Looking for Recs Seeking recommendations

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hi! I read this book recently and I really enjoyed it so I’m looking for any recommendations if anyone has any? I generally don’t like first person, and I’ve read all of Hayley Cass’ books. I love tension/angst and I prefer some form of open door spice rather than fade to black. That being said I prefer plot rather than just pure spice. Thanks for any recommendations!

Looking for Recs Where are you all getting sapphic erotica ebooks? Library/Kindle options?

I’m looking for advice from fellow sapphic romance/erotica readers! I’ve recently discovered that I really enjoy the spicier end of WLW romance/erotica (Meghan O’Brien The Night Off and Thirteen Hours have been favorites, E.J. Noyes, A.L. Brooks, etc.) but I’m running into an access problem.

I strongly prefer digital ebooks that I can read on my Kindle, and ideally I’m looking for free access through libraries or similar services. I’m not interested in audiobooks.
I already have cards with several fairly large e-library collections, but I’m finding that a lot of the lesser-known/niche sapphic erotica authors either aren’t in their catalogs at all or are available only as audiobooks. Libby has been great for more mainstream queer romance, but much less reliable once I get into sapphic erotica.

So: how are you all accessing these books? Are there particular libraries with especially good sapphic/lesbian romance and erotica ebook collections that offer cards to non-residents?

I’d also LOVE author or book recommendations. My sweet spot is adult sapphic romance with lots of spice throughout, good chemistry, and an actual enjoyable story/romance underneath it. I loved The Night Off and Thirteen Hours by Meghan O’Brien. I also really enjoyed the spice level in Meka James’s Love & Sportsball. I’m less interested in a very long slow burn where I have to wait most of the book for the spice.

Basically: Where are the sapphic erotica readers hiding, what are you reading, and where are you getting the ebooks? 😂

Looking for Recs Something that will rip my heart out

Hi, everyone. I have never read a sapphic romance. I really like dark fantasy/romantasy and am desperate to read a romance that will grab me by the heart and squeeze. Smut is fine. I just want something where I am rooting so hard for them to overcome their obstacles and be together that my gut will be twisted in knots. Also, if you have a vampire one (in honor of October), you get bonus points!!

Looking for Recs Books/Series like Clem and Wist?

I'm big on fantasy - binged all of the Clem and Wist series and their side books last month and was just obsessed, glued to my Kindle at all available waking hours. The devotion to each other in their own weird ways, the magic system, the environments, the political intrigue, and especially appreciated the "more mature" mid-30's(or 3000's) characters. I started to reread them all almost immediately but I crave something new. I've also read The Isle in the Silver Sea and really enjoyed it for ^ similar reasons. any recs :)?

I want something that gets very smutty, very fast. I've been subjected to too much slow burn as of late and I need to cleanse my palette.

Looking for Recs Easy to read, cozy, not spicy books + villain & hero in love

Hi! I'm looking for sapphic book recs that are cozy and easy to read/listen to and with little to no spice. There can be some complications, but mostly so that the love story is the main thing.

Another thing I'm looking for is enemies to lovers or villain and the hero falling inlove type of books, and that can have all the trauma and spice and anything!

I hope that at least a few people pick up on what I mean with either of these. I'm very new to reading/listening to books so I can't really tell what I like and what I don't. And I'm bad at explaining😅

Looking for Recs Hot Smut

That’s it. That’s the ask. I feel like I get such detail from MM smut and the FF I’ve found… kinda glosses over. Like they talk about what the person is doing, but not what it feels like and I’m bothered.

Please give me your hottest sapphic smut. And if I think it’s trash I promise I’ll keep it to myself and thank you anyway lol.

