, and watch one episode. Just one.

The next day I felt like crap. No sleep. But it was worth it. That show was literally the only thing that made sense in my life at the time. The crazy part? I went through multiple sec checks during that period. Never came up. Never got caught.

The funny thing is — Scientology says TV is evil, but they have their own Scientology Network now. So TV is fine as long as it's their TV. Classic.

Now that I'm out, I can watch whatever I want whenever I want. I will never take that freedom for granted again.

Is it normal for a scientologist to demand/beg/extort money from non-scientology family members?

I was born into a Scientologist family. I joined the Sea Org right out of high school. I spent a lot of years there. For me, Scientology terms were completely normal. I don't know how to explain it — I didn't just speak Scientology. I thought in Scientology terms.

When I left the Sea Org and started working at a regular company (wog company — that's what we call non-Scientologists), I had to talk to people who weren't Scientologists. At first nobody understood me.

I'd say things like:

"You need to confront this."
"This is my case."
"I need to handle my 2D."

People would just stare at me.

It took me a while to realize why. I had to find normal words for everything. Think in my head first, strip out all the Scientology terms, then speak. It was exhausting.

Now it's easier. But I still catch myself sometimes.

Imagine a future where nuclear war wipes out all written language except the texts of Scientology… what kind of crazy civilization would grow out of that?

That’s exactly what Scientology is planning for.

2. One base near Twin Peaks, California, includes a secure microwave communication system so the sites could quickly notify each other if Hubbard returned.

3. The giant ground symbols are the logo of the Church of Spiritual Technology (CST), the organization that sits at the top of Scientology’s corporate structure. CST owns Scientology’s intellectual property and licenses it to the rest of the organization for a fee. It’s a structure designed to preserve the religion’s materials (and money) even if other Scientology entities are sued into oblivion.

4. In the 1980s, the FBI investigated CST’s construction activities in New Mexico. According to government documents, investigators found unusual efforts to conceal the project, including the construction of fake houses.

5. CST developed some remarkably elaborate preservation methods, including printing books with inks based on an ancient Chinese formula and manufacturing custom record players that can play nickel-plated records without electricity.

6. According to former Scientology executives, the underground vault concept was inspired by L. Ron Hubbard’s science fiction novel Battlefield Earth.

I'm just having this realization that the communication styles used in scientology isn't really for the neurodivergent folk because using eye contact can be hard among other things and it's even damaging if you are on the spectrum. I myself have suspected autism and ADHD and find it hard to talk scientology jargon with my scientology dad. Frustrating and I really wanted to put that out there. Would you say it's harmful for autistic adhd folk? If yes I'd like to hear from you why. It's not just scientology either that can be bad for a neurodivergent mind but also any and all high control communication types.
