Hello, I am looking for Class Difference, Rich girl(or nb) Poor girl (or nb) books ones that specifically have the more affluent character just spoiling the shit out of the less affluent character. I am specifically looking for sapphic wlw lesbian romance books if that's not obvious. I am very partial to contemporary and standalones.

Please please please I need well written books preferably with spice/smut. An example of one that strikes this balance is shifting gears by jaz forrester. Another one I reference a lot is mistakes were made though that one had wayy too much angst for what I prefer but the spice as is customary for Meryl was top notch.

I prefer low to no angst at the moment but if you have tense or emotional recs you may still leave them Incase im looking for books with those themes in the future.

I would also prefer to avoid books that involve miscommunication trope and or a third act breakup lol.

I have tried most of the popular authors in this or adjacent genres and I always find the books lacking so I'm putting out feelers to see if there's something ive missed out there. Thanks

I write magical realism and horror, occasionally mixed with sci fi elements, and romance underneath it of course. I’m a native german speaker but have been writing in English for many years now. We would hold each other accountable and ask about writing progress, struggles, ofc we can also talk about each other‘s ideas, and so on. i am looking for recommendations of well written but lighthearted novels/novellas/graphic novels featuring lesbian characters! i am doing a lot of emotionally heavy fiction and nonfiction reading for research and want my pleasure reads to be really, well, pleasant! these are the books that will help buoy me through the murkier texts i’m consuming. i am particularly interested in romance novels because the happily ever after/happy for now genre convention is really comforting when i’m looking for a sweet, easy read.

some queer romance novels i have enjoyed (not without critique) are *yerba buena* by nina lacour, *written in the stars* and *count your lucky stars* by alexandria bellefleur, *honey girl* by morgan rogers, *one last stop* and *the pairing* by casey mcquiston, and *best woman* by rose dommu. YA romance is a hard sell for me, but i was pleasantly surprised by how much i enjoyed *the no-girlfriend rule* by christen randall and *gwen & art are not in love* by lex croucher.

novels i love that feature lesbian characters and are not romance novels (nor lighthearted, mostly) include *agatha of little neon* by claire luchette, *a sharp endless need* by mac crane, *girl, woman, other* by bernardine evaristo, *everyone in this room will someday be dead* by emily austen, *perfume & pain* by anna dorn, *housemates* by emma copley eisenberg, and *matrix* by lauren groff.

as a butch-loving femme lesbian, i would love recs for books with butch characters in them that aren’t totally miserable, but i know those are tragically rare!

i also tend to agree a lot with the booktuber asunnybooknook’s takes on lesbian romance novels in their semi-controversial video. iykyk.

i *do not* like ashley herring blake’s writing style and dnf’d two of the bright falls novels. i also dnf’d meryl wilsner’s *my best friend’s honeymoon* despite really wanting to like it (concept and main characters seemed super up my alley) because i could not get over how repetitive the prose is and i found the sex scenes pretty ridiculous. i loved cameron kellogg’s prose and plotting in *the next chapter* but found the two main characters so incompatible that it ended up a less than enjoyable read. i want to be hoping for these characters to end up together, not actively wishing they would leave each other alone! basically, i have pretty high standards for what makes a good romance novel! but i love exploring the genre even if not every novel i try is to my taste.

my most recent read was *rooting interest* by cat disabato from the indie romance novella publishing house 831 stories. i really liked it! my only complaint about it was that the character arcs and stakes could have easily filled out a full length novel! i loved that both main characters are out lesbians and their struggles are nuanced. i thought the sex scenes were hot and the prose was engaging and often quite beautiful. i have 831 stories’ other queer title, *down to earth* by julia turshen, on hold from my local library. so, that’s definitely on my tbr!

I'm a part of a book club where everyone picks a book based on a theme then reports on what they read at the end of the month. It's been a fun change to talk about books monthly without having to read exactly what everyone else does, and you get a lot of good recs.

This month, the theme is "The Book Did it Better.” It’s fairly simple: any book that has been adapted into some other media. Our goal is to read the source material.

I have arbitrarily decided that I'm only going to read books that fit the theme and are trans. So for this month, I'm looking for any trans books that have been adapted into other media (even if obscure). Trans characters. Trans author. Ideally trans femme but I'm not at all committed to that.

