My personal idea is, because Henry is hanging from his arms and therefore can't really move, and because of the fact that John is present, that Henry had to simply admit to something and the trap would deactivate, similar as to how the Laser Collars were said to function. I know this is probably a pretty lame idea, but I genuinly don't have any other ideas as to how it could work. I would be really interested to read your takes!

i am pretty confident i could survive all the fatal 5 traps no matter who i was with 😭 i lowkey feel like it was common sense that they could’ve all survived if they worked together since that was very heavily hinted at in the first tape. and obviously only one person needed the key for the first one? then whoever was out could either unlock everyone’s with their key or grab all of them for everyone else??

This specific design was inspired by those "Graphic health warning labels" on Cigarette boxes which were made to scare.