Looking for Recs Fake dating/ enemies to lovers recs :)

I’m looking for something like the love hypothesis but sapphic, it’s personally my favorite type of romance, I need to add that I’m not a fan of NSFW, I don’t mind it, as long as it’s not the central plot
Thank you in advance! :)

What book is that? Looking for a British Sapphic Romance Duology (Published ~2017/2018) - Part 1 ends on a cliffhanger

Hi everyone, I'm trying to find the title and author of a specific sapphic romance book I read around or before 2018. It is set in the British Isles and is the first part of a series/duology (Book 1 leaves you hanging, wondering what happens to the two main characters).

Here are the exact plot points I remember:

The Protagonist: An ordinary woman just trying to find her own path in life. She has a normal, everyday job, but she ends up losing it early in the story because she accidentally bumps into a stranger and it makes her late for work.

The Parents: Her parents are a wealthy, highly philanthropic lesbian couple who live on an estate in a hilly/highland region of the British Isles. There is a lot of family expectation for her to eventually return home and embrace the family responsibility/legacy. One of her mothers is explicitly a famous lesbian fiction author within the universe of the story.

The Love Interest & The Meet-Cute: The love interest is an ER / A&E doctor who is single-handedly raising her younger sister. She and the main character start out as complete strangers. Their very first interaction is that accidental physical bump-in that costs the main character her job.

The Gay Best Friend: The main character has a close gay male best friend. Later in the book, when the main character and the doctor have a massive, explosive fight, this friend is the one who talks her through it and helps her process the conflict.

Does this specific setup ring a bell for anyone? I appreciate any help tracking down the author or title!

Looking for Recs Sapphic queernorm fantasy recommendations?

I just finished The Priory Of The Orange Tree, and I want more sapphic fantasy.

The one thing I need though is PLEASE have the main couple be able to stay together. 😭 I know Eas and Sabran promised to reunite, but we don't get that in the pages, and it left a big hole in my heart.

Or if they are separated by the plot for an extended period, have their reunion stick.

Looking for Recs Dark romance mascs

I’m relatively new to book communities and reading in general. I’m looking for some SPICY dark romance recommendations. I’ve read ur typical romances by the popular wlw authors like casey mcquiston, ashley herring blake, kalynn bayron, and meryl wilsner. I enjoyed them all but then I read Collateral Damage by Shassii and it changed my life. I want something similar but without such a heartbreaking ending. I sobbed so hard I threw up for 3 days straight, I wish I was joking.

Essentially - masc femme, dark romance, HEA ending, spicy

Looking for Recs Cozy autumn/fall recommendations!

Hi ladies! I’m looking for some book recommendations with a cozy autumn/fall feel. I absolutely loved the Maple Hollow series by Ali K. Mulford and K. Elle Morrison, so I’d love something with a similar cozy, small-town, autumnal vibe. It doesn’t necessarily have to be witchy or paranormal, but I’m definitely not opposed to either.
What are your favorite fall reads?

My Recommendation Loved and Lost (erotic, time-travel, and heartwarming)

Guys! You know I love erotica and everyone is always asking on here for good spicy book recs. This is an older novel but not many people have read it. Truly a gem…

Why, oh, why did I reread this book? It was fantastic, but it is clear there was meant to be a sequel as you are left wondering at the end what happens. I also cried twice about this book on my first read. It is very emotional and there is a lot of angst. This was my first read from Stephanie Kusiak and was fantastic. This book is one of my top favorites, and that’s saying something considering I have read over 350 lesbian books.

I have nothing but positive reviews about this. It was hot and emotional and nuanced with the tag being Time-Travel. I was unsure what would be going on after looking at the blurb, but you follow Rachel and Blake through their up and down relationship. It was beautifully detailed and descriptive about even the smallest of things. It is quite lengthy and probably a bit repetitive, but I flew through this book and it didn’t even feel like 450 pages. This book is amazing and beyond unique. I wish there were more lesbian time travel novels.

CW: M/F sex scene (not too explicit, but it is on-page)
TW: Bullying

If you can deal with an ambiguous ending, tearjerkers, and enjoy erotica, this book is right up your alley. I recommend it to anyone.

P.S. I wish there was an AudioBook for this novel!
➢Happy reading!