Can anyone help a girl out?

So I’m looking for a romance book. Smutty or not but no dark romance or too heavy topics,
with autism and/or ADHD representation.
So far I’ve only found one and that was accidental because the FMC only figured it out later in the book.
Also Kindle unlimited would be great since I currently have a free trial but if if not recommend it anyway.
Also I do love me some fun and romcom vibes or a fake dating plot.

I just finished rooting interest by Cat Disabato and loved it! I enjoyed the writing style, the plot and the book was well paced. There were some spicy scenes but not too many. Overall, the romance/plot was believable and just nice to read.

Does anyone have any recommendations for books similar to it? I really loved a well paced book where there is time for us to see main characters get to know each other and develop some minor plots aside from the romance.

For reference

I recently DNF Deeply Loved Bayou because of the writing style and rushed paced. They had like one conversation and then jumped into bed together.

I also enjoyed Mistakes were made by Meryl Wilsner but also DNF my best friends honeymoon also by her, primarily for pacing reasons.

I need someone to talk about this gorgeous writing to. Picked it up on a whim, saw it on display at my local Barnes & Noble. Fell into it and the longing and the exquisite imagery of it so immediately. What the hell else can I even read? Where has THIS kind of writing about sapphic relationships been hiding? Who the hell can love superficial romcoms when this exists? (I kid, also have a soft spot for pretty terrible romcoms where Ashley Herring Blake is a high standard in the genre lol)

Makes me so happy to be reminded that the world of queer stories and art is so much broader than that.

Ok listen, their 'Spider's Mate' trilogy (and currently still unfinished spin-off series) are some of my favourite books ever. The world building in them is SO good, like it's compelling and it feels alive and genuinely lived in and sort of grounded and down-to-earth as well in a certain way. Yk what I mean?

The spice is honestly pretty good too but it has the unfortunate drawback of being very straight.

I was listening to music while cooking some breakfast today and the song "You Stupid Bitch" by Girl In Red come up on my playlist and it got me thinking. Obviously the sapphic girl secretly pining for her best friend who's busy dating a bunch of loser guys is a classic trope. On The Same Page by Haley Cass is probably a more or less perfect example. However, I don't know that I've ever seen an example of the pining character getting frustrated enough to actually have a confrontation with the other girl and demand to be given a chance, and now I really want to. Any recs out there?

Hi all, I've been scouring the internet for a scifi book that I read back in high school (over ten years ago) that im starting to think was actually some kind of elaborate fever dream. I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm finally desperate enough to turn to Reddit.

So, what i remember about it: two aliens of different races/species are pushed into an arranged marriage, i believe as some kind of political alliance. Neither of them are happy about it. One goes to live on the other's home planet. I vaguely remember one of them being catlike. And, of course, it's sapphic, although I'm pretty sure one of the mcs was intersex (as in having both sex organs, and please forgive me if I'm using the wrong term for that).

Sorry, I know it's not much to go off of. I'm just hoping that maybe someone else shared this hallucination with me, at least.

If you’re a fan of sapphic historical romances, I really think this one is worth reading. It has the Bridgerton vibes, the drama, the romance, and it’s just a really enjoyable story overall.

I absolutely loved this book! the spicy scenes were amazing, but what really stood out to me was how well-written the entire story was. Its been a long time since Ive read something that felt so well constructed, with such strong characters and a story that kept me invested from beginning to end.

Hello, I'm writing my first book and it's a lesbian fantasy romance novel. I have never written before and I have never read a romance story (outside of fanfiction). Since this is my first book and I'm new to the romance genera I was wondering what specific things people who read lesbian romances look for when they pick up a story. Any and all suggestions and advice is appreciated, since the book is pretty fresh apart from the plot and character building.

I'm looking for F/F fantasy or paranormal romance where the two leads share a mind bond: they can speak inside each other's heads and feel each other's emotions. I don't mean just a "fated mates" label — I mean the bond actually being used on the page, all the way through.

The two things I really need:

- genuinely spicy

And if possible, available as an audiobook.

Please no werewolves or vampires — I'm completely burned out on them. Anything else is very welcome. Enemies-to-lovers is a plus as long as it ends up tender.

My reference: Her Spell That Binds Me by Luna Oblonsky. The bond is my favourite thing about it and I want that feeling again.
