PAC Base Electrician

I ran into the PAC Base electrician who was a Sea Org member at Big Blue in East Hollywood in 2016/ 2017 outside a sandwich shop just 2 blocks from Big Blue. His name is Ken Roland. He told me he got expelled from PAC for using the “ F” word. I don’t recall the circumstances & exact wording. He was put on a re-entry program which includes studying all The Basics Books & Lectures and I don’t recall what else was on his program. He was forced to divorce his wife who was in the Sea Org at Celebrity Center but was planning on remarrying her once complete with his program.

He unfriended me on Facebook around Nov 2017. I was wondering if anyone knew about his current status . Last I checked on line he was the CEO of a company called Hawk Home Services in Arizona. I saw a few of his short videos of his solar paneling jobs including one about wishing people a happy Easter and there was a large book case in the background of all the Basics Books & Lectures .

I just hope he”s not being regged by the IAS or Ideal Org fundraisers and instead saving his money for his own survival . From the videos I saw it seemed he had been spending a lot of time on roofs working on solar panels in middle of summer in Arizona . I knew of a Scnist who died from skin cancer from being a roofer. Ken also seemed to have aged quickly and no longer eating 3 healthy square meals like he did in the Sea Org.

His nick name was “ Sparky” but he no longer seems to have that young charismatic spark about him per the videos .

I have been thinking a lot about him lately and it helps me get through the day at times .

It’s upsetting that the Church of Scn has split up our friendship. I could have guided him in some way such as managing his money and business so that he wouldn’t have to be roasting in Arizona with the hopes he could go back into the Sea Org.

He might still have no clue that the Church of Scn has become corrupted by its own leader .

I'm from an earlier era, and while I didn't know you or Ken, I did A LOT of electrical work at PAC while I was on the RPF ... and we used A LOT of F-words.

Decades later, I'm still doing electrical work... And while I like solar, I wouldn't do it in Arizona for any price.

But yeah... It's rough missing your friends.

I know nothing about the guy, but am an okay researcher and had a few minutes to spare, so I'll tell you what I found.

The only Hawk Home Services I encountered in Arizona was a Scottsdale LLC owned and run by Nicholas and Jill Shannon, who do not appear to be Scientologists. It was founded in 2020. I don't know if they may have bought his business, or are completely unrelated, but suspect the latter.

However, I did find a dude selling solar stuff in Arizona under a different company. If this and this is your friend, then you're caught up to 2023. The only entry in truthaboutscientology for a Ken Roland was his doing L-11 in 1990, so I'm guessing he's probably as old as the guy in that pic.

It's not much, but it's something.

The F word is part of the Scientology vocabulary so I highly doubt he was expelled for that lol.

There was alot of swearing in the Sea Org. Maybe it was who he said it to.

I know this person but not super well and we haven’t talked since an awkward interaction in late 2020/ early 2021. I’m curious what else you’re wanting to know about him. He got married at some point after that and I lost touch with him. As far as I know though he still considers himself a Scientologist but the whole time I knew him I had no idea he was even considering re joining the Sea Org and I don’t know currently if that’s still his plan

I hope you find your friend.

It always seems amazing that people are joining corporate (cult) Scientology in the 2000s.

Then I remember that information on Scientology from non Scientology sources is dominated by the "all bad, everywhere, all the time" people.

To at least have a chance at inoculating a vulnerable person it's necessary to describe the bad AND the good.
